Chapter 96 The Game Begins

The last classroom was a place that Chen Ge did not want to stay in for long, but Fei Youliang and Zhu Jianing walked in openly.

There seemed to be something strange mixed in the air. Walking in the classroom was like being thrown into deep water. There was an indescribable sense of oppression around me at all times, and even breathing was not so smooth.

“Youliang, how about I wait for you outside?” This classroom was even more gloomy than the corridor. Wang Jianing stood behind Fei Youliang with an unsightly expression and sweat on his forehead.

“What did we say before we came to the haunted house? We’d advance together and retreat together. Are you scared now that we’ve just started?” Fei Youliang was becoming more and more annoyed. The dark-colored school uniforms around him were obviously just ordinary clothes, very different from the costumes and props used in horror movies. But these uniforms, which looked nothing out of the ordinary, made him afraid to approach.

Zhu Jianing obviously didn't notice that his teammates were already panicking. He asked cautiously in a low voice, "Where do you think the actors in the haunted house might hide? Will they suddenly jump out from under their school uniforms?"

“I don’t know. A normal haunted house should be like this.” Fei Youliang walked down from the podium. He clenched his fists and walked between two rows of desks. Nothing scary happened. “It seems like there’s no one in the house.”

"If there were no hidden actors, why would they spend so much effort setting up the scene? They carved so many bloody words on the table and deliberately placed some tattered school uniforms there." Zhu Jianing said, glancing at the door next to him. "Also, the door of this classroom seemed to have opened on its own just now, as if someone was luring us in."

"It was probably the wind that blew it." Fei Youliang turned around and glared at Zhu Jianing. "Instead of talking nonsense, why don't you come in and look for the passage and the mechanism?"

"Don't be angry, I'm just trying to help you analyze it." Zhu Jianing walked in the other direction of the classroom. He was a strong man, and when he passed a seat in the middle of the classroom, he accidentally knocked his school uniform off the chair.

He didn't care at all, and didn't plan to pick it up. He stepped on the school uniform and walked to the back door of the classroom: "There's really nothing to be afraid of. I thought something would suddenly jump out when I passed by the desk..."

Halfway through his speech, Zhu Jianing's voice became lower and lower. When he turned around, he found that the classroom was exactly the same as before, with no changes.

"When I passed by, it seemed that a school uniform fell on the ground. Youliang, did you pick up that uniform?"

“The school uniform fell on the ground? How come I didn’t see it?” Fei Youliang was on the other side of the classroom, with several desks between them.

"Hallucination?" Zhu Jianing returned the same way and stopped beside the desk in the middle of the classroom: "I remember this school uniform fell to the ground."

He picked up the school uniform and shook it a few times. A strange smell wafted out, a bit like fish.

"This is really weird." Zhu Jianing threw his school uniform on the table, squatted down, and began to check whether there were any traps around.

He shook the desk and chair and everything seemed normal. Just when he was about to give up, he heard the sound of marbles colliding in the desk drawer.

"Is there something in there?" Zhu Jianing bent down, supported himself with one hand, and put his face close to the drawer opening.

The dark drawer was filled with test papers and textbooks.

"Why is there a sound of marbles colliding? Is there a layer in this drawer?" He looked at the dark drawer and reached out to take out the waste paper in the drawer. As soon as he took out a piece of paper, he suddenly saw two round eyeballs behind the paper staring at him!

"groove!"

The sudden fright caused Zhu Jianing, who was half-squatting on the ground, to fall backwards. His scalp was numb and he knocked over two desks in succession.

“What happened?!” The noise was so loud that Fei Youliang on the other side was also startled.

"There's someone in the drawer!" Zhu Jianing tried to crawl for a long time but couldn't get up, his face pale.

“Are you fucking sick? Why are you putting a person in a drawer?” Fei Youliang cursed and walked to the middle desk. “It should be a prop or something.”

He took out all the rolls of paper and textbooks from the drawer and threw them on the floor: "Look carefully, don't be startled, there's nothing in there."

After a pause of more than ten seconds, Zhu Jianing finally got up from the ground: "I really saw it, it was a pair of eyes, I'm not a human if I lied to you! Really!"

“Even if you saw it, it’s just a way for the haunted house to scare you. Why are you panicking?” Fei Youliang wasn’t afraid at first, but Zhu Jianing’s words made him feel uneasy. “Forget it, let’s get out first.”

The two of them ran out of the classroom in a hurry, leaving a mess on the ground.

"Do we want to continue the tour?" Zhu Jianing was still frightened. Looking at the dark corridor that seemed to have no end, his heart was trembling.

“You’re backing out less than five minutes after coming in? We’re here to cause trouble, not to do voluntary publicity for his haunted house.” Fei Youliang wanted to kick Zhu Jianing: “You’re such a coward. You don’t even deserve the muscles in your body.”

After he finished speaking, he continued to move forward. Although Zhu Jianing was afraid, he had to follow him in order not to embarrass Qin Guang's studio.

As he walked, he looked back. When he saw the door of the last classroom slowly open again, he was startled and quickly caught up with Fei Youliang: "Hurry up, something seems to have come out of that classroom!"

The two people ran forward in a hurry, ignoring the toilet at the corner, and came to the first fork.

"How big is this haunted house scene? Why are there two roads?"

Zhu Jianing was at a loss, and Fei Youliang kept frowning. He loved horror movies and had visited many haunted houses, but this was the first time he had encountered a haunted house like this one.

I didn't see any staff member pretending to be a ghost throughout the whole process, but the feeling of fear was lingering. The longer I stayed, the scarier I felt.

In the past, he could see "ghosts" in the haunted houses he visited. As long as a "ghost" appeared, there would be a flaw, because the "ghosts" in those haunted houses were all pretending to be people. At least it could tell him that there were other living people in this horror scene, and it was man-made.

But the haunted house he visited today completely overturned his previous impression of haunted houses. There were no actors involved in the whole process, but it created an inexplicable sense of horror, which made him always in a state of tension, not knowing when something extremely terrifying would happen.

"Let's go over here first."

The corridor became narrower, and Fei Youliang and Zhu Jianing walked towards the girls' dormitory.

The first few rooms were not too scary. The tension of the two people was relieved, and the fear lingering in their hearts was also dissipated a lot, but then they entered the room where the Ouija board was.

In the girls' dormitory, which looked as if a murder had taken place, there were four chairs placed side by side, on which were placed a few sheets of white paper and a ballpoint pen stuck together with transparent tape.
