"I don't know either."
"What's going on this time? If, as you say, the torch lighting has been weakened, then we can only rely on the shark beads? Is this disaster an enhanced version of the shark attack?"
"It doesn't seem like it. I think the darkness is the key. Something that defies common sense is more likely to be a disaster."
"Damn, I really want to curse. I was going to take down the shark beads I listed, but they're all sold out!"
"Hey upstairs, you put it up for sale yourself, so don't blame others for buying it."
"It's too dark. It'll be safer to prepare more beads."
"Really, brothers and sisters, don't use torches anymore. It's too dark for torches to keep out the light. I almost tripped and fell into the sea just now."
"I think it's more appropriate to call this place 'White Night,' we can't call it 'Black Night' anymore!"
...
Gu Xi surveyed her surroundings and the conversations in the chat channel, gradually gaining an understanding of the situation. It seemed that the situation elsewhere was not much different from hers.
Furthermore, the information mentioned in the chat channel indicated that the torches' brightness had diminished in the darkness, while the shark beads had become excellent lighting tools. Could this disaster be twofold? Gu Xi couldn't help but fall into deep thought.
Gu Xi's doubts didn't last long; she quickly dismissed the speculation.
The night had lasted for most of the day, but she had not been attacked by sharks. This at least proves that the disaster was not directly related to the shark attack.
However, the prolonged darkness had a significant impact on both people and fish. Lacking sunlight, the fish generally felt restless and agitated.
The octopus went to stay in the light and refused to ride the fish anymore.
The sharks also became lazy and unwilling to move away from the light source to push the boxes.
Even the usually energetic pheasants were now drooping their heads and looking listless.
The duck closed its eyes, as if it had fallen asleep.
Gu Xi walked to the planting box and found that the plants had also entered a special state.
This condition is not a negative detriment, but rather a result of the lack of light causing their growth rate to become abnormally slow.
However, unlike ordinary flowers and plants, the spiritual plants exhibit unique characteristics. They do not show signs of slow growth; in fact, they show signs of accelerated growth.
Just as Gu Xi was wondering, a song suddenly came from inside.
“♩♫~”
A strange, intermittent melody suddenly drifted across the tranquil sea. Though faint, the music reached Gu Xi's ears clearly.
She immediately became alert, ordered the sharks to stop, and then focused her attention to carefully identify the source of the music.
“♩♫~”
The music is eerie and ethereal; at first glance it seems chaotic, yet it also appears to contain some kind of pattern. Like the mist drifting in a dark forest, it appears and disappears, carrying an indescribable sense of mystery.
Its notes spread across the sea, like an invisible mist, quietly permeating the air. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
