"Of course not. My father is a god among gods, one in heaven and earth. You heartless and ungrateful scoundrel, you have even forgotten my father. My father used to praise you in front of me. You are nothing but a wolf in sheep's clothing."
The little fairy was bossy and looked at me aggressively, as if she wanted to poke a hole in me. I didn't know what I had done to offend her, but I never liked to argue with brats.
In situations like this, all you need to do is beat her up; she's experienced in this.
Just as I was about to give it a try, a familiar voice came from afar: "Chao Chao, don't be silly."
I stopped the spell and looked up.
In the distance, a young man arrives riding on auspicious seven-colored clouds, leading a multitude of people.
He wore a bright yellow imperial robe, with a golden dragon and jade python belt around his waist, a dazzling imperial pendant, a gilded crown soaring into the sky, and a pair of amber-colored brocade dragon-patterned boots. His whole body exuded the noble air of an emperor.
How times have changed! After she went out for a while, her grandfather had already passed the throne of the Heavenly Emperor to Mo Han.
"Father, you've come. Nian'er has been waiting for you for so long."
Before she could even greet anyone at the foot of the mountain, the little fairy who had been criticizing her for being heartless and ungrateful rushed over and hugged Mo Han's legs.
By this point, there was nothing he didn't understand. He felt like he was being cuckolded. Surprisingly, however, she didn't feel wronged or humiliated. Instead, it was as if a heavy stone that had been weighing on her heart had been lifted, and she felt completely relieved.
So he stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said, "This humble immortal is terrified, unaware of the Heavenly Venerable's presence. Please forgive me."
Although she didn't feel sad or upset, after reading so many stories, she knew that people who were heartbroken always acted strangely and sobbed a bit.
Sobbing and twitching isn't her style, but she can certainly pull off being sarcastic and unsettling.
Mo Han's previously tender and affectionate smile froze, replaced by a bitter smile. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."
Seeing him like this, the little fairy felt extremely sorry for him, and immediately began to glare at him.
The gods, surrounding Mo Han, landed in front of me and bowed, saying, "We, the lowly gods, greet Your Highness, Princess."
No need for formalities.
"Alright, when have I ever been angry with you? I was just joking. Don't look at me like that." I patted Mo Han's shoulder and smiled. "I came in a hurry today and forgot to prepare a gift for you. I'll make it up to you another day."
Mo Han then dropped his hesitant demeanor and patted my head with a smile.
"As expected, you're still as heartless as ever."
I was furious. Why does he always treat me like a pet, pulling out my hair all the time?
"Xue Xiaobai, bite him!" I thought to myself and released my newly acquired little brother.
Snowflakes swelled in the wind, growing as big as a small mountain in the blink of an eye. With just a roar towards the sky, they shook people so much that they staggered and lost their footing.
"Is it a Qilin, an ancient Qilin? Everyone, step back!"
Everyone was shocked and retreated. Mo Han, holding the pink-clad fairy child, leaped up and shouted, "You beast!" He looked at me for help, "Chao Chao, stop making trouble, quickly put it away."
I was stunned too. I never expected that this little white dog was actually a Qilin, an ancient Qilin at that. How come everyone else recognized it, but she didn't? But I didn't have time to think about it at the moment.
"Xue Xiaobai, come back!" I spread out my sleeves and called out to Xue Xiaobai. He immediately turned back to his original form and crawled into my sleeve.
