Day 29 of customs clearance

Day 29 of customs clearance

Red Robin is on her way.

Not only did the Arkham Knights discover the anomalies at Arkham Asylum, but the Batfighters also transmitted real-time monitoring data directly to it.

The usually heavily guarded 'prison' was now even more silent. The vigilante who had checked the surveillance footage had seen five clowns laughing and joking as they entered through the main gate.

Five.

Red Robin remembers correctly, these five should be in the Batcave. Red Robin falls into thought, "Where's Batman?"

Red Robin, who had reviewed the surveillance footage of Wayne Manor, knew that the butler was currently watering the flowers, but the real protagonist was nowhere to be seen.

Superboy, floating in mid-air, sighed, "Bro, I think you might need some outside help."

Once out of combat, Superboy forgot Red Robin's warning and naturally started using a more intimate nickname for her.

Even the furious Robin remained silent with a sullen face, leaving only Superboy's mutterings inside the fighter jet.

While surprised that Batman couldn't find the person responsible for Gotham's release of the animal, he hesitated between rescuing Oracle or returning to Wayne Manor.

There were only him, Red Robin, and Robin on the plane. He didn't dare to go to Wayne Manor alone, which was full of unknowns. If he got killed, he would be finished.

The Arkham Knight leaving the base doesn't mean his men have left too. Overwhelming numbers can wear people down, and in Arkham Asylum, with its five clones of the Joker, it's even more crucial not to send just one person to scout ahead.

Why make things difficult for him? Kang hung upside down in the air, casting his gaze toward the external brain on site—Red Robin.

Red Robin lowered her hands from the monitoring console. "Kang, take Robin to meet up with the troublemakers and rescue Oracle and Nightwing. I'm going back to Wayne Manor."

What he didn't say was that the biggest problem might be the lack of Batman's trail, and he might not be able to leave Wayne Manor unscathed this time.

"If things change, take Nightwing and the others, as well as Robin, and leave Gotham."

Kang covered the communication screen, his azure pupils revealing deep confusion, but he couldn't ask because Robin was present.

Red Robin is always mysterious, and even if Kang's brain were fried, he couldn't figure out Red Robin's hesitation and decision.

"TT, Drake, what are you and Superboy pretending to be riddle-solving people for? Are you hiding something from me?"

Robin's mind raced, and he suddenly exclaimed, "Batman's in trouble!"

The eerie green eyes swept over Superboy and Red Robin, filled with vigilance. Robin, who had just escaped Deathstroke's clutches, was unaware that Batman was in trouble; in fact, he had been kept in the dark all along.

He was merely an unsuspecting bystander who stumbled into the fog after accidentally learning of Red Robin and Nightwing's conversation.

Keeping it from them might not be the best option. Robin's reaction surprised Red Robin; he hadn't expected Robin to get straight to the point.

Red Robin sighed; keeping things to himself would only lead to division and danger within the team.

"Batman is missing. The Joker virus infected at Arkham Asylum shouldn't be there. Perhaps things need to be traced back to the Joker and Scarecrow teaming up to escape from Arkham Asylum."

"Too much of the process is missing, and I don't know how far things have progressed."

Red Robin spoke in an extremely calm tone, as if recounting people and events that had nothing to do with him, but Kang knew that Red Robin was on the verge of losing control.

Kang's feet landed lightly on the alloy floor. Red Robin didn't call for help, perhaps because he couldn't.

Kang turned on the communicator and sent messages one by one. He was not disappointed, so he turned it off.

Unable to send messages outside of Gotham, or worse, Gotham itself has long since become an isolated island.

He was included in the list because he was traveling in Gotham and helping Red Robin on his mission. If he hadn't happened to be in the mood to assist Red Robin, he would have been isolated from Gotham and worried sick about Red Robin, whom he couldn't contact.

"TT".

Robin was speechless for a moment. He was sent to summer camp by Batman after the Joker and Scarecrow escaped from prison together.

Looking back now, Batman's hasty kicking him away seems extremely suspicious.

"If you encounter anything suspicious, back off, including Batman. In the end, be careful with everything."

Red Robin appeared quite serious.

"Brother, don't be so anxious, I'm here. As long as you don't stuff kryptonite in my mouth, there won't be any problems."

Kang shook his cloak. "It's your masterpiece. Don't you believe in yourself?"

Red Robin glanced at his modified Superboy uniform, which was covered with a thin layer of lead, enough to handle most situations involving kryptonite.

Red Robin showed no sign of worry. The lead layer wasn't omnipotent, the enemy wasn't something he had anticipated, and every battle was part of the plan.

In the end, Red Robin only urged: "If there's a problem at Arkham Asylum, the Arkham Knights will definitely go there. Deathstroke isn't at the base either. This is a good opportunity for the Spoilers to save Oracle Nightwing. You guys make contact with the Spoilers and don't let things change."

Neither Kang nor Robin said anything more, and Red Robin's solemn expression indicated that the situation was extremely urgent.

Kang and Robin flew the Batplane to Arkham Knights base, while Red Robin switched to the Red Robin Motorbike and headed to Wayne Manor.

Under the massive baton, two barely acquaintances sat on the ropes, the air so still that Kang seemed to want to tell a lame joke to ease the tension.

