Inside the mecha classroom, the instructor stood at the center of the podium, the basic mecha quietly standing behind him. Its dark silver exterior shimmered, densely covered with patterns of flowing spiritual energy, creating a low-key yet powerful presence. The mecha's energy core radiated a faint glow, as if breathing, drawing everyone's attention.
"The core energy driving the basic mecha comes from the aura engine." The instructor gently tapped the circular device on the mecha's chest with his finger, his voice steady and powerful. "This part is its energy core and the heart of the entire mecha. Through the aura control panel, you can perform a series of basic movements, such as precise arm control, step adjustment, and basic weapon coordination."
The lecturer's words flowed into the classroom like a fine stream, evenly and rhythmically. Most of the students listened attentively, many of them bent their heads to take notes, trying to capture the core knowledge, afraid of missing any details.
Xiang Fan, sitting in the last row, stood out. He held a dry, white steamed bun in both hands and took a cautious bite, as if afraid to disturb anything. Though the bun was tasteless, he ate it with remarkable seriousness, even with a hint of satisfaction.
Whenever the lecturer mentioned "spiritual energy flow" or "power core," his eyes would flicker, revealing a brief moment of concentration, as if those words had touched a sensitive nerve. However, more often than not, he sat quietly in the corner, seemingly inconspicuous, like a background board that didn't fit in with the classroom atmosphere.
His calmness was in stark contrast to the lively discussions among the students in the front row of the classroom. Even the two fellow students next to him didn't notice his presence.
"Have you heard?" A disciple sitting next to him lowered his voice and excitedly said to his companion, "A mysterious mecha master, codenamed Zero Point, recently appeared in the Bronze Zone of the Spirit Mirror Battlefield!"
"Of course I heard about it!" Another disciple immediately chimed in, his eyes filled with disbelief. "That Zero Point, using a very basic mecha, instantly killed the number one Cang Qiong Jian Jia in the Bronze Zone!"
"The Sky Sword Armor! That's the top-level mecha in the Bronze Zone. The precision of its spiritual weapons is close to perfect, and the delay of the control panel is almost zero. Even in the Spirit Mirror battlefield, it has almost no rivals at the same level. It was actually killed by a basic mecha..." The first disciple suppressed the excitement in his tone, but his voice unconsciously rose a little.
"Yes, and it was an instant kill!" The second disciple slapped his thigh, unable to hide his shock. "It is said that Zero Point didn't even modify his mecha. He relied entirely on his skills to completely suppress the Sky Sword Armor! This is not something an ordinary person can do, right?"
The two of them became more and more excited as they spoke, and their voices gradually attracted the attention of the disciples around them. Many of them secretly glanced at them with a thoughtful look on their faces.
Xiang Fan, sitting nearby, raised his head when he heard the words "Spirit Mirror Battlefield," glancing curiously at the two. He had never heard of the name "Zero Point," and had no idea how their discussion related to him. He paused briefly, then lowered his head again, taking a bite of his steamed bun and chewing slowly. His gaze returned to the basic mecha on the podium, as if the conversation between the two had just passed by like a passing breeze.
The lecturer's voice continued to echo through the classroom. He manipulated the mecha's aura control panel, demonstrating a series of basic movements. The mecha's arms swung with precision, and the aura sword shone with a dazzling flash, seemingly carving a path of aura in the air. Xiang Fan's eyes lit up again, and his fingers involuntarily simulated the movement of buttons on his knees, as if trying to get a feel for the mecha's controls.
The dark silver mecha stood on the podium, silent yet powerful, as if demonstrating its potential to everyone. And within Xiang Fan's heart, a fire ignited faintly. He was unaware of the connection between himself and the "zero point" his fellow disciples were discussing. Instead, he stared silently ahead, filled with longing for the mecha world.
The noise of the classroom was out of tune with him, but he didn't care. In his world, there was only that mecha and the infinite possibilities it represented.
"Tell me, who exactly is Zero Point?" The first disciple lowered his voice, but his tone was filled with uncontrollable excitement. "With such powerful control skills, he is definitely not an ordinary person!"
"That's right!" The second disciple nodded seriously, his brows slightly furrowed, as if he was engaging in a profound imagination. "I think he might be a peerless genius from a hidden sect. This kind of control technique doesn't seem to be something that can be achieved at the Qi training level!"
"Yes, yes, yes! He must be the disciple of some hidden master who occasionally runs to the Spirit Mirror battlefield to practice and kills a bunch of noobs in seconds." The first disciple became more and more excited as he spoke, and his eyes seemed to flash with awe.
"He could also be a direct descendant of a super family!" The second disciple continued to imagine, his eyes lighting up. "He swept his opponents with a basic mecha. He must be playing the pig to eat the tiger, honing his skills!"
Their voices gradually grew louder, their tones filled with unconcealed excitement, as if the Zero Point they were describing had become a legendary event. Meanwhile, Xiang Fan, sitting next to them, seemed completely disconnected from the lively atmosphere. He licked the steamed bread crumbs from his fingers while staring intently at the basic mecha on the podium, his eyes filled with pure longing.
"What if Lingdian is truly a true disciple of a super-large sect?" the first disciple continued to speculate, his voice lowered slightly. "For example, a genius from our main sect? That makes sense!"
The second disciple nodded repeatedly, as if he was deeply attracted by this imagination. When he was about to continue to add, his eyes swept over Xiang Fan next to him. He saw that the latter was staring at the mecha in a trance, picking his nose with his fingers, and then casually wiping it on his pants. He couldn't help but let out a laugh.
