Gu Xi wiped the remaining liquid from his mouth and continued to use his mental energy to obstruct the flow of the vortex.
Gradually, just as she was feeling a little dizzy, the door was finally opened wide enough for her to squeeze in sideways.
Gu Xi took a few steps forward and squeezed through the door. The instant she entered, she withdrew her mental energy. Then, the door slammed shut again.
Gu Xi didn't turn around, nor did she want to.
Behind the door was a long corridor, nothing special about it. If anything, it was the carpet under her feet.
Carpets are usually found in ultra-luxury buildings. Of course, this is just based on her experience on Mercury; she doesn't know if it applies to this world.
The corridor is about 4 meters wide. The surrounding space remains a distorted expanse, with a clear sign that reads, "Don't touch me."
Gu Xi cautiously moved forward while looking around.
After walking for about 5 minutes, she finally arrived at a large hall.
The lobby was brightly lit, a stark contrast to the dimness of the previous corridor.
There was almost no decoration here; apart from a rather large box placed directly in front of the hall, it was completely empty.
Moreover, the box looked somewhat familiar to her; she was certain she had seen something similar in her experience.
Gu Xi moved forward carefully, quickly reviewing her own experience in her mind.
She stopped when she was about 3 meters away from the big box.
"Ah!" I remember now, it looks like a coffin!
Unconsciously, the image of a sea ghost floated into Gu Xi's mind. So, does this world really need coffins and such? There are already ghosts, what's the point of observing them?
Could there be a ghost lying in that coffin?
No, no, it could be a vampire fish. A sleeping vampire fish can be awakened by just a little blood.
Thinking of this, Gu Xi took a few steps back.
But... many things have burial goods, and the treasure map says there's treasure here. If it really is a vampire fish, she just wants the treasure and doesn't want to disturb the fish... right?
Thinking of this, Gu Xi took another step forward.
It took her several minutes to walk a mere 3 meters. Finally, after a series of internal debates and contradictions, she reached the box.
The boxes all had lids, so Gu Xi pushed the lid open.
Boxes always contain things, so Gu Xi opened her eyes and looked at the contents of the box.
Upon seeing the item, Gu Xi slammed the door shut again.
She looked up, trying to recall what she had just seen.

There was a fish lying inside (Gu Xi guessed), but it wasn't the vampire fish that Gu Xi thought it was.
Because he didn't have sharp teeth, nor black hair; his hair was ice blue, and his eyes were a different color because they were closed.
This was the most human-like fish Gu Xi had ever seen since coming to this world. If it weren't for the ice-blue scales under its ears, she would have thought it was Sleeping Beauty.
