"No, no..." Gu Liyan hurriedly said, "I was injured because I just... just encountered a beast tide."
Seeing Gu Liyan's evasive gaze, Mo Bai already knew the answer in his heart. He didn't ask any more questions and pulled Gu Liyan's arm to walk forward. "Come on, I'll take you to heal your wounds."

"That person does bear a striking resemblance to Lord Baidi. Could this be the legendary 'couple's resemblance'?!"

Hearing the whispers outside, Gu Liyan looked at Mo Bai with an embarrassed expression. "Maybe I should leave..."
"Where can you go as a demon? Do you want the demons to tear you to pieces?!" Mo Bai said irritably. "A thousand-year-old fox spirit can't even tolerate gossip? You've wasted your life!"
Gu Liyan lowered his head after being scolded by Mo Bai, sitting to the side with a cute and obedient look.
Seeing Gu Liyan's reaction, Mo Bai beckoned, "Hold out your hand, let me show you."
Gu Liyan said "Oh" and stretched out her hand.

"A curse of fate? What does that mean?" Gu Liyan asked.

Mo Bai remained secluded for three days without seeing anyone, while the rumors circulating outside, told by the little demons, grew increasingly rampant.
"I heard that the White Emperor has been favoring a fox demon and hasn't left his house for three days!"
"Where? It's been four days since I got back!"
"Really? I just heard Lord Baidi ordering his servants to prepare a bath!"
"The tomb of heroes, a haven of gentle pleasures; it seems no emperor can escape it!"
Gu Li, who was passing by, heard their conversation and coldly asked, "What did you say?"
Upon seeing the ancient calendar, the little demons who had been discussing it all knelt down and said, "Greetings, Strategist!"
"Is what you just said true?" Gu Li asked coldly.
The little demons all lowered their heads, not daring to speak.
"Speak quickly!" Gu Li urged.
Seeing Gu Li's gloomy face, the lesser demons dared not lie and lowered their heads, saying, "Yes, it's true..."
Gu Li was so angry that he split up and left, going to Gu Yan's room to tell him the truth.
Gu Yan slammed his fist on the table and roared, "That scoundrel! I never expected him to be so obsessed with beautiful women!"
"Gu Yan, what should we do? Should we stop him?" Gu Li asked anxiously.
"Stop it? Can you stop something like this?!" Gu Yan slammed his fist on the table in anger.
"I wondered why the White Emperor would take a liking to a little fox demon." Gu Li said with a frown.
"Fox Clan? If it's the Fox Clan, that makes things much easier!" Gu Yan said, narrowing his eyes. "I'll send someone to summon Mo Bai to give you the mission, and then you can sneak in and deal with that fox demon!"
Gu Li nodded in agreement.
Gu Liyan felt much better after taking a medicinal bath. "This medicinal bath is really good. It seems that my injuries will be healed in less than half a month."
Mo Bai, who was brewing tea, smiled and said, "Of course, these are medicinal herbs that I secretly collected in the Nine Netherworld for a long time! Today, you can have a good deal..."
Mo Bai's words came to an abrupt halt, and he looked up at Gu Liyan, suddenly stunned.
Gu Liyan's long, black hair was draped over her shoulders, with water droplets falling one by one. Her beautiful face was like that of a woman, with a faint smile on it. Moreover, there was no unpleasant medicinal smell on her, but rather a refreshing floral fragrance.
Mo Bai subconsciously swallowed, and suddenly his mouth became dry.

Mo Bai lowered his head, looking embarrassed, and continued brewing tea. "No, it's nothing. Come and have some tea."
Seeing Mo Bai's clumsy tea-making technique, Gu Liyan smiled and said, "I know how to do this, let me do it!"
Gu Liyan accepted and began the tea-making process with practiced ease. Seeing Gu Liyan's serious expression, Mo Bai swallowed hard again.
"You're thirsty, you can drink first." Gu Liyan saw Mo Bai swallowing and handed him the first cup of tea.
Mo Bai took it and glanced at Gu Liyan, feeling even drier, and immediately drank it all in one gulp.
