Chapter 12: Genius in the Book Pile

Xiang Fan stared at the screen for a few seconds, then he breathed a long sigh of relief, a smile playing on his lips. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he muttered to himself, "Perhaps I'm actually somewhat useful in this area... At least I can understand everything in these books."

In reality, Xiang Fan didn't know that these books on the psychic network were nicknamed "Heavenly Books" among the sect's disciples. Because their content was so dull and complex, even the elders often joked, "Anyone who can survive reading this book is either a madman or a genius."

But to Xiang Fan, these contents were like intriguing puzzles. He could always easily grasp the theories in the books and even translate them into practical results. Those complex terms and concepts—spiritual energy circuits, spiritual pattern connections, guidance optimization—would be obscure to others, but for him, they held a natural appeal.

"This should be considered... talent, right?" Xiang Fan touched his head and muttered a little embarrassedly. He didn't know what "genius" meant, but he knew that these theories were the only thing he could rely on when facing difficulties.

The next day, Xiang Fan went to the Sutra Library with a pile of books to return them. When he put "Access and Maintenance of Psychic Network" back on the shelf, he was spotted by the white-bearded old administrator.

"Huh?" The old man stroked his beard, stared at the book, and asked with a frown, "Have you finished reading this book?"

Xiang Fan felt a little embarrassed and nodded: "Yes, I've finished reading it. I think the theory of spiritual energy circuits in it is quite practical."

"Practical?" The old man was stunned. He narrowed his eyes and glanced at Xiang Fan again, his tone inquiring. "You know, this book was sent by the head sect, right? Even several elders said it was obscure and difficult to understand. How dare you say it's practical?"

Xiang Fan waved his hands repeatedly, his face slightly red. "No, no, it might be... I was just randomly thinking about it... It's just that some of the content in it happened to match the problem with the device at home."

"Device?" The old man was slightly startled, then shook his head, a complex expression in his eyes. He watched Xiang Fan leave with a pile of theoretical books, and couldn't help but mutter to himself, "This little guy... is he born to study psychic networks and theory? Tsk, he's really hard to figure out."

As Xiang Fan left the Sutra Library, he had no idea he had caught the attention of the white-bearded elder. He was contemplating his next renovation plan, glancing down at the newly borrowed book, his eyes filled with anticipation.

"'Spiritual Energy Circulation and Multi-Dimensional Optimization'? It sounds quite complicated. It should be very interesting." He hugged the book tightly in his arms, with a satisfied smile on his lips, and his steps were much lighter than usual.

In this world of cultivation where strength is everything, he might seem ordinary, even somewhat insignificant, but he knew that knowledge was his greatest reliance. And within those theoretical books lay the path to his future.
