The two arranged to have dinner around 7 p.m. After finishing his work, Qin Ziming tidied up the documents on his desk, then got up and left the office.
I ran into someone walking towards me from before the New Year.
"Special Assistant Nian, are you done with your work?"
"Vice President, it's all over."
Qin Ziming nodded slightly to him.
"Then go home after get off work, go home early to rest, and spend time with your family."
He thought he would take her to the appointment before the New Year, but he didn't expect him to ask him to leave work early and go home to be with his family. For a moment, he didn't know what he meant.
"Okay, thank you, Vice President. I'll go get ready now."
Qin Ziming chuckled softly.
"Um."
Qin Ziming took the private elevator to the parking garage, opened the car door, got in, and then started the car to drive to his destination.
Having arrived at his destination, he exited from the garage and went to the agreed-upon location.
In a dimly lit corner, Huo Zhengshu sat regally, leaning back in a soft chair, lost in thought.
As Qin Ziming approached, she looked at the man and lowered her head slightly.
"Mr. Huo."
Upon hearing his voice, Huo Zhengshu looked up and raised his hand in response.
"Vice President Qin, please have a seat."
Qin Ziming smiled at him.
"Thank you." He still didn't know why he had come to see him tonight.
Huo Zhengshu, who had already sat up, showed little emotion on his face.
"Vice President Qin doesn't usually go out much, does he?"
Qin Ziming, who was drinking a beverage, was taken aback.
"What makes you say that, Mr. Huo?" Doesn't he like going out? Doesn't he go to work every day?
Huo Zhengshu knew he had misunderstood.
I wasn't talking about work.
Qin Ziming was even more puzzled now.
"What is that?" Could he be referring to everyday life?
"You should have already guessed what I'm talking about. I haven't seen you interacting with anyone in your daily life."
Qin Ziming sneered.
"I don't really like socializing." When he's alone, he prefers to be by himself and enjoys spending time with his parents, wife, and children. He doesn't like interacting with outsiders all the time.
Huo Zhengshu rarely showed a smile.
"I understand. I also don't like messy social interactions that waste time and energy."
Huo Zhengshu felt that the two got along quite well, much better than those hypocritical and slick people.
"Correct answer."
Huo Zhengshu chuckled again.
"But we feel okay, and we can get together from time to time in the future."
Qin Ziming smiled, pursing his lips.
"Okay." He was willing to spend more time with Huo Zhengshu.
Huo Zhengshu picked up an ice-cold beer, poured two glasses, and handed one to the man opposite him.
"Have a drink."
The two men raised their glasses to each other, the ice-cold beer making their minds even clearer.
"It's still best to drink in moderation. Alcohol is harmful to your health, and ice-cold beer is even more harmful."
Huo Zhengshu paused as he was about to pour beer. Apart from his special assistant, few people cared about his health.
"It's nothing, I only drink occasionally."
Qin Ziming nodded gently.
The two spent several hours together, not talking about work, just chatting casually, but time really flew by. When Qin Ziming looked at his watch, he was surprised to find it was already nine o'clock.
Huo Zhengshu couldn't help but speak up when he saw his actions.
"Time flies, it's already nine o'clock."
"yes."
Huo Zhengshu looked up and joked.
"Is there a curfew?"
Qin Ziming knew he was joking, but she still answered seriously.
"No, besides, my wife isn't home." He'd be alone in his room if he went back.
When Huo Zhengshu saw that Huo Zhengshu's expression softened when he mentioned his wife, he couldn't help but admire the woman's charm.
"It's obvious you love her very much."
Qin Ziming sneered.
"She is as important to me as my life. I fell in love with her at first sight and developed feelings for her over time. Our relationship is like a gentle stream." This is not the typical lustful attraction a man might have for a woman.
Huo Zhengshu felt very comfortable with him and didn't need to guess what the other was thinking.
"Congratulations, you've found your soulmate." He may never meet her in this lifetime.
"Thanks."
As the two got up to leave, they brushed past Bie Lai, who was walking towards them.
I walked into the music bar and felt like I was missing something. I turned around and saw the backs of two men with powerful auras.
Strange, why does he feel a sense of familiarity with the man on his left?
The two parted ways and went their separate ways.
Having drunk some beer, Qin Ziming didn't drive himself, but instead called his bodyguard Chen Tinghai midway through the journey.
In the garage, Chen Tinghai was playing on his phone in the driver's seat. When he saw a familiar figure, he immediately ended the game, opened the car door, and stepped out.
"Boss."
Qin Ziming nodded slightly to him.
"Okay, let's go back."
The car sped away, sending dust particles flying into the air.
Throughout the journey, Qin Ziming remained calm. Looking out the car window, he seemed relaxed.
Chen Tinghai glanced briefly at the back seat before continuing to drive attentively.
Back at the old house, Qin Ziming went to the entrance to change his shoes. His mother, who was still awake, smiled broadly upon seeing her son return.
"Zimo, you're back. Have you eaten?"
Seeing her mother's gentle concern, Qin Ziming felt a warmth in her heart.
"Mom, I've eaten. Where are Dad and the others?"
Qin's mother chuckled softly.
“Your dad is upstairs, your aunt and Aunt Qu are telling the two kids stories, and your grandpa went to bed at nine o’clock. Oh, your older brother went upstairs early, and your uncle came back early today too. You're the last one to come back.”
Qin Ziming sneered.
"Mom, I have something to do."
