I present you with a phoenix hairpin, a token of my enduring love for you.

Qin Xi slowly opened her eyes, and what she saw was a large red gauze canopy above the bed, with a big double happiness character embroidered in the center.

It felt like something was pressing down on my waist. I gently lifted the blanket and saw that it was Lu Huai's arm lying across me.

It reminded her of the warmth of last night.

Qin Xi carefully removed his arm, tilted her head, and looked at Lu Huai.

His eyes were closed naturally, and his breathing was long and rhythmic.

Qin Xi slowly turned around, lying on her side facing Lu Huai, and looked at him carefully.

The two were very close, and Lu Huai's shallow breath, carrying the scent of green willows, wafted over, causing Qin Qi to be slightly lost in thought.

The person before me had two striking, sword-like eyebrows, as if they had been deliberately trimmed; his eyelashes cast a light shadow under his eyes, which was quite long for a man; his long breaths were deep beneath his handsome nose; his thin lips were tinged with a faint red, like a forbidden fruit about to ripen, making him unforgettable.

Even with his eyes closed, his handsome features remained undiminished.

Qin Xi suddenly had a rather inappropriate idea.

She wanted to keep looking at him like that.

Qin Xi was startled when she realized this, and her heart seemed to be a little out of control.

I can't watch anymore.

Qin Xi sat up quietly, tiptoed past Lu Huai, put on her clothes, and left the room.

At this moment, only the servants were sweeping the courtyard. When they saw her come out, they quickly greeted her, "Greetings, Young Madam."

Qin Xi nodded and saw Lele and Bao Bao pruning the branches in the flowerpots in the yard.

Hearing the servant's words, the two maids realized she had gotten up. Lele said, "Miss is up. Would you like to wash up and get ready now?"

Qin Xi nodded and said softly, "Keep your voices down, Lu Huai isn't awake yet."

Then he went inside and waited for them to bring in the water.

A short while later, Qin Qi, having finished washing up, sat in front of the dressing table, letting Lele style her hair.

Looking at herself in the mirror, Qin Qi was surprised to realize that she had been wearing her hair in a low bun for so long.

With a flicker of her gaze, Qin Xi noticed the scissors on the dressing table. She paused for a moment, then picked them up.

"Miss, your hair is all styled. Shall we do your makeup now?" Bao Bao leaned closer to Qin Xi and asked.

Qin Qi shook her head, "No need, you can go out first."

"Yes, this servant takes her leave." The two said in unison, bowed, and withdrew.

Qin Xi got up and slowly walked into the inner room.

After a moment, she took off the purse she wore close to her body and put the things in her hand inside. Qin Qi smiled gently, her eyes filled with tenderness, adding a touch of beauty to her bare face.

Qin Qi retied the purse around her waist and touched it affectionately, but a hint of loneliness lingered in her eyes.

With a slow sigh, Qin Xi called her maid in to help her with her makeup.

A woman dresses up for the one she loves. Actually, she doesn't like wearing makeup; she only does it to appear presentable.

After finishing, Qin Qi estimated that the kitchen should have prepared breakfast by now, so she went to wake Lu Huai up so they could have breakfast.

She gently nudged Lu Huai: "Lu Huai."

Lu Huai remained completely still.

"Do I have to splash water again?" Qin Xi sighed as she looked at the fallen leaves outside due to the cold wind. "Never mind, you should just go to sleep."

She stood by the bed, staring at Lu Huai for a long time, feeling as if something was sprouting in her heart and starting to get out of control.

“Chang Jue…” Qin Qi murmured unconsciously.

Lu Huai's eyelashes trembled slightly, but Qin Xi didn't see it.

"Never mind," Qin Xi said, coming back to her senses and curving her lips into a smile.

Qin Xi bent down and tucked the blanket around Lu Huai, saying, "You should get some sleep."
