Chapter 7: A Shrew

I knew Aunt Jun must have agreed to investigate this matter for my sake, going to a place like a bar.

When I was a waitress, I saw Aunt Jun being scolded by customers. I couldn’t even imagine what that would be like for customers in that kind of place.

When I think about Aunt Jun being wronged, my heart feels like it's being pricked by needles.

Not to mention that the guests there might touch Aunt Jun inappropriately.

"Where did you get so much money?"

I told Aunt Jun about the cheat, but she obviously didn't understand much.

She smiled and shook her head: "How many people can spend money on something that can't be seen or touched? This will definitely not last long. You can make a fortune, so keep it!"

Aunt Jun is a very frugal person. She would compare prices from three different stores before buying a cabbage. She doesn't understand the thoughts of those players at all.

I tried my best to explain to her, but Aunt Jun wouldn't listen at all.

"Alright, Zheng Yang! Leave the money-making to Aunt Jun, and you just need to study hard."

"When you have a promising future, find a proper job, and Aunt Jun will wait for you to enjoy the good life. It's getting late, you should go to bed."

This little over 4,000 yuan will definitely not change Aunt Jun's mind, but I won't give up. When I have 40,000 or even 400,000 yuan, Aunt Jun will definitely understand.

I must let Aunt Jun see my results.

But I will not forget the important matter - the college entrance examination.

I lived a very quiet life in the next few days. Except for Wang Li looking at me with resentment, as if he was holding back something bad, Xu Yiting was completely honest.

I originally composited that photo just to sow discord between Xiong Lao San and Hei Pi.

Unexpectedly, Hei Pi and Xu Yiting's mother were really having an affair, and it was discovered that they had slept together several times.

Xiong Laosan was so angry that he beat Hei Pi and Xu Yiting's mother into the hospital.

After Aunt Jun told me this news, I felt less guilty, which was a blessing in disguise.

But Aunt Jun gave me a lecture, saying that I was still too old-fashioned and that I should hit people if they provoked me.

Xu Yiting's mother and Hei Pi have both bullied me. Not to mention forging photos, it wouldn't be too much to even put them on the bed and show them to Xiong Lao San.

When you walk in this world, you have to be ruthless.

Don't hurt others actively. If someone bullies you, you have to fight back, otherwise they will just shit on your head.

Every day after school I would take time out to run to the Rose Bar. Seeing Aunt Jun smiling at the customers, I became even more anxious to make money.

Two days before the college entrance examination, Aunt Jun took a leave of absence to accompany me at home to prepare for the exam. In addition to making delicious food for me in various ways, she even hid and spoke in a low voice when she called me.

I thought Aunt Jun was afraid of affecting me, so I didn’t think much about it until the college entrance examination was over.

After coming out of the examination room, everyone was quacking like ducks out of a cage, either planning graduation parties or discussing field trips.

But I stood at the entrance of the examination room for a long time and didn't see Aunt Jun, who was clearly there before the exam.

"Zheng Yang!" Aunt Jun came running over, sweating profusely, holding two bottles of drinks:

"Have you finished all the exams?"

I thought Aunt Jun was delayed because she was buying drinks, but the look on her face was clearly not right.

"Aunt Jun! What happened?"

"What's the matter? Stop overthinking it. How did you do on the exam?"

Something's wrong! Growing up, Aunt Jun never asked me how I did on the exams, because it was never something Aunt Jun had to worry about.

Obviously changing the subject.

"Aunt Jun! The exam is over, there's nothing to worry about affecting my mood. Tell me, what happened?"

"No..." Before Aunt Jun could finish her words, a middle-aged woman walked over.

"How did you find this place?"

The middle-aged woman ignored Aunt Jun and came straight to me, looking at my face:

"Like! Tsk tsk! They're exactly like each other. You must be Zheng Yang, right? I'm your aunt."

"who?"

I turned to look at Aunt Jun, who was rubbing her temples with a worried look on her face.

I went up and pulled "my aunt" aside:

"What's wrong with you? Didn't you say you wouldn't disturb Zheng Yang? Do you still have any credibility?"

"Chu girl! How can you say that? We thank you for raising Zheng Yang, but you can't stop Zheng Yang from recognizing his relatives, right?"

"You!" Aunt Jun was so angry that she was speechless. My "aunt" came close to me again:

"Your mother's name is Zheng Yi, right?"

My aunt also took out a photo. It was a family portrait, and my mother was indeed in it.

"This is your uncle, my man."

She was referring to the person next to my mother.

But my aunt didn't notice that I wasn't even looking: "Just tell me! What do you want from me?"

When I was a child, I went back home, my mother holding me in her arms, on a snowy day.

But my grandparents didn't let my mother and I in at all.

My mother held me and stood outside the door for more than an hour. Finally, she left because she was afraid that I would be frozen.

From then on, my mother told me that no matter who was in my grandfather's family, they were not my relatives.

They were so ruthless and now they suddenly come to me. I doubt their motives.

"He's old! He just misses his children. Your grandpa misses you, so he wants me to take you back to see him. Look at how tall and handsome Zheng Yang is. I'm sure your grandpa will be happy to see you."

"Don't listen to her..."

"Aunt Jun!" I interrupted her: "Aunt! Is my grandpa short of money?"

Aunt Jun was obviously relieved.

She doesn't know how well I know my mother's relatives.

"This kid! Your grandpa is in the hospital, isn't that why we asked you to go see him? Of course, you are your grandpa's grandson after all, so you should show some respect to him."

Finally telling the truth.

"My dear grandson? My mother sent me to my grandfather shortly after giving birth to me, and you didn't even open the door. Wasn't I my dear grandson at that time?"

My words choked my aunt. She had already walked in, and she didn't know if she would be the only one who would let my mother go back.

"At that time, my mother couldn't work and her milk supply was poor, so she needed our family. Did you ever help us at all? Did my grandfather treat me as his own at that time?"

"Now that you know that I should show my filial respect, go ask my grandfather if he is worthy of my filial respect."

My aunt's face turned pale and red, and I thought she was too embarrassed to stay, but she pinched her waist and said:

"Zheng Yang! Now that we've come to this, I won't argue with you. Your grandfather is sick this time, and he'll need tens of thousands of dollars to pay for it."

"Your grandpa didn't just give birth to your uncle, so you have to pay for your mother's share."

Haha! And he's still relying on it. This shameless attitude has completely changed my worldview.

"Do you still have any shame?"

Aunt Jun was so angry that she was about to hit me, so I held her back:

"Okay? Then if my grandfather gets sick and I take the money, if he unfortunately passes away to heaven, will I get a share of the inheritance?"

"You wish! Now that old people die, their property is left to their sons."

I finally realized that my aunt is an unreasonable shrew.

"Oh! You thought of me when you paid, and you still take advantage of the situation. Are you stupid or am I? You are so shameless."

"Hey? How can you talk like that, you little bastard? I'm telling you, if you don't take this money today, don't say I'm ruining you."
