Chapter 24: Pursuit and Harassment

He glanced at the psychic energy bar on his helmet display, and his expression suddenly changed. He only had less than an hour of psychic energy left. He couldn't help but curse under his breath, "These guys are so idle... They made such a big fuss just to catch a basic mech player like me?"

Xiang Fan nimbly slid down the dune in his mecha, adjusting his position to the terrain while thinking rapidly, "I have to get rid of them. If I keep wasting my energy like this, my landing time will be running out! If I'm held back again and my helmet loses power, I'll be offline and embarrassed!"

The pursuers from behind gradually approached, and the encirclement shrank smaller and smaller. Yu Fengyang's Liuyun mecha took advantage of its speed and seized the front row. He shouted triumphantly, "Zero, stop wasting time and surrender! You can't escape!"

Xiang Fan resisted the urge to roll his eyes and maneuvered the Zero Mech into a nimble roll, easily avoiding Yu Fengyang's interception. He then disconnected the public channel, too lazy to listen to the endless provocations.

But the other pursuers weren't idle either. Chu Han's Wind Chaser mecha swooped in from the other side at astonishing speed, rapidly closing the gap. He sneered, "You're running pretty fast, but unfortunately, I'm even faster!"

Xiang Fan glanced out of the corner of his eye, judging Chu Han's encirclement trajectory. He decisively controlled the Zero Mech to leap up, using the sand dunes as cover to narrowly avoid a collision. He raised the corner of his mouth and muttered to himself, "You guys may look fast, but your brains aren't fast enough."

While his pursuers repositioned themselves, he quickly analyzed the situation. The Wind Chaser mech was fast, but its control was too linear. The Blazing Sun mech had powerful firepower but lacked flexibility. Lin Ze's Black Rock mech was stable, but too slow. Fang Yiran's stealth mech was even more troublesome, but if he could create chaos and force the enemy to reveal themselves...

"Hmm..." Xiang Fan's eyes gradually calmed down, and a playful smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. "If you insist on forcing me, then don't blame me for using you to practice the 'Liuyun Lianshao' I just learned."

At the control panel, his hand slid swiftly across the virtual interface. Data scrolled frantically on the screen, and the Zero Mech's engines hummed softly, preparing for a powerful counterattack. Xiang Fan's voice was low and calm: "Hold on for another half hour. My psychic energy can still hold out. How long can you hold out?"
