"I know where the Art Club is, but I can't tell you right now. How about this." Chen Ge paused for a moment: "You join my club first and make up the number of people. If you perform well, I promise to take you to the Art Club in person."
"Join your club first?" Zhou Tu looked at Zhang Ju next to Chen Ge. To be honest, the kid did look a little scary. "Is this a test?"
He secretly muttered to himself that he had asked many people, but those people either had never heard of the art club, or tried to evade the question and change the subject. Only Chen Ge told him clearly that the art club did exist.
After thinking for a while, Zhou Tu felt that Chen Ge was a little unreliable, but it was impossible for a school teacher to lie. He finally nodded and said, "Okay, I'll join. Teacher, what club are you in charge of?"
"Fill out the application form first." Chen Ge looked at Zhou Tu and said after he signed his name: "Our club is called the Paranormal Research Club. It mainly explores campus legends and some supernatural phenomena."
After hearing Chen Ge's introduction, Zhou Tu was stunned. He couldn't believe that there was such a club in his school.
If there is a teacher specifically in charge, then the club must be officially recognized.
"There are too many people here, let's find a quiet place to chat." Chen Ge was about to leave with his two new students when a quarrel suddenly broke out in the center of the square.
Many students stopped to watch, and Chen Ge also stopped.
"What happened?"
"It seems like someone wanted to join the street dance club, but was rejected, and then a quarrel broke out."
"It's just joining a club, what's the fuss about?"
"It seems like someone started a fight! There's a fight!"
"Teacher Bai, should we go over and stop them?"
"It's outrageous that a freshman is like this right after entering school." Although Chen Ge said this, he had no intention of trying to stop the fight. He had impersonated Teacher Bai's identity and could not be too high-profile in such a public occasion.
After a while, the two fighting parties were pulled apart, and the female teacher that Chen Ge had just seen in the office also ran out.
The teacher seemed to have a lot of things to do and was very busy, so when he came out, he scolded all the students who were fighting without asking any questions.
After the students dispersed, the hot-tempered female teacher left and returned to the office building, as if to continue her work.
"The teachers in this school seem to have lost some of their memories. They are different from the teachers in the East Campus." Chen Ge didn't want to cause trouble, but trouble found him.
The freshman who had just had a fight with the street dance club walked towards Chen Ge, covering his arm. Maybe he didn't look at the road or for some other reason, but he tripped while going up the stairs and fell right next to Chen Ge.
"Damn! Even the stairs are against me. What kind of world is this? Why does everyone want to bully me!" He cursed, his eyes red and swollen, and forced himself to get up.
"Are you okay?" Chen Ge looked the student up and down.
The other person was very handsome, young, with pierced ears and a large scar on his arm, as if he hadn't washed his tattoo cleanly.
This kid's style of dressing is rather alternative. He doesn't wear any big brands. He wears some trendy clothes himself, so he doesn't look like a student at all.
"It's okay." The male student glanced at Chen Ge. The teacher in front of him was the first person who cared about him.
"When you were fighting with the hip-hop club just now, you were the first to start, right?"
"What's wrong? Do you want to punish me?" The boy's eyes turned extremely unfriendly when he looked at Chen Ge.
“What I want to say is, there are so many people in the street dance club and you are just one person, why do you have to fight with them? Can’t you just talk it out peacefully? If you are so impulsive, you will be the one who suffers in the end.” Chen Ge’s voice was mature and warm, like an older brother.
Seeing that Chen Ge did not mean to blame him, but was full of concern in his words, the male student's voice also slowed down and was no longer so aggressive: "It's mainly because they are too bullying. Just because they dislike the way I dress, the responsible student has been mocking and ridiculing me. I endured it until the end, but they actually told me that the quota was full and asked me to go to other clubs."
"If that's the case, it's not your fault." Chen Ge motioned the male student to the side of the road: "Why do you insist on joining the hip-hop club? Do you like hip-hop dancing?"
"I can't say I like you." The male student said the truth after a long pause: "I asked a few clubs, but they all rejected me. It may be because I have a unique temperament."
The male student laughed at himself. He felt that this was a very embarrassing thing and was about to leave after saying it.
"Wait, I have a club here, would you like to consider it?" Chen Ge took out the application form: "I think you are a good kid. Those clubs don't want you because they don't have good vision."
Looking at the application form in Chen Ge's hands, the male student hesitated. He shook his head and said, "Dignity is earned by oneself. What others give is called charity. I don't need anyone to pity me."
"You have personality. I admire you more and more." Chen Ge stuffed the application form directly to the boy: "You dress differently from other students. You must have some experiences that they don't have. Can you tell me about it?"
Chen Ge's sincere attitude and gentle tone helped the male student come out of his "hard shell".
"There's not much to say. I've never seen my parents. I've always been with my grandmother. She set up a wonton stand in the alley, and we barely made ends meet. When I was a kid, I hung out with the older kids in the alley, smoking, drinking, stealing bicycles, and doing whatever I wanted to have fun with."
"I had been working there for several years. One time, it was raining heavily and I went back to my grandmother's wonton stand early. I happened to see the urban management officers moving my grandmother's wonton stand onto their truck. I started a fight with them right then."
The male student curled his lips with a complicated expression: "I hurt someone, so I went to a juvenile detention center. When I came out, my grandma hugged me and cried for a long time."
"There's not much to say, actually. I started going to school again, and then I was admitted to university."
This student had a rough life. Chen Ge carefully observed his face. He looked very young, but his eyes were filled with deep fatigue and anxiety, as if he was always afraid and worried about something.
"You are a good kid, but too impulsive. However, I like your drive. Come to my club. Credits will be a small problem." Chen Ge invited the boy again. This time, he did not refuse and signed his name on the application form - Zhu Long.
"There's another new student. It seems our club is still very popular." Chen Ge put away the application form and said, "Let's go find a place with few people. We'll start our first club activity tonight."
