Chapter 34 [Extra]

Chapter 34

The wedding day was a wonderful day. The weather was perfect, with clear skies and a gentle sun. Although the two had been engaged before and had gotten to know each other to some extent, they were still a little nervous on the day itself.

Yun Qi and Lu Yun separated three days before their wedding. Yun Qi went to live with Lu Yun's mother and the others, and they could only be together after the wedding.

This was their custom. At first, Yun Qi thought it was fun not to sleep with Lu Yun, as this was the first time he had slept alone in the past year or two. However, as the night grew deeper, Yun Qi began to feel uncomfortable. Without the familiar scent and embrace, Yun Qi found it increasingly difficult to fall asleep, tossing and turning in bed, unable to drift off.

He buried his head deep in the pillow. This room was still Lu Yun's room, but because it had been unoccupied for many years, the scent of Lu Yun had gradually dissipated, leaving only a faint smell.

Looking at the full moon outside the window, Yun Qi thought, "This is only the first night. There are still two days and two nights before I can meet Lu Yun. I must be patient!"

He took a deep breath, pulled the blanket over himself tightly, and savored the faint scent of Lu Yun within it.

There was a rustling sound outside the window, as if something was climbing the wall, followed by a few tapping sounds that came through the thick glass.

Hiding under the covers, Yun Qi's ears twitched. She gently pulled the covers down and peeked out.

Suddenly, a dark figure appeared outside the previously empty window, swaying from side to side. Yun Qi's eyes widened at just one glance. Wasn't that familiar human figure Lu Yun?!

Although Lu Yun's room was on the third floor, the height of the third floor should not be underestimated. Yun Qi hurriedly got out of bed and ran over. Only when she got closer could she see the figure outside the window. It was Lu Yun!

Yun Qi gasped, and shouted, "Move aside a bit! I'm opening the window!"

Lu Yun understood, nodded, and moved to the side. Yun Qi opened the window carefully, afraid of bumping Lu Yun and causing him to fall. If he fell, he might be paralyzed.

Yun Qi stepped aside, carefully took Lu Yun's hand, and frowned: "This is the third floor. You dare to come here? What if you fall?"

Lu Yun stopped, dusted himself off, and said with a grin, "I'm fine, aren't I? I missed you so much, Xiao Qi! I was going to die if I didn't see you for three days!"

Lu Yun pulled Yun Qi's hand and pressed it against his face, then hugged Yun Qi tightly, burying his head in Yun Qi's shoulder and greedily inhaling his scent.

Lu Yun came in from outside, bringing with him a chill, but he was full of yang energy and fiery temper. Within minutes of entering, his whole body began to warm up. Yun Qi felt very comfortable being warmed by him and leaned lazily against Lu Yun: "It's good that you're alright. What would I do if you had been crippled?"

Lu Yun kissed his cheeks, lips, and the corners of his eyes, her voice low and chuckling, "Even if I'm disabled, I can still feed your baby, don't worry."

Yun Qi blushed deeply at his words. Even though he had been with Lu Yun for a long time, he would still blush when Lu Yun said something.

The bed was a little cold because of Yun Qi's departure, but it quickly warmed up again because of Lu Yun's arrival. Yun Qi's eyes were half-closed as he was kissed, and a faint blush rose on his fair face. His voice was soft, like a feather, tickling Lu Yun's heart.

"People say you can't meet for three days before the wedding. You're breaking this rule. Aren't you afraid our marriage won't be happy?"

Lu Yun, like a puppy that has found a bone, nestled against Yun Qi's chest, nibbling and licking.

Hearing this, she looked up and licked the glistening tears from the corner of her mouth, saying, "No, I already went to the temples and Taoist monasteries this morning to pray. Xiao Qi and I will be very, very happy! We will not only be together in this life, but also in the next life, and the life after that!"

Yun Qi held his head, enjoying Lu Yun's service, and let out a satisfied hum from her throat.

Lu Yun smiled and said, "Besides, if I didn't come, wouldn't the baby go hungry for three days? I can't bear to see Xiao Qi go hungry."

