Chapter 6 The Little Painter of Bonito Flower Faints TAT
After class.
Akina Amane began packing her things.
She remembered that she was going to watch the volleyball team after school, so she carefully packed her drawing board and pens into her bag and prepared to go to the volleyball team.
Just as she stepped out of the classroom, two figures approached. They were Gong Zhi and Gong You, who were not in the same class but had arrived at the same time.
They glared at each other.
"Tian Sui, come quick, I'll take you to the volleyball club," Gong You said.
"Just follow us, we'll take you into the volleyball club." This was Miyaji.
Akina blinked, surprised that the two of them would still come looking for her after school.
They were allowed to go to the volleyball club to watch, and they could have found other models. Did they really need to be so... dedicated?
Or are they all vying to have me draw their work? Are my own drawings really that sought after?
Akina didn't understand this, but she chose to respect it and didn't ask.
She secretly decided that when Gong You was invited to be a model later, she would give him a couple more photos.
Akina Amaho nodded and followed them toward the volleyball club.
"Even without someone to show me the way, I know where the volleyball club is."
After thinking it over, it couldn't possibly be because she might not know the way.
"I know, I'm just worried that you won't be able to get into the volleyball court because no one will be there to guide you." Miyaji shrugged.
He knew, of course, that Amaho Akina knew the way, but he also guessed that Miyako would come.
Actually, it wouldn't have been a problem if he hadn't come over—but Miyaji didn't want to leave Miyayu alone with Amaho Akina, though he couldn't explain the specific reason.
That statement is just a lie; no one would stop Akina Amaho from visiting the volleyball stadium.
"Ah, I just wanted to find Amaho, so I came straight here." Miyako was puzzled, and he stared straight at Amaho Akina again.
He rushed over immediately to be on guard against others; he didn't want to get caught up in the excitement only to be confronted with the devastating news that the painting didn't belong to him.
The repeated failures to fulfill his wishes only fueled Gong You's obsession.
This time, Akina Amazuki completely understood the meaning behind his words; she probably meant that she wanted to show him the painting as soon as possible.
Hmm, maybe her paintings act like a stimulant for him, otherwise Akina Amaho wouldn't understand why he would be so excited.
She simply nodded to indicate that she understood, and Gong You turned his face away excitedly.
Gong Zhi glanced at them and gave a soft snort.
After all, they were twins sharing the same DNA, and he could tell what Gong You was thinking just by looking at him.
Before they knew it, the two of them were walking beside Amamiya, one on each side, but they maintained a normal social distance, so Amamiya didn't feel uncomfortable at all.
The three of them walking together felt a little awkward, because they weren't particularly familiar with each other and didn't have any other topics to talk about for a while.
Akina Amane clearly noticed that the atmosphere had become awkward.
She was racking her brains trying to think of a suitable topic to improve the current atmosphere.
"Speaking of which, the volleyball club is having a practice match today. I bet Amaho will watch it closely, right?"
While she was still struggling with her decision, Gong You suddenly spoke up.
Actually, when she was looking down in thought, Miyaji gave Miyayu a look, signaling him to find a topic to talk about.
Although he didn't understand why he was the one to do this, Gong You thought about it for a moment and the topic came to mind.
Miyaji silently turned his head away. As expected, relying on Miyayu was a mistake. The only thing that came to mind for him was volleyball.
"Of course, I will use the scene of this match as valuable material." As soon as she heard about the training match, Akina Amamiya perked up immediately.
She even regretted not bringing her camera equipment today, so she could have recorded the valuable footage and then observed the dynamic situation frame by frame.
"When the time comes, Tian Sui, remember to look at me often and draw my most handsome self, preferably the one holding the ball." Gong You started daydreaming again.
He had already begun to imagine in his mind that all of Amaho Akina's paintings featured him alone, and that they all depicted his handsome figure in various ways that would make people admire him at first glance.
Thinking about this, he started chuckling, clearly lost in his own world.
Miyaji glanced at him speechlessly: "Tenho-kun, we don't need to pay attention to him. Let's just go to the volleyball club."
Amane Akina nodded blankly, then quickened her pace to follow Miyaji, feeling both confused and impressed.
When Gong You came to his senses, he realized that he had fallen behind the two people in front of him, and angrily chased after them.
"Hey, why did you leave me all alone?! I want to go with you guys too!" Miya Yu stood next to Amaho Akina once again.
Akina Amaho deliberately slowed down her pace a little, waiting for Yuu Miyako to catch up, while Jiro Miyako quickened his pace and walked ahead.
After this little incident, the somewhat tense atmosphere eased considerably, but they had already arrived at the entrance of the volleyball stadium.
Miyaji opened the door and went in first, followed closely by Amaho Akina, who looked nervous but was still looking around, observing the situation inside the gymnasium.
Finally, there's Gong You, who's still sulking.
I was already a little unhappy because of the painting at noon, feeling that these two people didn't even notice my strong presence there, and now I was deliberately left behind.
