"I'm sorry, but I'd rather die than have my hair messed up. I just don't want you to pull my hair anymore."
I looked at Mo Han with a pitiful expression, and chickened out without any backbone.
"It's alright," Mo Han smiled gently, looking at me with doting eyes, making my face feel a little flushed.
"By the way, has anyone seen the Crown Prince return? I need to speak with him," I asked the gods, turning my face away shyly.
The gods exchanged bewildered glances, hesitant to speak. A tense silence fell over the room. Mo Han's gentle gaze suddenly hardened, turning sharp and menacing.
"He conspired with his father to steal the Six Realms Boundary Stones in an attempt to open the gates of the Six Realms and let outsiders in. He has been stripped of his divine status, his immortal bones removed, and banished from the Heavenly Realm. From now on, my divine race will never have another Ye Xingchen."
This is truly a momentous matter. Stealing the boundary stones of the Six Realms and attempting to open the gates of the Six Realms—does he think he has too much time on his hands? What on earth happened to drive him to such madness?
But that doesn't make sense. Shouldn't he have always been with me in that alien tribe full of blue cherry trees? When did he do something so outrageous? Could it have been during the time I was in the illusion?
The mysteries surrounding my older cousin seem to be piling up. What does all this have to do with her being kidnapped during her trial, inexplicably falling into an illusion, sacrificing herself to a tree, and the blue-clad figure in the tree? I feel increasingly confused.
"Chao Chao, I..." Mo Han was about to speak when a divine lord came to report that the immortals had arrived and the emperors requested the emperor to move to the Divine Firmament Palace.
Mo Han glanced at the newcomer, then at me, hesitated for a moment, and didn't leave immediately, as if he had something to say. Just as he was about to step forward, he was interrupted again, "Reporting to Your Majesty, the Witch Clan has also arrived."
After this happened twice, Mo Han couldn't care less about saying anything more. He handed the pink-clad fairy in his arms to the god beside him, hurriedly left, and then came back to take me with him.
In the blink of an eye, they arrived at the Shenxiao Palace, where their grandfather often worked. The four emperors, who were usually rarely seen, stood on both sides, and two groups of people below the palace were arguing fiercely.
"What's all this noise about?" Mo Han waved his sleeve and spoke to stop them, his voice carrying an indescribable air of authority.
Unbeknownst to him, Mo Han had become increasingly different from before.
The once naive boy has now shed his childishness and gained a more mature and weathered air.
"Your Majesty, the chieftain of the Wu tribe, Ye Meng, has led an army of 100,000 Wu tribe members to gather on the banks of the Si River. They demand that we hand over the Red Butterfly Immortal, or they will attack the Heavenly Court. They have also sent an escort envoy, who is currently resting at Pengxi Palace."
Upon hearing this, the minor official who came to deliver the message hurriedly presented a memorial to Emperor Zifu.
"What do you all think?" Mo Han frowned, his face turning red and then pale, as if he had a terrible headache.
Everyone remained silent, unsure of what to do.
Just then, a familiar red dress came into my view.
"I heard that Feng Chaoruo is back. Where is she, Master? Your disciple has come to take you home. Come out quickly and come with me."
Ignoring the astonished looks of the gods, Hua Qingcheng scurried around in the crowd with shifty eyes, showing no regard for Mo Han's dignity.
"Red Butterfly Immortal, the princess is with the Emperor." It was still the Goddess Zi Fu who couldn't stand it, pointing to me behind Mo Han's throne.
Hua Qingcheng followed the gaze of the Purple Goddess and saw me. Her eyes gleamed with a green light. Her demeanor was like that of a mouse seeing a granary, which was quite eerie.
