Qin Yizhi arrived just in time, and Lu Changjue was in a flurry of activity.

"We know we were wrong and are willing to accept the punishment!" Lele and Baobao looked at Qin Xi with guilty expressions and said in unison.

Seeing this, Qin Xi shook her head at them. Then, tugging at Lu Huai's sleeve, she changed the subject: "Did you go buy snowflake crisps?"

Lu Huai's attention was indeed diverted by her, and he said smugly, "Yes, a few days ago you said you wanted to eat it, so I took advantage of the auspicious day to buy it. I don't know if it tastes the same as what you used to eat, but it was definitely bought from the Jingkou Hutong you mentioned. Now your father can't say I'm not good to you, right?"

"Yes, yes, you're so good to me. Let me try it, I'm a little hungry."

"Did you get so hungry you lost your mind?" Lu Huai joked.

Qin Xi glanced at him and gave a soft hum.

"This is the taste!" Qin Xi's eyes narrowed comfortably as she ate what she wanted, unaware that crumbs were stuck to the corners of her mouth.

Lu Huai casually reached out and wiped the crumbs from the corner of her mouth: "You're a grown woman, and you still have crumbs on your lips."

Qin Xi's ears were pink. Lele and Bao Bao next to her had already covered their eyes, but left a crack to peek, and A Yu also turned around.

She was extremely annoyed, always feeling that she couldn't handle Lu Huai, that shameless scoundrel, because he always had a way of annihilating her.

"Why are they covering their eyes?" Lu Huai asked, puzzled.

Too lazy to pay attention to that idiot Lu Huai, Qin Xi stuffed the snowflake crisps in her hand into her mouth, eating them one after another with great enthusiasm.

Seeing that Qin Xi was too busy to pay attention to him, he decided not to make a fool of himself. He stretched and prepared to go take a nap.

As the saying goes, drowsiness is contagious. Seeing Lu Huai enter the room, Qin Xi also started yawning.

"Ah... Could it be that I've been looking at the ledgers for too long today and am feeling a bit tired?" Qin Xi muttered to himself.

"Then Miss, you should go and rest for a while. It just so happens that the young master also needs to sleep," Lele said, winking.

Qin Xi ignored her, but the warm sun on her skin did make her want to sleep.

"Go and get a blanket and put it on the couch. I'm going to take a short nap," Qin Xi instructed.

"yes."

Lu Huai had been asleep in bed for a short while after entering the room, and Qin Xi, lying on the warm couch, also fell asleep soon after.

She had another dream.

She hadn't dreamt for a long time since the night of the arranged marriage. But after a short nap today, she dreamt of Lu Huai again.

In her dream, Lu Huai bought her snowflake pastries just like he did today, and she ate them in the yard as usual.

There were crumbs on the corners of her mouth again. The difference was that although Lu Huai reached out to wipe the crumbs from her mouth, his eyes were very deep.

"Is it delicious?" he asked in a doting tone.

"Delicious!" Qin Xi looked at him with sparkling eyes.

"Hmm," he said, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly, his voice a little hoarse, "let me have a taste too."

“Here,” Qin Xi took another snowflake pastry and handed it to Lu Huai’s mouth.

However, Lu Huai gently grasped her wrist with his right hand, supported her waist with his left hand, and then lowered his head to press his lips against hers.

Qin Xi's eyes widened.

Lu Huai's eyes were filled with laughter. He blinked his peach blossom eyes and then stuck out his nimble tongue to lick Qin Qi's soft little lips.

Qin Xi dropped the snowflake pastry in her hand in surprise.

He didn't stop, but instead pressed his advantage. He pried open her teeth and searched deeper.

Realizing his intention, Qin Xi in the dream immediately snapped out of her daze and gave him a push to create some distance between them.

Lu Huai stood with his hands behind his back, his eyes still smiling, and licked his lips, looking like he wanted more: "Mmm, it really is delicious."

Upon hearing this, even Qin Xi, who was sleeping, blushed.

"I...I'm full. My stomach hurts a little, I'll go inside first." She said this and ran into the house.

Watching her fleeing figure, Lu Huai stood there and chuckled softly.

She heard it and ran even faster.
