Gu Liyan's reaction exceeded everyone's expectations. Even Mo Chen had never seen Gu Liyan so angry, and he even doubted whether the current Gu Liyan was the original him.
Gu Tao lowered her head, looking aggrieved, but she didn't cry. Instead, she obediently said to Hua Baixian, "Mother, if it's inconvenient, you can send me to another orphanage. Don't quarrel because of me."
Hua Baixian hugged Gu Tao tenderly, "How could it be inconvenient? Mother knows, you are my child, our Xiao Tao, it is only natural for me to take care of you. As for Xiao Li... your father's current status is special, and he cannot acknowledge you yet, so don't be sad or resent him, and understand his difficulties."

Mo Chen felt a warmth in his heart as he looked at Hua Baixian. He was beginning to accept that this woman was the one Gu Liyan was looking for.
Hua Baixian held Gu Tao's little hand and said, "Come on, Mother will take you away from here."
After leaving the Quanjiu Orphanage, Hua Baixian saw Gu Liyan sitting in the car with a gloomy face. She glared at him angrily, dissatisfied with his attitude. After thinking about it, she realized that Gu Tao might suffer if she stayed with him, so she prepared to take Gu Tao away.
Gu Liyan opened the car door and leaned out, her cold voice rang out, "Get in! Do you intend to walk back with him? You can't take care of adults, let alone children. What kind of mother are you!"
Hua Baixian stopped in her tracks upon hearing Gu Liyan's words, secretly smiling to herself: Although this guy doesn't seem to like Gu Tao on the surface, he actually cares about the mother and son!
Hua Baixian carried Gu Tao into the car, placed Gu Tao between the two of them, and then closed the car door.
Just as Hua Baixian was about to speak, Gu Liyan spoke first, coldly saying, "When you get back, just say that he was adopted by you and has nothing to do with me."
Hua Baixian retorted angrily, "I knew you meant no good! You're such a heartless bastard!"
Gu Liyan ignored Hua Baixian and glared at Gu Tao sitting next to him. "Your name is Gu Tao, right? Did you hear what I said?"
"Yes, Father!" Gu Tao nodded obediently.
Gu Liyan glared at him, annoyed. "Who's your father! Call me brother!"
Gu Tao looked aggrieved. "But if I call you brother, won't your children have to call me uncle in the future?"
Sitting in the front row, Mo Chen couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Why don't you just let Xiao Tao call you godfather? No one will say anything."
Gu Liyan immediately rejected the idea, "No way! Wouldn't that mean that girl Hua Baixian would take advantage of me!"
Hua Baixian glared at Gu Liyan, annoyed. "Who took advantage of you! You treat me like a slave every day and I haven't said anything!"
"You dare to say that! I was the one who saved you from being harassed by a drunkard late at night! I even gave you a stable job and supported your debut. You should be more careful. What kind of job can you do? You've messed them all up!"
Hua Baixian turned around angrily and pointed at Gu Liyan, saying, "With your skills, you dare to save me? I'm much better than you! I can take on ten people by myself now! Besides, I have hands and feet, and I can find a job myself! It's not like I'm deliberately bothering you to find me a job!"
Gu Liyan was furious, "You..."
Gu Tao hurriedly stepped in to break up the fight, saying, "Father, don't be angry. Why don't you send me to the orphanage? I won't bother you."
"No!" Gu Liyan and Hua Baixian said in unison.
Hua Baixian looked at Gu Liyan strangely. Why did he also change his mind and want to keep Gu Tao?
Gu Liyan's gaze flickered slightly, and he said in an annoyed tone, "What I mean is, going to an orphanage will affect your development, so it's better not to go. You can just live in my house as her adopted child!"
Hua Baixian's momentum weakened when she saw that Gu Liyan agreed to let Gu Tao stay. "Fine, as long as you promise not to let Gu Tao go to the orphanage, you don't have to pay me wages."
Gu Liyan glared at Hua Baixian, "You didn't get paid anyway!"

Just as Hua Baixian was about to say something, the driver suddenly slammed on the brakes. Gu Liyan quickly shielded Gu Tao, who was sitting next to him, and asked, "What happened?"
The driver sighed and said, "It's nothing, a cat ran by and I almost hit it."
Gu Liyan breathed a sigh of relief and instructed, "There are children in the car, so don't drive so fast. Let's find a hotel nearby to rest and leave tomorrow."
"Yes, Young Master Mo." The driver glanced at Gu Tao in Gu Liyan's arms and replied.
Gu Tao looked up at Gu Liyan and smiled. Gu Liyan had just immediately shielded her in his arms, which was enough to prove that Gu Liyan had feelings for him.
Gu Liyan, remembering that he was still holding Gu Tao, hurriedly let go and glared at her angrily, "You brat, hurry up and fasten your seatbelt!"
Gu Tao fastened her seatbelt with a grin, leaning slightly towards Gu Liyan, as if she had already accepted Gu Liyan as her father.
Seeing that their relationship had improved considerably, Hua Baixian smiled and whispered to Gu Liyan, "I knew it! You couldn't possibly abandon Xiao Tao!"
Gu Liyan glared at Hua Baixian but said nothing, sulking as she looked out the window at the scenery.
Not long after, the car stopped in front of a hotel.
"This is the only hotel around here, why don't we stay here..." the driver asked, glancing at Mo Chen.
Mo Chen glanced in the rearview mirror; the three people in the back seat were already asleep, nestled together. Mo Chen nodded. "This is fine."
After saying that, she turned around and woke Gu Liyan, "Little Li, wake up, we've arrived, let's go inside and rest?"
Gu Liyan groggily opened his eyes. "Have you found a hotel yet?"
"Okay, get dressed before you get off the bus, it's cold at night," Mo Chen said.
