Chapter 403 Arrival (2/2)

Ais listened silently, her eyes still warily fixed on the cowgrass not far away.

Gu Xi noticed Ai Si's expression and asked softly, "Ai Si, what are you still worried about?"

"Plop~" Ais shook her head and pointed in the direction of the cow grass.

Gu Xi followed Ai Si's gaze and saw that the vines of the cow grass were trembling slightly, and the leaves at its tips were curled up slightly, as if it was trying its best to suppress some kind of emotion, as if it was trying its best to hide something.

Gu Xi nodded. "Just be careful. We need to hurry while there's no disaster!"

"Great!" the fish responded in unison, busily getting to work.

The Mirai continued its voyage, the sea shimmering and the sunlight gently bathing the deck.

Gu Xi stood at the bow of the ship, looking at the calm sea, but a tension remained in her heart.

“We’ve arrived,” Niu Niu Cao suddenly said.

Gu Xi followed Niu Niu Cao's gaze and saw that the sea was calm, without even a wave. If it weren't for its vines trembling wildly, she would have wondered if she had gone to the wrong place.

"Is this the location of the ruins?" Flame Scale leaned closer, probing downwards with his spiritual power. "Pfft? Why is there nothing here?"

"Don't worry," Gu Xi gestured for it to calm down. "It might be interference from Tal's mental energy. After all, Niu Niu Cao's detection methods are different from ours."

Ais has developed a method to reduce the interference of Tar's mental energy. He took out the Ice Shield Sword, used it to filter his mental energy, and then probed underwater.

Ais closed his eyes and spread his mental energy in all directions. After a while, he opened his eyes and pointed towards the seabed.

"Plop plop~ There really is a building."

"It's down there." Flame Scale leaned over the ship's railing and looked down. "Is it deep?"

The Abyssal Algae Beast lazily shook off the seaweed on its body. "This depth is nothing to us."

Gu Xi nodded. "Now that we've located the spot, let's go down and take a look." She turned to Niu Niu Cao. "Do you want to come down with us?"

The vines of the cowgrass swayed gently, seemingly expressing a negative sentiment.

“Alright,” Gu Xi said. “You stay on the ship and keep watch for us. If you find anything unusual, contact us immediately using your mental powers.”

The vines of the cowgrass swayed gently, asking with a hint of probing, "Are you really so comfortable letting me stay on the ship? What if I run away with the Future?"

Gu Xi chuckled upon hearing this, "First, if you wanted to run, you would have run long ago, you wouldn't have waited until now. Second,"

She pointed to Ais and Flamescale, "Although my mental detection range is not as good as Ais's, it is enough to pinpoint the Future's location. Moreover, with Ais's abilities, even if you really sail the ship to the other side of the abyss, we can catch up quickly."

She paused, then looked calmly at the cowgrass.

"Most importantly, you know the dangers of these waters better than I do. Sailing here alone in a boat is not a wise choice. Besides, you also want us to get clues about Tal, don't you?"

There was an even more important piece of information she didn't mention: the Future belonged to her, the entire control panel was in her possession, and she had complete control over the Future at any time.

The vines of the cowgrass trembled slightly, seemingly surprised by Gu Xi's insight, but quickly returned to calm.

“Let’s go,” Gu Xi said to Ai Si and Yan Lin, “Let’s go down and take a look.”

The octopus sensibly offered her a small travel bag, which Gu Xi put in her backpack. Since the dangers were unknown, she left the other fish on the boat.

At this moment, Ais was already standing at the bow of the ship, indicating that everything was ready.

"Whoosh! Wait for me!" Yan Lin quickly followed, his voice still carrying a hint of nervousness, but he still mustered his courage.

Gu Xi glanced one last time at the calm sea, took a deep breath, and said, "Let's go." (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
