Master 13

Master 13

The Samoyed looked at Song Jing with a smile, probably understanding what she said. It raised its head to look at He Mian and took a few steps towards him. Before it could get close to He Mian, it wagged its tail and retreated to Song Jing's feet.

He Mian sat in his original position somewhat at a loss. Animals are very spiritual and much smarter than humans imagine. It probably noticed that something was wrong with him, so it retreated angrily.

He looked at Song Jing with a silly look on his face.

Song Jing paused stroking the dog's head and gave a few awkward dry laughs. "It's never seen you before, so it might be shy."

She could never have imagined that the cheerful little Yayeh was actually afraid of the stern-looking adult Maine Coon cat.

"Maybe." He Mian breathed a sigh of relief and watched her pet the puppy, suppressing the bitterness in his heart.

He silently brainwashed himself in his heart, telling himself to be a magnanimous person and not to show his jealousy towards his husband. The most important thing was that Song Jing was happy.

The coffee in front of them was soon finished. The staff of the dog cafe came over to Song Jing and the others with a camera in hand. "Afternoon tea is almost over. We can take a group photo. Would you like a photo?"

This store will have a live photo event at 4 pm. Customers present can take a group photo with all the puppies in the dog cafe and have the photos printed on the spot as a souvenir.

The developed photos were free and there was no need to pay extra. Song Jing thought that there was no reason to refuse something that was given for free, so she nodded and agreed.

"Is this gentleman with a lady?" the staff member turned and asked He Mian.

"Yeah." He Mian stood up and followed her.

The staff called out to them gently a few times and the puppies all came running over.

Song Jing and He Mian sat in the center of the camera, surrounded by puppies.

The dog followed behind her, its paws making a tapping sound on the floor. Song Jing always thought this sound was so cute, so cute that she took the initiative to reach out and catch the Samoyed.

"Please come closer." The staff member holding the camera tilted his head and reminded them.

He Mian was a head taller than her, and even taller when he sat down. Song Jing raised her head slightly and looked at him, and he took the initiative to move closer to her.

"Okay, are you ready?"

"It's okay!" Feeling He Mian's arm loosely attached to her right arm, Song Jing replied to the staff.

The three-year-old Samoyed, who only knew Song Jing, was a fairly large adult. Even when taking photos, he kept close to Song Jing. Just as the staff pressed the shutter button, the little Samoyed, eager to get closer to Song Jing, kept squeezing in her direction.

Song Jing was relaxed, no stronger than a puppy. The unexpected force caused her to fall towards He Mian.

"Be careful." He Mian quickly embraced her from behind.

Song Jing was stunned and looked at He Mian in silence for two seconds. It was not until the voice of the staff interrupted the silence between them that He Mian slowly let go of her hand.

"It depends on whether the photo is taken properly. I feel it is pretty good."

Song Jing looked down at the photos in the camera. Both she and He Mian were photogenic and their expressions were pretty good. However, at the moment the photo was taken, Song Jing had been squeezed by the Samoyed and fell towards He Mian. Just looking at the photo, the two of them seemed inexplicably intimate.

"I think it's pretty good." He Mian was very satisfied. He had never taken any photo with Song Jing in this body.

However, he knew that Song Jing had a photo album specifically named "Xiaomian".

"Then let's just use this one." He Mian thought Song Jing was pretty good and didn't want to bother taking another photo.

The photos were developed quickly, but according to the store’s rules, only one photo was given as a gift.

Song Jing took the photo from the staff and put it into He Mian's hand. "I have a photo with the dog before. Can I give this one to you as a souvenir?"

She could feel that He Mian was in a very relaxed state and seemed to be in a good mood. She thought he must like the puppy very much, so he looked a little happy.

He Mian lowered his head and took the photo of them. His fingertips accidentally brushed against her fingers. The similar body temperature prevented him from feeling the warmth of Song Jing's slender fingers at first, but he clearly felt the touch of their skin.

Song Jing wasn't that sensitive to their physical contact. After seeing He Mian take the photos, she picked up her bag and the supermarket shopping bags and said, "Let's go home."

"Okay, let's go home."

-

The air conditioning in the office was a little low. Song Jing, wearing a thin coat, was opening a package that had been delivered to the company over the weekend and had not yet been opened.

"Oh, the chocolate bars I bought have arrived." She turned her head to look at another cardboard box, "The cat strips have also arrived."

"Sister Jingjing, have you read the news in the same city? It seems something happened in your community recently." Jiang Qixin walked into the office in a hurry with a thermos cup.

Song Jing looked up at her and found that she was frowning and speaking with an extremely serious expression. Jiang Qixin was usually a girl with little emotional fluctuation, and she rarely spoke to Song Jing in such a stealthy tone.

