Shen Yizhou walked ahead and swiped his room card to open the door.
He Tiantian sat on the bed, finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. She was on the verge of a mental breakdown because of what had happened today.
She wanted to take a shower, but she was also a little scared.
"Go to sleep. Aren't you sleepy? You can take a shower tomorrow," Shen Yizhou said to He Tiantian.
"Can you sleep with me? I'm a little scared." He Tiantian looked at Shen Yizhou with pleading eyes.
"Okay, you change your clothes first, I'm going to the balcony for a smoke." After saying that, Shen Yizhou opened the balcony door and went out, even drawing the curtains behind him.
He Tiantian quickly changed into her pajamas and lay on the bed staring at the ceiling.
Then, a strange sound came from upstairs again, a thumping sound, like someone was tap dancing upstairs.
Shen Yizhou walked in, closed the door, and drew the curtains.
He walked to the bedside, sat down, picked up the landline, and called the front desk.
"I'm a tenant in room 1208. It's very noisy upstairs. Go and deal with it." Shen Yizhou hung up after saying that.
He Tiantian lay beside Shen Yizhou, listening to him speak.
Shen Yizhou turned off the light, lifted the covers, and lay down.
He Tiantian stared at the ceiling with her eyes open, and sure enough, there was no sound now.
She tried to fall asleep with her eyes closed for a long time, but couldn't. She sat up; it was already slightly bright outside, but she was still awake.
Her mind was filled with thoughts of Tian Leyu; how should she investigate tomorrow?
Shen Yizhou couldn't sleep either. He looked at He Tiantian, who had sat up, and asked, "Can't you sleep?"
He Tiantian turned on the bedside lamp.
"Zhouzhou, how are we going to investigate the case tomorrow?" He Tiantian asked, lying on her pillow.
“Tomorrow we’ll go check on the room where the accident happened,” Shen Yizhou replied.
"But we don't know the room number!" He Tiantian said with some distress.
“In room 1306,” Shen Yizhou said abruptly.
He Tiantian looked at Shen Yizhou in shock and asked, "How did you know!?"
“I reviewed this case before I came, you idiot,” Shen Yizhou said.
"Wow! Zhouzhou, you're so smart! I'm so lucky to have you!" He Tiantian excitedly grabbed Shen Yizhou's arm.
Thank you, system, for assigning me a teammate with an extremely high IQ!
He Tiantian could finally sleep peacefully, unaware that she was still holding onto Shen Yizhou's arm.
Shen Yizhou looked at He Tiantian, who was holding his arm, and saw that she had fallen asleep. He didn't pull his hand away; he just let her sleep like that.
He fell asleep soon after.
