Chen Ge's Paranormal Research Society already has four members: Wang Yicheng, who has a weak leg, Zhang Ju, who has a disfigured face, Zhou Tu, who is looking for the art club, and Zhu Long, who has an impulsive personality and is prone to fighting.
Each member has a distinct personality. If Chen Ge is really a school teacher, then their club must be very interesting.
Unfortunately, this was not the case. Chen Ge wanted to obtain useful information from them, but he did not completely want to use those children.
To the best of his ability, Chen Ge will help these students recall their lost memories and try to take them away with him.
Across the square, several members of the Paranormal Research Society gathered together.
Everyone looked at each other, and a very impolite word emerged in their minds. This club was like an orphanage, and all the members were students who were unwanted by other clubs.
"Teacher Bai, don't tell me these are all the members of our club." Zhou Tu originally wanted to join the Art Club, but he joined such a club without knowing why. He felt like he was being cheated.
The atmosphere was a bit awkward. Wang Yicheng and Zhang Ju, who had physical disabilities, looked away and did not dare to say anything. Zhu Long, on the other hand, acted indifferent and even became more curious about this club.
"You guessed right, but I suggest you watch your tone. After a while you will find out how lucky you are to join this club." Chen Ge's voice was filled with pride. "Everyone in this club was invited by me personally. Everyone here is unique. My club does not need ordinary people. Only extraordinary people can join."
Zhou Tu rolled his eyes when he heard what Chen Ge said. If he had not already signed the application form, he would have left immediately.
"I know you don't believe what I say yet and doubt the meaning of our club's existence." Chen Ge glanced at several students and said, "I don't like to use words to convince others. After the club activities start, I will use facts to restore a real world for you."
Chen Ge's expression was serious and he didn't seem to be joking. Several students fell silent.
"Before I let you see the real world, I want to ask you a question. What does the world look like in your eyes?" Chen Ge wanted to understand the past of these children and see if he could find any clues from their memories.
Wang Yicheng was the first to speak, and he recounted his past. Next was Zhu Long, and then it was Zhang Ju's turn.
Before entering high school, Zhang Ju was just an ordinary child. He studied hard and was admitted to a good university. His life trajectory had been arranged until the day the college entrance examination was over.
That night he and his friends went to sing, the karaoke bar caught fire, and Zhang Ju and his friends were trapped in the box.
When he was rescued, his cheeks and scalp were burned, leaving hideous scars.
Zhang Ju stayed at home for two months, receiving psychological counseling and treatment. Finally, after adjusting his mentality, he chose to face himself again and reported to the university.
This story is very inspiring, but Chen Ge heard some problems in it.
"Do you remember what happened when you were hospitalized for treatment?" Logically speaking, this memory should be the pain deep in Zhang Ju's heart, but his expression did not fluctuate when he talked about it, as if this happened to someone else and he was just a bystander.
Zhang Ju spoke sporadically about his hospitalization experience. Chen Ge could tell that he was not deliberately hiding it, but he really couldn't remember it.
"Zhang Ju had an accident during the holiday after the college entrance examination. When Wang Yicheng told his story before, his memory of the last holiday was very vague. The same is true for Zhu Long."
Chen Ge looked at the children in front of him, and he had a guess in his mind. These students did not forget what happened in the last summer vacation, but they died in that summer vacation.
Obsession brings all the memories, whether good or bitter, and preserves them all, so they remember many things that happened before, but have forgotten that summer vacation.
"Teacher Bai, are you feeling unwell?" Zhou Tu was a smart man who knew how to read people's expressions. He noticed that Chen Ge looked unhappy after listening to the stories of several students, so he quickly asked, "Why don't we just forget about today's club activities and go back to rest early?"
"I already know their pasts, what about you?" Chen Ge's expression returned to normal.
"I'm very ordinary. I usually study, draw, eat and sleep. I've never even been in a relationship. There's really nothing to say." Zhou Tu spread his hands. He felt that he was the most normal member in the club.
"Didn't you tell me that you've been having a recurring dream lately?"
"Do you want to tell that here?" Zhou Tu obviously didn't want to tell his secret to so many people.
"I won't force you. If you feel like you can say it, then say it. If you can't, that's fine too."
"There's nothing to hide..." Zhou Tu still wanted to rely on Chen Ge to find the Art Club. In his opinion, this strange supernatural research club was just a stepping stone. "I reported to the school quite early. Since I moved into the dormitory, I always had the same dream every night. I dreamed that I was sitting in a studio with oil paintings on the walls. The atmosphere was very depressing. There were twelve other people around me, and each of us was painting."
"Oil painting studio? There are thirteen painters in it?" Chen Ge immediately thought of the scene he saw in the night school laboratory building. He found that he might have really picked up a treasure this time. Zhou Tu could dream about the things in the oil painting studio, which meant that he might have been to that place before and even created a painting himself, but for some reason, he forgot all these things.
"Yes, the dream is getting clearer and clearer, as if I experienced it myself, but I have no impression of it at all." Zhou Tu lowered his head slowly: "This feeling is very uncomfortable. Every morning when I wake up, I take a pen and want to recreate this dream. I try to paint what I dreamed of, but I can't find oil painting materials, so I have been thinking about applying for the art club."
After listening to Zhou Tu's words, Chen Ge nodded. He hesitated for a moment and then said, "If I say I have seen you dream about that scene, would you believe it?"
"Have you seen it?"
"Yes, it's in this school!" Chen Ge was very sure: "If you really want to go, I can take you there, but you have to agree to one condition of mine."
"What conditions?" Zhou Tu's voice changed. Only he knew how incredible that dream was.
"From now on, you must listen to me. This is the premise for me to take you there."
