She felt herself suffocating from being bound by the talisman, and silently recited a calming incantation. Suddenly, she awoke with a start, drenched in a cold sweat!
She reached out and removed the white blanket that had somehow been placed over her head. Touching her face, she found no talisman; it really had just been a dream. She lay back down to calm herself, then turned to see Zhu Jiayin fast asleep with her back to her.
Li Zhi got out of bed and walked to Zhu Jiayin's side. Hearing that Zhu Jiayin's breathing was steady, he turned around and left the room.
It was only a little past four o'clock, and she had only slept for a little over an hour when she had such a terrible nightmare. Actually, she rarely has nightmares. The first time she had a nightmare was when she dreamed of her master, and this was the second time.
It seems this ghost is quite fierce; perhaps this is a warning to her. She sat quietly on a bench in the hospital corridor.
The stool was plastic and felt cool to the touch, which cleared her mind considerably. Could there be something wrong with this Zhu Jiayin? But there wasn't a trace of evil about her. What was going on?
She felt a fog surrounding her, making it difficult for her to understand anything. After sitting quietly for a while, she felt sleepy again and lay back down on the hospital bed, falling asleep once more.
The next day, Li Zhiyi was still fast asleep when the cleaning lady woke him up. He noticed that Zhu Jiayin was not on the hospital bed next to him. Where could she have gone so early in the morning? Just as he was about to call her, he saw Zhu Jiayin return with breakfast.
"Sister, you're awake. This is breakfast I bought downstairs. Let's eat it while it's hot."
"Thank you for the good news."
The two had a simple meal in the ward. Zhu Jiayin felt much better and was no longer cold or scared, so she went through the discharge procedures.
"Sister, where are we going now?" Zhu Jiayin asked, blinking her innocent big eyes.
"You go back to school first, I want to go home first."
Li Zhiyi was careful and didn't tell Zhu Jiayin that she was going to check out the haunted building with Jiang Yu today, because she decided that she and Jiang Yu would go secretly this time and didn't want to attract too much attention.
Zhu Jiayin's eyes lit up, and she said happily, "Sister, I want to come to your house to play, okay? I'm so bored by myself, you know, my best friend is dead."
Li Zhiyi didn't want Zhu Jiayin to go because it wasn't her own home; she was just staying at someone else's house, which was inconvenient.
"I'm sorry, Jiayin, it's not very convenient at my home."
Zhu Jiayin's expression changed slightly, but she quickly regained her innocent look and said, "It's okay, sister. I'll come to your house to play whenever it's convenient for me."
Li Zhiyi turned and left, while Zhu Jiayin remained where she was, watching his retreating figure, a ruthless glint flashing in her eyes.
She never fails to get what she wants!
Li Zhiyi hadn't returned home all night, and her phone was already switched off because she'd forgotten to charge it. She was worried about her grandfather, so she decided to go back to the Gu family home to let her grandfather know she was safe.
In the Gu family hall, Grandpa Gu was indeed instructing eight bodyguards hidden in the shadows to search for someone when Butler Wu rushed in from outside, excitedly announcing, "Grandpa Gu, Miss Li is back!"
Grandpa Gu waved to the bodyguards, and they all withdrew.
He worried all night, thinking something had happened to her. He tried calling her, but her phone was always off. He called his precious grandson, but Gu Siye was drunk and wouldn't let him take care of her. He was so angry that he didn't sleep well last night.
"Grandpa, I'm back."
"Girl, I'm so glad you're alright. You scared me to death! I thought something had happened to you. Why was your phone always off, girl?"
"Grandpa, I'm sorry, my phone died, and I didn't remember your number. It's in my phone, and I forgot to let you know I'm safe. I won't do it again." Li Zhiyi also felt embarrassed. This Grandpa Gu was so concerned about his safety, but he had forgotten to let him know he was safe.
"It's okay, just don't turn off your phone when you go out in the future. I was so worried I almost called the police." Although Kyoto is indeed prosperous, it is still very dark in the shadows, especially for a girl who is all alone and so beautiful. She is easily targeted by bad people.
"Okay, Grandpa, have you had breakfast yet?"
"Not yet, have you eaten, little girl?"
Finally, the grandfather and grandson ate together and chatted for a while. Li Zhiyi saw that Grandpa Gu was a little sleepy. He learned that Grandpa Gu hadn't slept well all night because he was worried about him. He felt guilty and touched and said, "Grandpa, go and get some sleep. I'll go upstairs and rest for a while too. I have an appointment with a friend to go out with later."
"Good child, go ahead, Grandpa is going to take a nap."
Li Zhi went upstairs, quickly took a shower, changed into a clean dress, and picked up a hairdryer to dry her hair. Gu Nianzhi had taught her how to use the hairdryer, and it was really effective for someone like her with waist-length hair.
She was drying her hair, thinking that she would take a nap and leave the Gu family around noon. Perhaps the sound of the hairdryer was too loud, completely masking the fact that someone had opened her bedroom door.
She turned off the hairdryer, walked out of the bathroom, and sensed someone else's presence in the room. She turned around and saw it was Young Master Gu. Looking at his murderous gaze, she didn't understand what he meant.
"What's wrong, Young Master Gu? Why are you looking at me like that?"
She was really confused. This young master Gu was acting strangely yesterday. First, he spoke to her in a bad tone, and then he left inexplicably. She had no idea what she had done to offend him.
"You're something else! You haven't come home all night, what do you think this place is now? Your temporary inn?"
"Young Master Gu, are you sick? I'm leaving now, so get out of my way." Her tone was also unpleasant. She had planned to take a shower and rest for a while before going out, but now that someone was talking to her like this, she was already past her sleepy days. Anyone would be angry in her shoes.
Gu Siye had never been ignored like this before, nor had he ever been called crazy! An unnamed fire was about to engulf him, and he instantly lost his mind. He stepped forward, grabbed Li Zhiyi's wrists, raised her hands above her head, and then leaned in to kiss her.
Li Zhi was terrified. She struggled desperately, but to no avail! Because her hands were restrained, she couldn't take out the talisman, and in her panic, she forgot how to chant the incantation.
A torrent of passionate kisses swept over him. Having tasted the sweetness, how could Gu Siye let her go? He kissed her even more fiercely, almost drowning Li Zhiyi in the kiss!
