Yan Shuang raised her head suddenly when she heard the words, her heart almost stopped beating, her expression was stunned, and her eyes were fixed on the speaker.

He still stood casually in the crowd, calmly accepting everyone's gaze.

The man standing before him had saved him once again. Whether it was a coincidence or deliberate, Yan Shuang finally saw through the other person's intentions.

Yan Shuang understood, and Jing Ning naturally understood too. The tacit understanding between them made them both choose silence, and no one lifted the veil that was so fragile that it could be broken at any moment.

Everyone else looked very surprised. No one had expected that Jing Ning would run to the 24th floor and knock on the door late at night.

"No wonder, so that's how it is." Ye Jing'an suddenly realized.

Just three short words give a reasonable explanation for everything.

"What do you mean?" Lin Haichen asked the question on behalf of everyone present.

Ye Jing'an came back to his senses, unsure about what to do, and looked at Jing Ning to seek his consent.

"Why are you looking at him? You have a mouth." Yan Shuang was touched, but he wanted to know what happened last night, so he spoke anxiously. Jing Ning going upstairs alone must have had consequences, otherwise Ye Jing'an wouldn't have said that subconsciously the moment they met that morning.

"You completely betrayed us in just a few days. What about our relationship?" Yan Shuang said.

Zhou Xia still said stubbornly: "Again, how do you prove it?"

Ye Jing'an was beginning to get annoyed with Zhou Xia. Without waiting for Jing Ning's reply, he thought for a moment and decided that his brother needed to know. To prove his loyalty, he said, "Last night when we went up to deal with Weiwei and Paopao's bodies, Da..."

He paused for a moment and changed his address. "Jingning suddenly said he had something to do and left for a while, leaving me alone to guard two bodies. I didn't know what he was doing at the time, but now it's obvious that he went to your place."

After nightfall, only family members can go upstairs. This explanation is reasonable, as only Jingning was brave enough to try to go to other floors.

"About ten minutes later, when he came back, there were already red marks on his face. They were very light at the time, and I thought I was dizzy from seeing too much blood." Ye Jingan recalled the scene of last night. "By the time dawn came, the marks had become darker."

Zhou Xia touched his nose as if nothing had happened, closed his mouth and successfully became invisible.

"The red marks again!" Xu Yaoyu said, "First, we don't want the hospital staff to get suspicious, and then we have to break the rules of the game. How can we get out?"

Yan Shuang had almost forgotten that Ye Jing'an could see his health bar, and was now completely stunned by the red marks appearing on Jing Ning's body. He tried not to think about the consequences, but it was already a fact.

His eyes lingered on the other person's delicate features for a moment, and the most infuriating thing was that he couldn't see!

"Where?" He asked without even noticing that his voice was trembling.

Yan Shuang stared at Jing Ning in front of her, trying to find some clues on his face.

They stared at each other in silence for a while. Just as Yan Shuang continued to ask, Jing Ning spoke, "On the forehead."

Yan Shuang was stunned for a moment. The former's death was still vivid in his mind. He would rather everyone was lying to him than let Jing Ning become like them. Yan Shuang took a few deep breaths. "How big is it?"

There was another silence.

"Shuang'er, she has appeared. Now we have to find a way to get out as soon as possible." Ye Jing'an said anxiously.

"I asked you how big the red mark is?" Yan Shuang felt that his whole body was shaking, and only his clenched fists managed to keep him steady.

Jing Ning silently grasped Yan Shuang's clenched fist, then leaned forward slightly and placed his hand on his forehead. An unprecedentedly gentle voice rang in his ears, "It's not that big here, and it hasn't spread yet. You can see that the touch is no different."

Yan Shuang's fingers carefully touched Jing Ning's skin, fearing that the red mark would grow a little longer if he was not careful. His fingers left a faint touch on his skin.

Then he turned his head to look at Ye Jing'an, asking him with his eyes if it was true. He didn't want Jing Ning to hide the truth just to coax him. He didn't need that.

Ye Jing'an received Yan Shuang's signal and nodded excitedly, "It hasn't spread, really." He gestured with his hands, "It's only this big."

Only after Yan Shuang confirmed it did Jing Ning release his hand. He regained his composure and raised his voice to explain, "As for why I knocked on the door last night, it was just a try. Since I could follow Ye Jing'an down to the basement floor, I thought I should be able to go up to other floors as well. So, while they were dealing with the body, I avoided the hospital nurses and went to the elevator, and I found that my guess was correct."

"The elevator arrived at the 24th floor smoothly. I also noticed that unlike the 18th floor, there wasn't a single hospital staff member in the corridor on the 24th floor. Something must be wrong, so I tried knocking on Yan Shuang's door."

"And about the red marks." Jing Ning sorted out his thoughts, "They appeared during the time I was away. I think that's why I knocked on the door."

Although everyone cannot see the red marks and they don’t know what the red marks look like, they know that the marks have the power to kill people.

After saying this, Jing Ning did not show any sign of regret. Yan Shuang survived, and he still had time.

"As we get further along, the difficulty will only increase, and there will be more restrictions. This is inevitable." Lin Haichen said, "We still have time."

"Yes, we still have time." Yan Shuang thought, "We must have missed some clues."

Zhou Xia snorted coldly, staring at them with a half-smile. It was easy to tell from his eyes that these old members were just like that.

Ye Jingan didn't tolerate it either, and opened his mouth to throw out another explosive message, "Do you think you don't have it on your face?"

Now it was Zhou Xia's turn to be confused. His expression instantly became a little awkward. He suppressed his anger and a cold smile appeared on his face. "This is meaningless. Is it useful to scare others like this?"

"I'm just telling the truth." Ye Jing'an shrugged. "All of you in the ward have them, except Yan Shuang."

Zhou Xia looked at Ye Jing'an who didn't seem to be lying, and his eyes widened in disbelief. He was sure that no one had entered the room last night, so how could this happen?

The kid fell to the ground with a thud. He thought that as long as he followed the rules, everything would be fine. Of the four people who came with him, he was the only one left and he still couldn't escape.

One piece of major news after another early in the morning caught everyone off guard.

Yan Shuang was at a loss. He was even afraid of Ye Jing'an speaking.

"I think we can consider this from another perspective. The traces can be understood as reminders." Jing Ning stepped forward. "Of course, he and the patient also have an inseparable relationship."