That's why he was much more energetic during training today. Compared to usual, Gong You looked full of energy today and kept shouting "One more ball!"
Not only that, his ball-handling movements became much faster, to the point that his teammates could hardly keep up with his movements.
"Hey, what's wrong with you guys? How come you can't even catch my ball properly?" He was still yelling, and the others' faces were contorted with rage.
Ooshiro Aran: "What's wrong with him today?"
He pointed at Gong You.
Gong Zhi: "I don't know, it's probably another attack."
Although he could tell at a glance that this was meant for Akina Amami.
Miyako felt that he was in exceptionally good form today—he was confident that his performance would be recorded by Amaho Akina.
He was even looking forward to sneaking over to take a look at Amaho Akina's manuscript after training.
Thinking this, he looked up and shouted at Miyaji, "Hey, pass me the next ball."
Gong Zhi clicked his tongue lightly.
Akina Amane remained squatting in the corner of the volleyball court, occasionally glancing up at the center of the court.
Indeed, Gong You, leaping through the air, looked dazzling, making her heart pound. She couldn't help but focus her gaze on the rapidly passing figure on the manuscript paper.
Whether she was running on the ground or occasionally jumping up to smash the volleyball in her hand, it was as if a gust of wind was blowing by, gently tugging at her heartstrings.
Not just this one, but the next one, and the one after that. Before we knew it, we had indeed drawn several more pictures of him, just as Gong You had said.
Akina Amazu breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that she had gained a lot from observing today. Before she knew it, she had drawn four or five sketches. Of course, three of them were of Yu Miyako, and of the remaining two, one was of Osamu Miyako, and the other was of Shinsuke Kita, whom she had inadvertently observed.
Besides, there are other people on the field who also need to be considered... Thinking this, Akina Amane realized that she seemed to be a little hungry and her limbs were almost out of strength.
Because she has never liked exercise, Akina Amami's physical strength is actually not very good.
But she stubbornly believed she could hold on a little longer, that she couldn't miss this moment, and that she should at least paint one more picture—
Just as she put pen to paper and sketched the running figure, she collapsed to the ground.
The sound of her falling to the ground was still quite clear. The first person to notice that Akina Ama had suddenly collapsed was Shinsuke Kita. He frowned and quickly walked towards the corner of the wall.
Miyako, who had just finished his match, also heard the sound. He turned around and found that Amaho Akina had fallen to the ground. He immediately ran in that direction.
Miyaji frowned and moved closer to Amaho Akina.
Akina Amaho's lips were pale, and she seemed to be frowning. She was still holding a pen in her hand and tightly gripping the drawing board.
Gong You glanced up and immediately recognized the figure being drawn as his.
For a moment, a mix of emotions surfaced in my mind: half joy, half worry, and perhaps a little regret.
If I had known... if I had known, I wouldn't have told Amaho Akina. I would have definitely drawn more pictures for her.
"Senior Kita, I'll take Amiho to the infirmary to check on her first." While Miyako was still in a daze, Miyaji had already picked up Amiho Akina and was walking towards the entrance of the volleyball hall.
Kita Shinsuke nodded, tacitly agreeing that Miyaji had left at this point.
"Wait, I want to go check on her too. By the way, why are you taking her?" Gong You quickly followed Gong Zhi's footsteps.
"Otherwise, would you just stand there in a daze?" Miyaji's eyebrows twitched. He really didn't want to admit that this guy who had just suddenly acted stupid was his twin brother.
Anyone with eyes could see that the more important thing just now was to take Amaho Mina to the infirmary.
"But she fainted because of me, right? I'm the one who should have taken her to the infirmary." Gong You was still thinking about the manuscript paper that Tian Sui Ming Nai was holding in her hand. Before Tian Sui Ming Nai fainted, he was the one drawing.
When Miyaji picked her up, he had already taken the drawing board and pen from her hands.
"So you know she fainted because she was drawing you?" Miyaji snorted coldly and quickened his pace.
Gong You fell silent, following behind Gong Zhi with her head slightly lowered.
He felt that it wasn't right for Miyaji to keep holding Amaho Akina, but he couldn't just rush up and take her away. He could only regret that he hadn't rushed over and picked her up when he found Amaho Akina had fainted.
Of course, Akina's condition is more important right now, and he has no intention of arguing with Miyaji any longer.
Fortunately, Miyaji was no longer in the mood to talk to him.
The two walked into the infirmary one after the other. Gong You looked nervous, while Gong Zhi's expression was okay, but his hands, which were in his pockets, were still clenched tightly.
The doctor checked on Akina Amamiya's condition and said, "It's alright, she just has low blood sugar. It's almost dinnertime now, isn't it? Just let her replenish her energy, she should wake up in a little while."
The two breathed a sigh of relief simultaneously, then looked at each other, feeling inexplicably guilty as they recalled the two rice balls they had shared at noon.