Yun Qi had been spoiled by Lu Yun. He would feel hungry if he didn't eat for a day. He didn't deny Lu Yun's words. His eyes were watery and red. Lu Yun bit him and forced out a few tears: "Then you'd better hurry up. If Mom and Dad come up and see this, they will definitely scold you."

Lu Yun remained silent and began his actions.

Yun Qi didn't know when Lu Yun left. He could vaguely see the sky, which was just beginning to brighten. He was very full from being fed, his belly bulging out in a curve, and his whole body was enveloped by Lu Yun's aura.

Before leaving, Lu Yun even rubbed his stomach. Yun Qi was afraid that his parents would see this, so he urged Lu Yun to leave quickly.

Lu Yun kissed him several times reluctantly before leaving.

Yun Qi wanted Lu Yun to go back through the door, since his parents shouldn't be awake yet. But before he could speak, he saw Lu Yun decisively jump out of the third-floor window. This gave Yun Qi a real fright. Before he could get up to see what happened, Lu Yun called. Before Yun Qi could ask, Lu Yun said, "I'm fine, Xiao Qi. You should rest and get some sleep. I'm going home!"

Yun Qi couldn't speak, but slowly hummed in agreement. Hearing Lu Yun's strong voice, he believed that Lu Yun was alright. After all, Lu Yun was a human he had formed a pact with, and he wasn't that fragile.

After Lu Yun left, Yun Qi took another deep nap and didn't wake up until after 1 p.m. By then, his parents were already taking a nap. Fortunately, Lu Yun had fed him, so he didn't need to eat anything when he woke up at noon.

For the remaining two days, Lu Yun did not come over again. Yun Qi hugged the clothes that Lu Yun had left behind last night, biting on a corner of the clothes. They still had Lu Yun's scent on them, which was a good thing to comfort Yun Qi.

For the remaining two days, Yun Qi was able to fall asleep only because of Lu Yun's clothes.

Three days later was their wedding, and on the morning of the fourth day, they began intensive preparations.

The engagement was a grand affair, so the wedding couldn't be any less extravagant. To show their love, Lu Yun invited even more people online than he did for the engagement.

Yun Qi knew that Lu Yun would invite people, since he knew it when they got engaged, but he didn't expect that there would be even more people this time.

Since they were both men, there was no need for one of them to wait inside while the other walked in from the outside. After informing the emcee, they decided to walk in hand in hand from the outside.

Fortunately, there had been a prior engagement ceremony, which greatly reduced Yunqi and Luyun's nervousness.

As soon as the emcee finished speaking, the music started. Lu Yun and Yun Qi knew it was time for them to go in. They smiled at each other, clasped hands, and slowly walked in.

Soft lighting shone on the two men, and many people took out their phones to record the scene. The two handsome men, tall and long-legged with broad shoulders and narrow waists, wore matching suits that were instantly recognizable, and walked slowly by in the soft music and lighting.

The two approached the emcee, and the rings were taken up by Yun's father and Lu's mother and father, with each parent holding one ring.

The emcee read the vows aloud, and as the last solemn word fell, Yun Qi smiled and nodded: "I do."

Lu Yun tightened her grip on Yun Qi's hand, her smile growing even sweeter. The emcee asked Lu Yun the same question again, and Lu Yun's answer was naturally the same as Yun Qi's.

"I do."

The ring was slowly pushed into their fingers, binding them tightly together. Their hands were clasped together, and Yun Qi felt the burning heat of their bond on her wrists. Lu Yun naturally felt it too, his fingers rubbing against his wrists, bringing a slight itch.

Yun Qi and Lu Yun didn't have many family members, so they only needed to toast one table. The four parents took pity on the two of them, who had gotten up early to prepare for their wedding and the wedding itself, and also because the two of them hadn't seen each other for three whole days. They took pity on them and let them go, leaving the rest to them.

Yunqi and Luyun thanked the four parents politely and then left hand in hand.

The sun was shining brightly outside, its warmth making them feel cozy. Yun Qi and Lu Yun's wrists felt hot, their connection growing stronger. A pair of rings on their fingers symbolized their relationship.

The future is bright, and they, from this moment on, look forward to it.
