"And then?" Qin Yang asked, trying to keep his tone calm.

“He…he didn’t believe me…and said…I…to call you…over…otherwise…he wouldn’t let me leave…” Li Shanshan said, tears streaming down her face.

She looked up at Qin Yang, her eyes filled with fear and helplessness.

"I...I really...had no other choice...that's why I called you..." Li Shanshan's voice trembled, choked with sobs.

Looking at Li Shanshan's red eyes, Qin Yang felt a surge of anger.

Qin Yang's gaze passed over Li Shanshan and looked towards the distance.

A few meters away from them stood several young men, dressed in a sleazy manner, clearly not respectable people.

They gathered in twos and threes, smoking, their eyes occasionally glancing at Li Shanshan with a hint of ill intent.

Qin Yang felt a chill run down his spine; it seemed these were the people Li Shanshan had mentioned.

He turned his gaze to Li Shanshan and asked, "How many of them are there?"

“Four…five…” Li Shanshan’s voice trembled slightly.

Qin Yang nodded, already having made up his mind.

He helped Li Shanshan up and said softly, "Come on, let's go inside."

"Huh?" Li Shanshan was taken aback, clearly not expecting Qin Yang to say that.

“Go in? But…they…” Li Shanshan hesitated, her eyes filled with fear.

"It's alright, I'm here, don't be afraid," Qin Yang reassured him again.

His tone was firm, and his eyes were full of confidence.
