Chapter 355 Nothing Left (1/2)

The Future cut through the waves and finally arrived at its target sea area.

The flames of Flamescale and the ice of Ais still intertwine here, forming a natural barrier that isolates this sea area from the outside world.

The once clear sea is now shrouded in an eerie mist.

The fog was so thick it was like ink that couldn't be dissolved; visibility was so low it was heart-stopping.

On the sea, scattered pieces of broken planks and ship debris floated, appearing and disappearing in the thick fog, like silent ghosts.

A faint smell of blood permeated the air. Although not strong, it was enough to send chills down one's spine. The smell seemed to come from the depths of the sea, carrying the aura of death.

What's even more bizarre is that, apart from the wrecked shipwrecks, there wasn't a single corpse in this area, not even a severed limb.

"Ais, can you feel it?"

Gu Xi's expression turned solemn; she sensed a familiar presence.

Luhmann stood to the side, her palms sweating with nervousness, but she knew it wasn't the time for her to speak.

"Puru~ It's Tar's mental power."

Ai Si's voice echoed in Gu Xi's mind, carrying a hint of solemnity.

"Pfft! This piece of trash, all he knows is how to cause trouble!" Flame Scale lashed its tail in anger, the blue-purple flames crackling in the air and dispersing some of the surrounding mist. "I'll go down and take a look!"

Gu Xi nodded and instructed, "Be careful, come up immediately if anything seems wrong."

"Don't worry!" Flame Scale plunged into the sea, the flames behind him drawing a brilliant trail in the water before quickly disappearing beneath the thick fog covering the surface.

The seawater was icy cold, but it felt like home to Flamescale.

It nimbly traversed the water, its blue-purple flames illuminating the surrounding sea.

Soon, he discovered even more and more sunken ship debris than what was visible on the surface of the sea, and it was in a much worse state. These fragments were covered with scratches and impact marks, clearly indicating how fierce the previous battle had been.

Besides the ship fragments, Flamescale also saw some scattered bones. These bones were so broken that their original shape was unrecognizable, and they could only be vaguely identified as the remains of some kind of creature.

Some tattered pieces of clothing were wrapped around the bones, drifting gently with the water, like the hem of a ghost's garment.

Besides that, there was nothing else. There were no corpses, no signs of any living creature; the sea was eerily silent.

"How is it?" Gu Xi's voice rang in Yan Lin's mind.

"Pfft! There's nothing here except some trash!" Flame Scale shook his head, gritting his teeth.

Gu Xi relayed Yan Lin's words to Lu Man and Ai Si, who were standing nearby.

Ais still had an expression of expectation, but Luman turned pale with fright.

Luman turned pale with fright, his lips trembling, his voice barely audible, tinged with barely suppressed terror: "Really...really there's nothing there?"

She paused, as if remembering something, then forced herself to say, "Corpses... there should be some, right..."

Her voice trailed off as she spoke, her eyes darting around, unable to meet Gu Xi's gaze.

Under Gu Xi's calm gaze, she finally couldn't say anything more, her face turned even paler, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

Gu Xi looked at her silently, his gaze deep, as if he could see into people's hearts.

Only when Luman's complexion had improved slightly and his breathing had gradually calmed down did Gu Xi speak slowly, his voice low and powerful.
