Inside the cracked mutant dog's skull, a glint of light flickered. In this critical moment, between life and death, Yu Kai couldn't care less about feeling sick. He reached in and pulled out the glowing object. He didn't even have time to examine it carefully; it felt warm and hard, and clutching it, he desperately ran towards the back door.
His heartbeat was like a drum, threatening to burst from his throat. His frantic run sent the surrounding shelves reeling. Yu Kai's breathing became rapid and erratic, with only one thought in his mind: escape!
The moment the back door opened, an overwhelming stench of decay washed over him. Countless mutant creatures pounced forward, their fangs bared and claws savage. Their hideous, twisted faces and razor-sharp claws were terrifying. Yu Kai's face instantly turned pale as paper. He quickly turned around and slammed the back door shut with all his strength.
At that moment, two bloodthirsty mutants were seen frantically fighting over the mutant dog he had strangled. The scene was a scene of utter bloodshed and brutality. The dog's head had been shattered, and a bead of light emanating white light fell out. Upon seeing this, the two men immediately abandoned the mutant dog and rushed towards the bead like hungry wolves. One of them moved even more swiftly, devouring the bead from the ground in one gulp. Instantly, his body expanded dramatically, his muscles bulging, and his aura emanating became even more terrifying. The other mutant, observing this, was instantly terrified and retreated rapidly.

Yu Kai rushed out like a wild horse, knocking down a bunch of mutants charging from the street. He then rushed to the opposite sewer pipe and desperately climbed up it. The mutants below roared and pounded the pipe with their claws and bodies, trying to pull Yu Kai down.
Yu Kai could only grit his teeth and continue to struggle upwards. "Boom!" The back door was violently blasted open by the newly evolved mutant. Huge in size and possessing incredible strength, he leaped high into the air, attempting to pull Yu Kai down. Yu Kai reacted quickly, lunging towards the air conditioner unit nearby. "Bang!" He fell heavily onto the unit, his body colliding with it with a dull thud. The nearby drainpipe was also shattered by the leaping mutant, sending a torrent of water gushing out.
Yu Kai ignored the excruciating pain in his body and scrambled to his feet. Looking at the layers of air conditioner units, he channeled his spiritual energy and leaped upward at high speed. Each leap was incredibly dangerous; the slightest mistake would have meant a fall.
The mutant roared, turned around and ran into the house, chasing up the stairs. The other mutant creatures also squeezed in like a tide, scrambling to follow him up.
Yu Kai had barely reached the rooftop, barely had time to catch his breath, when a pair of enormous, razor-sharp claws descended from the sky like lightning, accompanied by a sharp, wind-splitting sound. The giant bird from before was chasing him again, its sharp claws gleaming icy in the sunlight, a chilling effect. Yu Kai shuddered at the sight of these incredibly sharp claws, and beads of sweat streamed down his forehead.
At this critical moment, he swung the iron rod in his hand with all his strength, using all his strength to stop the giant bird for a moment. However, the giant bird's claws were extremely flexible and grabbed it tightly, and the iron rod was instantly bent and deformed in its claws.
Yu Kai seized the opportunity and leaped onto the roof of the building opposite. Without pausing, he turned and bolted downstairs. The giant bird, wailing furiously, pursued him relentlessly. With one swipe of its claws, it tore a massive hole through the roof, sending bricks and stones shattering and scattering, fragments raining down like rain.
Yu Kai looked back as he ran. The giant bird's shadow loomed over him like a nightmare. His breathing became increasingly rapid, and his steps stumbled slightly, but his intense desire to survive drove him to run desperately.
At that moment, two giant rats were frantically gnawing at a corpse up ahead. The bloody mess was disgusting. Seeing Yu Kai appear, they immediately dropped their food, their bloodshot eyes filled with ferocity, and pounced on him with bared teeth.
"Damn it! Are rats this fierce?" Yu Kai cursed, his eyes widening as he summoned his spiritual energy. The veins on his arms bulged, and with a fierce punch, he struck the rat's head. The powerful force erupted instantly, and the rat let out a shrill "Chichi!" and flew out like a cannonball, knocking down several small mutant creatures behind it.
At the same time, Yu Kai swiftly turned, easily dodging another rat's lunge. Quick-witted, he grasped the gliding rat's tail with one hand, wielding it like a giant whip. With a powerful swipe of his tail, he sent the mutant rat spinning rapidly through the air. Then, aiming at the pursuing mutant, he lashed it out. Screams and crashing sounds echoed, crushing a swarm of mutants and creating a chaotic scene.
Without stopping, he reached out and roughly snatched the light ball from the mutant rat's skull, then quickly ran downstairs. The mutant creatures below heard the commotion and looked up. Upon seeing Yu Kai, they immediately chased him with bared fangs and claws, their roars rising and falling, deafening.
Yu Kai bolted towards the nearby corridor, searching for a way out. The cheetah had also sensed his movements and gave chase. With a few bounds, its massive body leaped in front of Yu Kai, blocking his path. The cheetah opened its maw, baring its sharp fangs. Its bloodthirsty red eyes glared at him intently, its foul saliva oozing outwards, leaving a nauseating puddle on the ground.
The mutants behind him also gathered around him, forming an impenetrable circle. "What should I do?" He thought rapidly, beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, his eyes filled with reluctance and determination.
Then he steeled himself, "Damn it, I'm going to die anyway, so I might as well give it a try." He gritted his teeth, pulled out two mutant light beads from his pocket, and swallowed them without hesitation. "I'll mutate too, just to show you! I don't believe it's only useful to you!"
As the two light beads entered his body, Yu Kai felt a surge of immense power explode within him, his spiritual energy rapidly increasing like a flood. He felt waves of excruciating pain radiating through his meridians, but he gritted his teeth and persevered. He was overjoyed; it seemed his gamble had paid off.
He could clearly feel his strength rising steadily, his body threatening to burst from the overwhelming force. The air around him trembled slightly from the powerful aura emanating from him. He was pleasantly surprised to discover that he had already attained the strength of a martial artist.
Yu Kai slowly stood up straight, his eyes sweeping across the mutant creatures around him like lightning. There was no longer any trace of fear in his eyes, replaced by determination and confidence.
The mutant who was pursuing reacted the most, charging forward first with his fangs and claws bared. His face was twisted and hideous, and he let out an indistinct roar, his eyes filled with greed and a killing intent towards Yu Kai.