Song Jing took out the chocolate bar box and stuffed it into the cabinet where she kept snacks. "What news? I don't think I know."

Jiang Qixin took out his phone and looked through his browsing history. He found the video he had just watched and handed it to Song Jing. "Here."

Song Jing lowered her head and finished watching the shocking video in her hand, and got goose bumps all over her body.

A cat abuser suspected of having an antisocial personality appeared near their community. The time and angle of the crime were probably carefully chosen, so that even the surveillance camera could not record clear footage.

"This person is so bad. And according to the news, he is very likely a resident of your community. Anyone who can do such a thing must have something wrong with his brain." Jiang Qixin put away his phone.

Song Jing's residential complex was actually quite large, with over thirty apartment buildings. It was a mixed crowd, with all sorts of strange people living there, and had been featured in the news more than once.

However, more serious incidents are still rare.

"Sister Jingjing, you have to be careful." Jiang Qixin said with some concern.

Single women are always more worried and distracted than others, even though society seems to be harmonious enough now. There are many kind people, but there are also many evil people.

Even if it's not their fault, they still need to pay attention.

Song Jing nodded worriedly, then heaved a sigh of relief when he remembered that the news report at the end said the kitten had been rescued.

The cicadas outside the window are chirping non-stop, but you can't hear the disturbing sound on the 16th floor.

"Thank you." Song Jing took the bowl from He Mian and said, "He Mian, have you seen any news about the community recently?"

Song Jing is now used to calling He Mian by his full name. After all, this man cooks for her every day, and it does feel a bit awkward to always call him Mr. He.

"News? What's the news in the community?" He Mian paused while spooning the soup.

Song Jing told Jiang Qixin the news she had discussed today in a serious manner.

He Mian put down the spoon and nodded, "I saw it." His duty has always been to protect the kittens here, how could he not know.

"What a bad person." Song Jing said angrily while poking the chopsticks.

"Indeed, I don't know what kind of mentality this kind of person has." He Mian tried his best to keep his tone steady. Why aren't other people as kind as Song Jing? Why are there so many evil people in the world?

As they talked, they continued to eat in a somewhat depressed mood.

As usual, Song Jing played with her mobile phone for a while after returning home after dinner, and then lay on the sofa to apply a facial mask after washing up.

Although her eyes were fixed on the video in her hand, Song Jing's ears were sensitive enough to catch the sound of the door opening and closing next door.

She moved her ears and could only barely hear the noise from He Mian's house. The other three households were separated from her house by elevators and fire escapes, so they were not that close.

"Why is he going out so late again?" she said to herself. This was not the first time she saw He Mian going out at night. Sometimes He Mian would not come home until she was about to go to bed.

But tonight, until she turned off the lights in the living room and returned to her room, He Mian still hadn't returned home.

Song Jing looked at his dark little balcony, sighed, and lay back in his soft bed.

However, she believed that He Mian had been very busy with work recently. He had to work overtime on Wednesday afternoon and had to leave the company temporarily.

He Mian apologized to Song Jing and told her that he could not have dinner with her tonight.

However, it just so happened that Song Jing had been craving fried chicken recently, so she ordered some takeout for dinner alone after a long absence.

After taking a big sip of ice cola, several messages came to my phone one after another.

[Song Jing, I'm sorry to bother you. Are you free now? ]

Song Jing picked up a tissue, wiped her hands, and replied, "I'm free."

He Mian called directly.

"I left an important document at home, but I can't find the electronic version, so I'd like you to go to your study and get it, scan it, and send it to me."

He Mian knew that Song Jing was annoyed when she had to do work after get off work, but now that the incident happened suddenly, he had no choice but to trouble her.

Because he was worried that Song Jing would dislike him, his tone even sounded a bit humble and like a request.

"Oh, sure. Are the documents in the study?" Song Jing washed her hands and walked out of the house.

"Yeah, a gray folder. I only have one gray folder." He Mian paused, "Oh, let me tell you my password first."

Song Jing interrupted He Mian and said subconsciously: "Ah, it's not good to tell me the password directly. It's a bit unsafe."

All in all, she and He Mian had only known each other for less than two months, and their relationship was not yet close enough to the point where they could casually tell each other the password to their home door.

He Mian was stunned for a moment, "It's okay, how can you be unsafe for me?"

Being a human is really troublesome. If you were a kitten, you could express your love directly, but as a human, you can't be so affectionate with Song Jing casually. Even if you tell her the password to your home, she won't accept it.

He sighed silently. Based on his observation and study of human principles over the years, he knew that money was very important to people, so He Mian also thought about telling Song Jing the password of his safe and bank card in the future.

We can only take it slowly.
