Gu Nian is a doctoral student. Her nephew is writing an online novel. Because she has excellent grades and is always the "model child," her brother and sister-in-law often talk about her to her nephew. As a result, her nephew has been annoyed by her since he was a child and named the wicked older sister of the unlucky female protagonist in his book after her.
The female protagonist in the book written by his nephew had a life full of hardships, just like the male protagonist. In the end, the male protagonist went through many trials and tribulations to achieve a high position, but the female protagonist died halfway through the story.
Later, in order to show the male lead's devotion and ambition, many female supporting characters were introduced, but only the female lead was the only one in the male lead's heart. The male lead had countless concubines, but no legal wife. His legal wife only had a memorial tablet with the female lead's name on it.
Because her nephew got good grades on that book, her sister-in-law recommended it to her.
So, during her holiday, she spent three days trying to finish the book but still couldn't finish it. She only knew the female lead's ending, not the male lead's. Then, she woke up to find herself in the book as Gu Nian.
She cursed her nephew viciously in her heart.
However, she had some doubts.
The book describes a scene where someone comes to collect gambling debts at the house.
However, what happened later was different from what was written in the book.
In the book, no one opened the door for the people who came to collect gambling debts. The door was broken down, and the Gu family of four were lying in the main room.
The debt collectors were so frightened that they quickly went to call for help.
The grandparents from the old house came over, called a doctor, and saved the family of four.
Gu Shouxin originally bought the medicine to kill his entire family.
Later, she was saved, but when Gu Shouxin went into debt again, Gu Xin was secretly sold. By the time the elders in the old house found out, it was too late to get the female lead back.
The old house owners want to sever ties with Gu Shouxin.
Gu Shouxin stole a gold hairpin, one of Cai Xiaolian's last dowry items, and then ran away.
Cai Xiaolian and Gu Nian depended on each other for survival.
Later, Gu Nian's embroidery skills caught the eye of the embroidery shop owner, who took her to Jiangnan.
Back in Jiangnan, Gu Nian recognized her younger sister who had been sold. However, instead of acknowledging her, she saw that Gu Xin was loved and living a good life, and tried every means to harm Gu Xin.
In the end, Gu Xin's death was still somewhat related to Gu Nian.
Gu Nian was so certain that she was in the book because the place name they mentioned earlier was exactly the same as her hometown.
The book doesn't describe the female protagonist's other family members much, but the incident of collecting gambling debts was a prelude to her being sold, so Gu Nian remembers it very clearly, even how much money it was.
So what exactly happened this afternoon?
Could it be that she didn't transmigrate into the novel written by her nephew, but into another novel, or was it just a regular transmigration?
Apart from the female lead, Gu Xin, these parents don't seem like the characters described in the book at all!
Gu Nian got lost in thought, and Gu Shouxin and Cai Xiaolian didn't say much, just watched her.
Gu Xin was quiet for a while, then nudged Gu Nian: "Sister, do you have a headache? Do you want to go back to your room and rest? I'll bring you some food."
Gu Nian snapped out of her daze and forced herself to remain calm: "No, no need. Xin Xin, you sit down and eat too! I haven't been out to sit for days, and lying in the house for too long isn't comfortable."
"Okay, sister!"
Gu Xin was very happy; her sister really wasn't like she used to be.
The little voice in her heart danced wildly; her father had changed, her mother had changed, and her sister had changed too.
Oh God! Xin Xin begs you, if this is a dream, please let me dream a little longer, don't let me wake up!
