27. Aggressive Herb Gathering, Unlocked from the Herb Book
The Starflower and Dragon's Blood Root are located close to each other, right where she cut down the fruit trees yesterday. Further into the woods, there is another herb called Bitter Grass.
Gu Xi had already traversed the path leading to the woods on the raft, so she quickened her pace considerably.
"It should be around here." Gu Xi took out the island resource map, checked the location again, and after confirming that it was correct, put away the map and prepared to pick the fruit.
There were several kinds of flowers at her feet: one white, one blue, and one yellow. Gu Xi picked several flowers one by one, and finally discovered that the blue one was the starflower.

The game prompts were slower than usual today. Gu Xi rolled her eyes inwardly, squatted down, and prepared to ruthlessly destroy the flower.
Harvesting starflowers is much slower than harvesting honeysuckle leaves and small stalk leaves. With leafy medicinal herbs, any single leaf can be used as medicine, but starflowers are harvested by their flowers; each plant only has one flower. Furthermore, the flowers are spaced quite far apart, thanks to the other two colors of flowers.

A minute passed, and Gu Xi looked at her backpack. She had only picked four flowers, which was incredibly slow.
But considering the value of the life-saving potion, she knew she wouldn't give up. So she continued to work diligently.

Gu Xi thought back for a moment and then realized something. "Could it be because I picked flowers today? Are the flowers the seeds of this medicinal herb?"
Gu Xi knew that guessing was useless, so she decided to try different harvesting methods at Xiaohuye and Jinyinye later to see if she could get the seeds.
Knowing that the Starflower could produce seeds made Gu Xi feel much more relaxed. As long as it could be planted, everything was fine; it was just a matter of spending more time.
An hour later, Gu Xi's backpack was piled high with 250 starflowers and more than 80 flower seeds. Satisfied, she moved on to the Dragon Blood Root location.
Dragon's Blood Root is a parasitic plant that twines around trees to grow. If the game hadn't shown the plant's name, Gu Xi would have thought that Dragon's Blood Root was a root buried in the soil.
But even though it grows around the tree, it's not easy to deal with because the dragon's blood root is really thick, thicker than her finger.
Gu Xi tried to pull it with her hands, but she couldn't budge it, so she had to take out an axe and chop it down with her hands.
Who knew that as soon as I chopped it down, the logging progress bar appeared, and the dragon blood root was completely unharmed.
Gu Xi had already chopped the first axe blow, so there was no way she would give up. So she simply went all the way down, and with a few loud thuds, the tree collapsed and turned into timber, from which items fell.

Having figured out how to collect dragon's blood root, Gu Xi grumbled and vented his frustration on the tree as he continued chopping wood.
