Chapter 404 Virus Research Institute (1) (1/2)

Considering the dangers of this abyss, Gu Xi asked Ai Si to make a transparent ice ball. In this way, they could use the ice ball's defensive capabilities without affecting their vision.

At Gu Xi's request, Ai Si immediately made a large ice hockey puck.

Flame Scale's eyes lit up and it darted inside.

"Why isn't this ice ball cold?" Flame Scale touched the inside of the ice ball and looked at Ais with a puzzled expression. "Weren't the ice you made always freezing cold?"

Ais glanced at it, said nothing, and after a long while said, "Now you can adjust the internal temperature."

"Wow!" Yan Lin exclaimed in surprise, her mouth agape. "So you can improve too? I thought none of you SSS-class players could improve."

"Pfft!" Ais let out a dissatisfied sound. "Is that not allowed?"

"Pfft~ Of course I can improve!" Flame Scale wagged its tail quickly. "I just think you look so calm, like you can do everything."

"I'm good at everything."

"You're lying!" Flamescale immediately bristled. "I often see you sneaking around reading and studying at night! You must have learned that from Tal!"

“I did nothing underhanded or secretive.”

"Alright, stop joking around." Gu Xi gently tapped Yan Lin's head. "Let's prepare to dive."

"Pfft... I got it." Flame Scale muttered, but still couldn't help making a face at Ais.

Ais simply snorted and focused on maintaining the ice puck's state, as if she didn't take Flamescale's words to heart at all.

This made Yanlin even rage-quickly flick its tail, but it didn't dare to really cause trouble in front of Gu Xi.

Gu Xi was the last to enter the ice hockey puck, and then gave the instructions.

"Ais, reinforce the defenses. Flamescale, be aware of the surroundings."

"Whoosh! I've got this covered!" Flame Scale shouted excitedly, blue-purple flames moving around the ice ball.

Gu Xi maneuvered the ice puck to slowly sink into the sea, moving towards the depths.

The seawater grew darker and the pressure increased, but Ais's ice puck remained motionless, without even a crack appearing.

"Something's wrong." Ais suddenly warned, and immediately covered the surface of the ice puck with a layer of fine ice crystals to isolate it from external mental energy fluctuations.

"It seems the situation in the abyss is more complicated than we imagined," Gu Xi said, narrowing his eyes.

Suddenly a dark shadow flashed by, and Gu Xi instinctively warned, "Watch out!"

As soon as she finished her warning, a dark shadow crashed into the barrier with a muffled thud, then dissipated like smoke.

"Pfft! What's that?" Flame Scale asked nervously.

Ais: "It's like some kind of spiritual energy condensation."

Gu Xi carefully observed his surroundings. "The spiritual energy here is very abnormal; it seems to have been contaminated by something."

Just then, more dark figures emerged from the depths of the ruins, twisting and deforming in the water, and surrounded them.

The deep-sea creatures that had been swimming around the ruins stopped moving, their scarlet eyes fixed on them.

"Whoosh! They're coming!" Flame Scale's body burst into blue-purple flames.

"Don't linger in the fight." Gu Xi manipulated the spikes to form a defensive formation around them. "Find the right moment to charge in!"

A dark shadow suddenly attacked from the side, and Flame Scale immediately spewed out a burst of flames, shattering it.

Ais responded, and instantly, countless ice spikes condensed on the surface of the ice puck. These suddenly growing ice spikes pierced through the approaching dark figure.

The shadowy figure pierced by the ice spikes instantly froze into ice, then shattered into countless tiny ice crystals, sinking into the seawater.
