Chapter 148 Invite Andy Lau

As Lin Wangshu's belly grew bigger, she could no longer do many things and needed someone to take care of her.

They had looked for several nannies, but the results were truly disappointing.

When they learned that the family was looking for help, many people in the apartment building volunteered. They figured they were just sitting at home anyway, so why not earn some extra money?

However, some of these people are unhygienic; they don't wash their hands after using the toilet before going into the kitchen to cook.

Some thieves are dishonest, so Lin Wangshu has to go to great lengths to guard against them at home, and even then, it's impossible to completely prevent them.

Some of them were too nosy, acting like they were Lin Wangshu's mother-in-law. They were both surprised and dissatisfied to see her sitting on the sofa, ordering Jiang Weidong around like crazy.

While Jiang Weidong was out, she sternly reprimanded Lin Wangshu, "Little Lin, what kind of wife are you? You don't know how to care for your man at all."

“Even though you’re pregnant, you can’t make Weidong do everything. He’s very tired from training every day.”

"You should change it in the future, otherwise your mother-in-law will be unhappy with you if she finds out."

Hearing what she thought were well-intentioned words, Lin Wangshu was taken aback at first, and then found it somewhat amusing. "Auntie, you're neither my mother-in-law nor my biological mother, aren't you being a bit too nosy?"

"Never mind, here's your pay for the past few days. Don't come back again."

The aunt was surprised that she was being asked to leave and immediately became unwilling. "You can't say that. Xiao Jiang invited me. He didn't say he was going to ask me to leave."

Lin Wangshu sighed and put the money on the table. "He listens to me. You should leave now."

But the aunt was very stubborn and ignored her words, keeping her head down and mopping the floor while muttering something under her breath. She really didn't appreciate her kindness; she was just stating the old truth.

Seeing that she refused to leave, Lin Wangshu didn't argue with her, otherwise she would be the one who suffered if things got out of hand. So she simply watched TV leisurely and waited for Jiang Weidong to come home.

Seeing Lin Wangshu's carefree demeanor, the aunt felt uneasy. She didn't believe Jiang Weidong would kick her out, after all, she was on his side.

After a while, Lin Wangshu heard the sound of the door opening and knew that Jiang Weidong had returned. Looking at the freshly peeled orange in her hand, she couldn't help but smile mischievously.

"Honey, you're back! You must be tired. Have some oranges, I just peeled them."

Lin Wangshu, in a high-pitched, coquettish voice, cajoled Jiang Weidong, then offered him an orange, smiling sweetly.

Seeing this, the aunt nodded in satisfaction, feeling a little smug. She had been so arrogant just now, but now she still had to listen to her.

Jiang Weidong was flattered and quickly opened his mouth to take the orange segment from her fingertip. "Little Moon, what's wrong with you? I'm not used to you being like this."

The aunt behind her quickly chimed in, "I told her to be more diligent and to take better care of you!"

"Who told you to talk about her like that!" Jiang Weidong was furious at the self-righteous aunt. "I invited you here to cook, not to lecture people!"

Then, looking at Lin Wangshu, who was heavily pregnant, Jiang Weidong kissed her fingertips tenderly, "You listen to what she says, don't you? I like you being a little lazy, and your brother is happy to take care of you!"

Lin Wangshu chuckled, "I was just teasing you. I let her go as soon as she spoke, but she was waiting for the head of the family to give the order!"

Jiang Weidong smiled and said, "You are the head of our family, and I will listen to you."

Seeing this, the aunt behind him felt uneasy. "Xiao Jiang, I'm doing this for your own good. I see you're too tired, and I feel sorry for you on your mother's behalf."

Jiang Weidong didn't want to talk to her anymore. He carefully helped Lin Wangshu sit down, glanced at the money on the table, and said, "Auntie, we agreed before that you can fire me at any time if you're not satisfied. You can take this money and leave."

The auntie was really panicked now. She didn't want to leave. Her monthly wages were more than her daughter-in-law's monthly salary.

She was truly unwilling to leave like that.

Seeing that she was about to say something, Jiang Weidong opened the door directly. "Auntie, I'm still holding my temper and don't want to say anything unpleasant. You should leave now."

After everyone finally left, Jiang Weidong put his arm around Lin Wangshu's shoulder and sighed, "Why is it so hard to find a suitable nanny?"

"Why don't we call home and ask Mom or Aunt to come and help?"

"Okay." Lin Wangshu thought for a moment and agreed.

When Anjie hung up the phone and learned that Lin Wangshu was currently without anyone to take care of her, he was extremely anxious and wished he could take a boat there right now.

Just then, Jiang Defu returned from outside, hands behind his back, looking furious.

"What's wrong with you? Who upset you again?" Anjie asked helplessly when she saw that he was angry again.

"It's all because of Old Ding's good sons. Those bastards are trying to send over another baby who hasn't been weaned yet. They're going to work Dehua to death!"

"What?" Anjie couldn't believe it either. "They're sending three more children. Can Dehua take care of them all?"

Jiang Defu snorted after hearing this, "That's right, that bastard Lao Ding, he doesn't care about my sister at all."

“And Dehua too.” Jiang Defu said with exasperation, “I was even thinking of speaking up for her, but she herself is quite happy about it.”

An Jie thought for a moment and said, "She's just feeling sorry for Lao Ding. How about this, let Dehua go to Qingdao and visit Wei Dong and Wang Shu's family."

"Her own nephews and nieces asked her for help, so she couldn't possibly refuse."

“Okay!” Jiang Defu nodded. “That way, Dehua can relax a bit too.”

As expected, when Dehua heard that Wangshu wanted her to go to Qingdao to take care of her, Dehua immediately nodded happily, "I'll go, I'll go to Qingdao. This is the first grandchild of our Jiang family, of course I have to go."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Defu glanced at her sideways and asked, "Would Old Ding be willing?"

Dehua was very firm: "He has no choice but to agree, whether he wants to or not. It's not up to him."

But in reality, she was just putting on a brave front; before leaving, she still dragged Jiang Defu and An Jie along to bolster her courage.

Upon hearing this, Old Ding immediately glared at him, "If you leave, it's fine for the kids, but what am I going to eat!"

"Oh, so you're not worried about the child, you're only worried about yourself." Jiang Defu had seen through him.

Old Ding said matter-of-factly, "Otherwise what? These kids cry in my ear every day, I'm fed up with it."

After hearing this, An Jie waved her hand generously and said, "That's easy. Dehua is gone, so you can eat with us."

Old Ding had no objections then, so the four of them discussed how to fool Da Yang and Er Yang.

After discussing it amongst themselves, the group finally decided to say that Dehua had broken his arm and could no longer take care of the child, and to let them take him away.

To his surprise, when he made the call, he received complaints from both of them. One said, "Why did you break your arm at this time?" and the other said, "Takwa should hang in there, we can't spare the time."

Old Ding was furious and shouted into the microphone, "You brat, you have no compassion for the elderly! Take your son away right now, and don't send him here again!"
