Chapter 681 How to open treasure chests without fighting the BOSS?

Seeing the rampaging Yeti Nunu charging towards them, Ying Huo shouted, "Oh no! They're here! Be careful, Chen Ping, or I'll have to come save you!"

Upon hearing this, Chen Ping laughed and said, "Don't worry, I'm very strong."

Ying Huo: "Hmph, I hope so. I'll go first then."

After saying that, Ying Huo gripped her spear and charged toward Nunu, the furious snowman closest to her. She thrust the spear forward and hit her target instantly. Then, using the momentum, Ying Huo leaped into the air.

Chen Ping couldn't help but glance over. Luckily, Ying Huo wasn't wearing a skirt, or she would have been exposed.

The raging snowmen, relying on their numerical advantage, attempted to overwhelm the two with a tidal wave of attacks.

A massive yeti roared and charged at Chen Ping, attempting to overpower him with brute force. Seeing this, Chen Ping dodged to the side, skillfully avoiding the yeti's direct attack. Simultaneously, he used his illusion to transform into a short sword, leaving a deep gash on the yeti's thick leg. The yeti howled in pain, lost its balance, and crashed to the ground, triggering a series of chaotic events.

At the same time, facing the attack of three medium-sized snowmen, Ying Huo wielded her spear, the spear shadows like dragons, each swing precisely blocking the snowmen's attacks, and counterattacking in the gaps, the spear tip flashing with a cold light, striking the snowmen's vital points.

Her movements were fluid and powerful, and every strike demonstrated her profound martial arts skills.

As the battle intensified, Ying Huo gradually adapted to the snowmen's attack patterns. Employing positional warfare tactics, she single-handedly defended a corner, her spears forming a forest, repelling any snowmen that dared to approach.

As for Chen Ping, he used his speed advantage to weave through the snowmen and launch swift and deadly attacks. His short sword was like two dragons on the ice, constantly darting between the snowmen and leaving behind a series of silver dances of death.

On the snow, the traces of battle became increasingly clear; snow and blood mingled, creating a gruesome scene. Despite their ferocity, the raging snowmen were gradually losing ground thanks to the coordinated efforts of Chen Ping and Ying Huo. They began to realize that their prey was not an easily captured weakling.

Finally, after rounds of fierce battles, the remaining snowmen began to show signs of fatigue and fear, and the balance of the battle completely shifted. A clever snowman seemed to realize something and gave a low command. The other snowmen stopped attacking and slowly retreated with their wounded companions, disappearing into the vast snowfield.

The snowman corpses were left scattered all over the ground.

......

After catching her breath, Ying Huo looked up at Chen Ping and laughed, "Oh my, I didn't expect you to be so skilled, Chen Ping. You're quite adept at using this short sword."

Upon hearing this, Chen Ping laughed and said, "Isn't that obvious? Now, how about we follow them and take a look? Maybe there are treasure chests or something inside the Berserker Yeti's lair?"

Upon hearing this, Ying Huo glanced at the corpses of the rampaging snowmen scattered on the ground, then nodded and said, "Yes, Chen Ping, you're right. Let's follow them and see. I've already obtained the Frost Heart, but you haven't gotten your treasure yet."

Following the tracks left by the raging yeti, the two cautiously ventured deeper into the unknown territory. As time passed, the surrounding environment became increasingly treacherous, with icicles hanging from the ice walls and thick snow beneath their feet. Every step required careful consideration to avoid making a sound that might disturb the creatures ahead.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the entrance of a hidden ice cave. A faint blue light emanated from inside, and they could vaguely hear low humming sounds coming from within, clearly indicating that the Blizzard people were resting or healing.

Chen Ping gestured for silence, indicating that Ying Huo should tread lightly. He slowly drew his sword, his movements so gentle they were almost silent. The two exchanged a knowing glance and decided to investigate. They pressed themselves against the cave wall, slowly venturing deeper, trying not to disturb the inhabitants inside.

The cave was spacious, with an open area in the center and the surrounding area decorated with naturally formed ice sculptures that resembled a palace, radiating a ghostly blue glow. In this bizarre and fantastical environment, the raging snowmen gathered in twos and threes, some licking their wounds, others closing their eyes to rest, seemingly recovering their strength.

Chen Ping and Ying Huo observed the area for a while and were somewhat surprised to find that there were no obvious security measures. Chen Ping said to Ying Huo in a low voice, "It seems that they are quite confident in their territory and believe that no one can break into this place. However, we cannot be careless."

They decided to split up. Chen Ping was responsible for exploring the depths of the cave for any potential treasure chests or other valuable items, while Ying Huo stayed on the perimeter to remain vigilant and be ready to respond to any emergencies.

Chen Ping tiptoed deeper into the cave, using shadows and icicles as cover, gradually approaching its depths.

In an inconspicuous corner, Chen Ping discovered a frozen stone platform. On the platform, a treasure chest emitting a faint blue light lay quietly, surrounded by intricate ice sculptures, seemingly concealing some ancient seal.

A thought struck him: this might be another major discovery on their trip.

Just as he was about to open the treasure chest, a deep roar suddenly came from the depths of the cave, accompanied by a slight tremor, as if some powerful being had been awakened. Chen Ping couldn't help but frown. The aura that had flashed by just now seemed to be at the peak of the God King realm?

He quickly informed Ying Huo, and the two decided to retreat immediately.

After they quietly withdrew and moved away from the cave, a huge shadow slowly rose from the depths of the ice cave, and a pair of red-glowing eyes flickered in the darkness, seemingly warning the uninvited guests that there were more unknowns and dangers waiting for them in this frozen world.

......

Outside Nunu's cave, Ying Huo looked at Chen Ping with a puzzled expression and asked, "Chen Ping, what did you find inside? Are there any treasure chests?"

Chen Ping looked at the puzzled Ying Huo and explained, "A treasure chest? I did see it, and it looks even more magnificent than the one at the Ice Lake."

Upon hearing this, Ying Huo immediately said happily, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go open the treasure chest now! What are we going to do here? Hmm, is there a BOSS inside?"

Seeing this, Chen Ping helplessly rubbed her head and said, "The BOSS should also be there, but we withdrew before the BOSS appeared."

Ying Huo: "Hmm? It's good that the BOSS has appeared, otherwise how can we fight it? If we don't fight the BOSS, how can we open the treasure chest? Let's go, let's go, let's go back and fight the BOSS now!"

Chen Ping shook his head and said, "No, I'm hungry. Let's talk about it after I've eaten."

Upon hearing this, Ying Huo couldn't help but rub her stomach; she also felt a little hungry.
