Chapter 344 The Sea Ghost's Ambition (1/2)

Three days later, Gu Xi used the invitation letter You Yin had given him to teleport directly to the Sea Ghost's office area.

Upon arriving at the office area, the scene before her was completely different from what she had imagined. Contrary to her expectations, it was spacious and bright.

The surrounding walls weren't cold rock, but some kind of translucent material, vaguely revealing the silhouettes of schools of fish swimming behind them. Above, a huge, shell-shaped object emitted a gentle white light. The ground was covered with tiny shell fragments and coral pieces, making a soft "rustling" sound when stepped on.

The sea ghosts were busy in the hall. Upon seeing the arrival of the deep-sea creatures, they all curiously floated over.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The sea ghost looked at her curiously, wondering how she got here, since this wasn't an area open to the public.

Gu Xi took out the invitation. "I'm looking for You Yin."

The Sea Ghost staff member took the invitation, examined it carefully, and then led her to the Ghost Yin office.

Gu Xi walked into You Yin's office, where You Yin was engrossed in working on a pile of documents with a whiteboard.

Hearing the noise, You Yin looked up and invited Gu Xi to sit down.

"You've arrived. I've gathered the opinions of various deep-sea creatures over the past few days, and the situation is much better than we expected."

You Yin handed a list to Gu Xi, saying, "Currently, more than fifty deep-sea tribes have expressed their willingness to participate in the exhibition and sales event, and this number is still rising."

Gu Xi took the list, quickly glanced through it, and a happy smile appeared on her face.

“This is wonderful!” she said sincerely.

Gu Xi glanced to the side and noticed that You Yin was emitting a faint green light. A thought struck her, and she realized that it must have something to say.

"Youyin, is there anything else you want to tell me?" Gu Xi stared at it, his gaze sharp.

Youyin's body trembled slightly, its previously fluid movements coming to a halt. It raised its head, and the green light within its translucent body shimmered even more brightly.

“You are truly perceptive.” You Yin’s tone carried a hint of admiration, but also a subtle tension. “I do have another idea, and I would like to hear your opinion.”

It paused, organizing its thoughts.

"This exhibition and sales event has been very well received. I'm thinking about whether we can take this opportunity to make the Future a... a special place."

You Yin carefully observed Gu Xi's expression before continuing.

"As you know, the sea is fraught with danger, and many deep-sea creatures suffer from the lack of safe havens."

"The Future is spacious and well-defended. If it could serve as a temporary shelter during storms, while also providing some entertainment and leisure activities, wouldn't that be a win-win situation?"

"We can charge a certain fee to maintain the operation of the Future, while also providing a safe and comfortable environment for the deep-sea creatures."

Youyin's eyes gleamed with anticipation; it hoped that Gu Xi would approve of its idea.

Gu Xi frowned slightly, lost in thought. You Yin's idea wasn't entirely unreasonable; in fact, it could be described as quite business-savvy. However, she also had her own considerations.

Putting aside her lack of interest in business, the family of sea creatures on the ship didn't seem very willing to interact with the deep-sea creatures.

She shook her head seriously.

"This idea is not feasible at the moment. I have no intention of running such a shelter in the long term."

Gu Xi's tone was calm, yet carried an undeniable firmness.

A hint of disappointment flashed in Youyin's eyes, but it quickly composed itself.

"I understand, I was thinking too simply."
