Shi Banxia, a freelance photographer who fears the cold but chases light and shadow, a summer soul, unexpectedly takes on a photography job at a scientific research station.
Ji Rendong, a scientific researcher who can wear a single layer in a blizzard, is accustomed to being alone in winter, but is forced to accept this "tropical human pendant."
When the snowstorm rages, the cold-fearing Banxia burrows into Rendong's sleeping bag, while the heat-fearing Rendong secretly turns up the electric heater.
One night, the research station's power goes out:
Ji Rendong (forcing herself to be calm): "Are you cold...?"
Shi Banxia (blinking, inching further into her arms): "Your heart is beating so fast..."
