As night fell, the cool moonlight filtered through the shabby windows, casting complex shadows on the ground, interweaving with the scattered books on the floor. In Xiang Fan's small room, a few dim spirit stone lamps cast a feeble glow, barely illuminating the cramped space. Though simple, the room felt unusually "full" with books and spare parts. Tilted books piled up beside the bed, and the desk was cluttered with spiritual energy wires, mechanical parts, and a few yellowed books.
The most eye-catching thing on the table is a book called "Access and Maintenance of Psychic Network". The cover has been curled up and there are traces of oil stains on the edges of the pages. It can be seen that it has been read countless times.
Xiang Fan sat cross-legged on the floor, a theoretical book spread across his knees. He held a spirit-marking pen in his hand, intently tracing the runes of the spiritual energy conductor on a small metal plate. He paused, frowning from time to time, as if he were stuck in some kind of dilemma, or perhaps struggling with himself.
"Strange... why is my energy flow always a little stuck?" He muttered softly, his eyes wandering to a passage on the page: "The blockage of energy flow is mostly due to insufficient spiritual energy matching at the spiritual pattern connection point, and it needs to be repaired by an equal spiritual energy circuit."
"Equivalent spiritual energy circuit?" Xiang Fan looked down at the runes on the metal plate, then compared them with the patterns in the book. His brows furrowed even tighter. Suddenly, his eyes lit up and he slapped his forehead: "Ah, it turns out that the contact angle of these two spiritual patterns is wrong!"
He immediately put down his pen, carefully adjusted the contact angle of the two spiritual energy wires, and then reconnected them. After the adjustment was completed, he took a breath and injected a trace of spiritual energy into the virtual connection device.
"Buzz--" A slight vibration sound was heard, and the indicator light on the device instantly lit up, flashing a soft light.
"Done!" Xiang Fan's face lit up with a satisfied smile, as if he had just solved a complex puzzle. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and picked up a new part, his eyes full of excitement. "The next step is to optimize the energy conduction module."
Xiang Fan's hut was devoid of expensive training equipment. His only virtual connection device was a "miracle" he'd cobbled together from a pile of scrap parts. Among those parts were discarded energy cores he'd scavenged, the remains of spiritual energy conduits, and a damaged spiritual pattern plate he'd obtained from who knows where. While others might consider these items trash, in Xiang Fan's hands, they became the key to the spiritual battlefield.
His pile of books contained not only theoretical texts borrowed from the Sutra Library, but also a host of lesser-known classics. For example, "The Basic Architecture of the Psionic Network" and "A Guide to Mechanical Spiritual Pattern Repair" were books that most people struggled with, labeling them "heavenly books." However, to Xiang Fan, they were like blueprints waiting to be pieced together, clearly organized and full of fun.
Opening a book called "Access and Maintenance of Psionic Networks," Xiang Fan's eyes quickly locked onto a description:
"When spiritual energy flow is blocked, the distribution of spiritual energy channels needs to be optimized. Three-point parallel connection or symmetrical guidance can be used to improve flow efficiency."
"Hmm... three points in parallel?" Xiang Fan muttered softly, casually picking up the Spiritual Mark Pen and beginning to make modifications to the spiritual core of the connecting device. His wrist was light and steady, and the Spiritual Mark Pen left smooth arcs on the metal plate, as if he were painting.
"If we use a three-point parallel structure, the stability of the spiritual energy flow should be improved..." He thought as he lowered his head to operate. After completing it, he reconnected the spiritual energy.
"Buzz——" This time, the energy flow became unusually smooth, and the operating efficiency of the virtual connection device was significantly improved.
Xiang Fan nodded with satisfaction, a gleam of self-satisfaction in his eyes. He stared at the device for a moment, a smile playing on his lips. He grabbed a book and muttered to himself, "This core module still has room for improvement. Perhaps we could try a layered aura guidance method..."
In Xiang Fan's life of "seas of books," cultivation wasn't the sole theme. In his dilapidated hut, he built his own technological empire from theoretical tomes. What others find tedious, in his hands, became a source of restoration and creation. He didn't possess powerful cultivation skills or abundant resources, but he possessed a mind willing to explore.
"Can't practice? Then fix the equipment. Can't defeat them? Then optimize the operation." Xiang Fan muttered to himself as he disassembled and assembled parts. "In a few days, it should run smoother than those luxurious virtual spiritual realm access devices."
Xiang Fan was so engrossed in his repairs that he completely lost track of time. His desk was piled high with his favorite "theory books," spread out on the surface like a group of military advisors awaiting command, emanating a strange allure. These books might seem cold and indifferent to others, but in Xiang Fan's eyes, they were "silent mentors" who could guide him through difficult situations.
He flipped open a book titled "Access and Maintenance of Psionic Networks" and quickly focused on a complex theoretical description:
"The spiritual energy-guided feedback loop is the key to achieving energy circulation. The spiritual pattern matching degree of the wire, the node contact angle, the balance of spiritual energy output, etc., will directly affect the operating efficiency of the equipment."
Xiang Fan frowned and muttered in a low voice: "The spiritual energy balance of the feedback loop... Can this idea be used to optimize the spiritual energy consumption of the connecting device?" He grabbed the spiritual pattern pen and quickly drew a new set of spiritual energy circuit design diagrams on his notebook. His movements were very fast, and it was obvious that he had deduced the theory in his mind.
After completing the design, he couldn't wait to adjust the device. The moment it started, a gentle humming sound was heard, and the energy circulation became incredibly smooth. The energy consumption data on the screen showed that it had dropped by nearly half.
