"Finally, it's quiet." Xiang Fan breathed a sigh of relief, a satisfied smile playing on his lips. He then called up the mecha control interface, expertly activated his basic mecha, and entered the virtual battlefield training ground. A flash of light flashed across the screen, and the mecha slowly started up in the training environment. Xiang Fan's world also fell silent.
At the same time, in a magnificent room, Ling Ruoxi's anger almost ignited the entire space.
"Bang!"
She angrily swept the teacup from the worktop to the floor, spilling tea and shattering porcelain. Her chest heaved violently, her face livid, and she looked like a sharp sword about to burst forth.
On the screen, the cold notification sounded like a slap in the face: "System prompt: Your message has been rejected at midnight."
"Rejected again!" Ling Ruoxi gritted her teeth, her voice filled with suppressed anger. Her hands clenched into fists, her nails digging deep into her palms. Her gaze was fixed on the words on the screen, practically burning a hole through it.
Ever since she was defeated by Zero Point in a basic mecha on the Spirit Realm battlefield, she had sent him at least twenty messages, unwilling to give up. From provocative statements to challenged battles, from inquiries about his identity to threatening challenges, she'd used every possible means. But all of these messages were returned or rejected.
"What is he pretending to be?" She gritted her teeth, her voice filled with undisguised anger. "He's clearly just a loser at the fourth level of Qi training, yet he dares to be so arrogant! It's really... infuriating!"
Her gaze shifted, and the leaderboard on the screen stung her eyes once again. "Zero Point" was prominently listed at the top of the Bronze Zone leaderboard in the Virtual Battlefield. The note next to it was incredibly prominent: "Basic Mecha Winning Streak Record - Hidden Identity."
"Playing mysterious, huh?" Ling Ruoxi stared at the screen intently, her teeth chattering. "Don't let me know who you are, or I'll make you pay!"
She waved her hand suddenly and turned off the screen. Her face was still ashen, her breathing was disordered, and the heaving of her chest had obviously not subsided yet.
At this moment, Xiang Fan was absorbed in his own world, oblivious to the turmoil outside. He controlled his basic mecha, constantly testing his spiritual energy transmission and movement coordination in the training ground.
"The velocity of my spiritual energy has indeed increased, and the coherence of my sword moves is also better..." He muttered to himself, his eyes fixed on the data displayed on the screen, his eyes filled with excitement. His fingers slid swiftly across the control panel, adjusting the parameters and skillfully performing a series of precise operations.
In his world, he was obsessed with every detail of the mecha, with areas for improvement. He was so absorbed in it that he was completely unaware that the name "Zero Point" had already caused a huge stir in the virtual battlefield.
"Try the sword moves I learned today..." He grinned, his eyes full of anticipation. He was completely unaware that not far away, countless people were speculating, discussing, and envying him. He was just quietly operating the mecha in his hands.
The basic mecha swung its sword, its spiritual energy flowing through it, leaving a faint trace of light. For Xiang Fan, this insignificant progress was immensely satisfying. He whispered, "Today's changes are finally bearing some fruit. Keep up the good work." His voice was soft, but it radiated persistence and resolve.
In that quiet training ground, his figure was lonely, yet also the most focused.