Kang and Robin didn't spend much time together, and Kang's impression of Robin mostly came from Joe's descriptions, including but not limited to his intelligence, bravery, love of animals, and rich emotions.

But looking at the grumpy-faced kid in front of him, Kang Yi was 100% certain that Joe was exaggerating Robin's image.

Arkham Knights Base.

Mercenaries moved around the launcher, carrying energy, power, food storage, and a bunch of supplies to ensure that three people could survive a month of wandering in space.

Adrian: "Has the Oracle awakened?"

The subordinate, with hands at his sides and head bowed, respectfully replied, "Not yet. Do we still need to send her up?"

There are no good medical resources in space, and the oracle had an accident that could only be saved by God descending to earth.

"If you don't lock them up, where do you plan to send them?"

Adrian, looking annoyed, kept scrolling through the communication messages. In the end, he could only reluctantly admit that no Arkham Knight had sent him any information.

The boss clearly issued orders to so many squad leaders, so why wasn't he among them?

Adrian felt a sense of urgency; he needed to quickly resolve the immediate trouble and reunite with the Arkham Knights.

Adrian urged his men, "The Oracle is unconscious and hasn't come. Don't tell me the troublemaker and Nightwing are also unconscious. Bring them here now."

The subordinate asked cautiously, "Should the oracle be brought over?"

"What do you think? Of course we'll lift it!"

Adrian began pacing. The Arkham Knight sent a message to Deathstroke, but he didn't receive it.

The system is urging him to join the final battle as soon as possible, but can he copy a clone and send it over?

If you don't follow Arkham Knight's instructions, you'll lose favor; if you do follow Arkham Knight's instructions, you'll sometimes lose favor because you haven't grasped the knight's appeal.

If you understand the knight's point, you'll first raise his favorability and then drastically lower it.

Given that the series was over and the Arkham Knight wasn't around, he could be a little less attentive, but that didn't mean he could wash his hands of the matter and not head to Arkham Asylum at the exact time the Arkham Knight had predicted...

Adrian almost groaned as the knight relentlessly questioned him and learned everything that had happened at the base.

Others can be left to their own devices, but Adrian would rather stay here and push his subordinates to make progress than let him treat his boss however he wants.

Being a sycophant in a game for too long will inevitably affect player behavior—the game is important, but the leader is equally important.

A flurry of hurried footsteps interrupted Adrian's attempts to urge them on, and the boisterous behavior made Adrian frown.

"Oh no! Oh no! The troublemaker has escaped!"

Adrian: ...

The subordinate, panting heavily, said, "The oracle is gone too!"

Adrian put down the communicator and calmly asked, "Has Nightwing disappeared?"

Nightwing is still here.

Under the fearful gazes of his subordinates, Adrian wondered whether he should imitate Deathstroke's behavior before leaving.

Finally, the importance of the troublemaker and the oracle stopped Adrian's terrible idea; he had no time to waste on his subordinates.

"Martial law at the base! Conduct a thorough search for the troublemaker and the Oracle. Those two can't have gone far!"

Another subordinate ran in shouting, "Something terrible has happened! Robin has broken in with Superman!"

The troublemakers, carrying divine pronouncements and hiding in the warehouse, held their breath; they were lurking in a blind spot above the containers.

The mercenaries searching below were about to close in on her position. If she stood below and looked up, she and the Oracle would be exposed.

The endless stream of mercenaries in the base could overwhelm her, and although she could fearlessly launch a breakout, the Oracle is still not awake.

As the person drew closer, the troublemaker's heart pounded harder.

The red hair that had fallen onto the troublemaker's shoulder twitched slightly, and the troublemaker covered the oracle's mouth with his hand before it unconsciously made a sound.

"Boss, they're over there!"

The mercenary, having spotted the troublemaker, shouted, drawing everyone's attention in the warehouse.

The troublemakers cling to the divine oracle.

The next moment, it was broad daylight.

It wasn't the incandescent lights in the warehouse that were shining brightly, but rather the sunlight streaming in as if the entire warehouse roof had been lifted off.

"Hey sis, we're here!"

"Oh no, it's Superman."

"And Robin!"

"Why is Superman in Gotham? Superman shouldn't be in Metropolis."

"How could Batman possibly let Superman in..."

The once vicious and cunning mercenaries in the warehouse were now no different from ordinary people, chattering and making a ruckus just like everyone else.

The troublemaker felt relieved, and she took the initiative to step in.

"I and the oracle are here!"

Kang, carrying Robin, slowly flew down from the sky and asked curiously, "Isn't Nightwing also there? Am I remembering wrong?"

"TT, Nightwing is still locked up at the base."

The troublemaker looked at Robin with surprise; he didn't even mock her.

Feeling embarrassed by the stares, Robin gave an awkward look and commanded, "Guide the troublemaker."

“Robin…”

"Oracle, you're awake," the troublemaker turned her head, but unfortunately, her posture didn't allow her to see more of the Oracle's condition.

The oracle spoke haltingly: "Robin, Batman said to tell Arkham Knight to be careful of Batman getting infected..."

The oracle's head slumped heavily onto the troublemaker's shoulder, his breathing faint.

Wayne Manor.

A glint of green flashed in the eyes of the butler, who had his back to Red Robin.
