Chapter 610: Ghost 2 (1/2)

After just a few punches, Lin Zhou begged for mercy repeatedly, and even put the blame on Fang Zhiyi, who had nothing to do with it.

"He said, 'My friend said, 'You guys are all illegal,' and told me not to pay it back! He also said, 'You guys are not good people,' and told me not to see you anymore, so I'm hiding... It was Fang Zhiyi who taught me that."

Looking at the coward in front of them, the gangsters were both angry and amused, and asked Lin Zhou to take them home to get the money.

How could Lin Zhou dare to do that? He could already imagine being beaten to death by his father!

So when he arrived at the door, he suddenly knocked on Fang Zhiyi's door. Fang Zhiyi opened the door confused and looked at Lin Zhou in front of him. Before he could say anything, Lin Zhou rushed in.

"Zhiyi, save me!"

Fang Zhiyi was startled by the gang of thugs filing in: "What are you doing?"

The thug looked him up and down: "This guy owes us money, are you his family?"

Fang Zhiyi wanted to speak, but felt Lin Zhou pulling at his clothes from behind.

"Yes, didn't he pay some back?"

"Return? What? Not a single cent!" the thug said impatiently, "If you have money, take it out quickly. Otherwise, don't blame us for being rude!"

Fang Zhiyi turned around and looked at Lin Zhou in surprise. He didn't expect that after he gave him the money, he didn't even return any of it!

"By the way, what did you call him just now?" a gangster with colorful hair suddenly asked.

Lin Zhou immediately replied, "He's my friend, Fang Zhiyi."

"Come here, kid!" Wucaitou seemed to hold a grudge and punched Fang Zhiyi. Fang Zhiyi was almost out of breath after being beaten.

"We're not good people? Are you the only one who's good?" Another thug looked around and suddenly saw a gold-plated figurine. "If you don't have the money to pay back, you can use something else as collateral."

Seeing that he was about to take action, Fang Zhiyi didn't care about anything else and pounced on him: "Put it down, that's my dad!"

The thug was pushed and fell flat on the coffee table. He stood up and was extremely angry: "It's fine if you scold us, but you still hit me when you don't pay me back! I was acting in self-defense! Hit me!"

Fang Zhiyi was almost pinned down and beaten by several people, while Lin Zhou huddled in the corner, trembling, avoiding Fang Zhiyi's pleading gaze.

Now if he just rushed out and shouted for help, Fang Zhiyi would be saved, but Lin Zhou just kept muttering, "It's none of my business, it's none of my business, I didn't mean it..."

The thugs left because Fang Zhiyi fainted. They were afraid of getting into trouble, so they warned Lin Zhou and ran away.

After Lin Zhou was stunned for a while, he went straight home.

When Fang Zhiyi woke up again, he was lying on a hospital bed. His mother sat beside the bed, her eyes red, clutching a medical report, hesitant to speak. It wasn't until Fang Zhiyi pressed her, however, that her mother choked back tears and said, "Zhiyi, the man who hit you has been arrested, but... the doctor said your lumbar spine is severely damaged, and you may... never be able to stand up again."
