Chapter 11 A Gentleman of Deep Affection



Qin Su noted down the location and then left the courtyard.

She knocked on the gate of the courtyard not far away.

"Who is the young lady looking for?" The doorman glanced at Qin Su, noticing her refined demeanor and the fact that her clothes were among the most popular and luxurious styles in the capital, and dared not be negligent.

"I'd like to ask you for some information, young man." She handed over a handful of gold leaves.

The doorman came out himself, closed the gate, and took the gold leaf. "Please ask me anything, young lady. I will answer all your questions to the best of my ability."

"Does the young man know anything about that family?" Qin Su asked, pointing to the house where Kang Lin was.

“I know a little. They moved here three years ago. The lady of the house is easy to talk to, and the children are well-behaved. But I don’t know what her husband does, he’s rarely seen.”

"Are they a couple?" Qin Su asked again.

The doorman nodded. "They are very much in love. They have been married for many years and their relationship is still very good."

"Thank you, sir. Please keep this a secret for me." She then handed the doorman a rather large gold ingot.

Qin Su followed the same method and asked the doormen at several other households, getting the exact same result.

If she were to tell Princess Cheng'an this news, it would be a good favor.

Qin Su's relationship with the noble ladies in the capital in her previous life was not good, but she had a good network of connections when it came to getting things done.

With that in mind, Qin Su decided to go back and send an invitation to Princess Cheng'an.

A low-key and unassuming carriage was parked under the banyan tree outside the Marquis of Zhongyi's mansion. It looked inconspicuous, and Qin Su didn't even notice it when she returned.

It wasn't until the person in the carriage lifted the curtain that she realized it was an old acquaintance.

That person possessed a soft, boneless hand, like solidified white jade, with fingertips that were white with a hint of pink, extremely beautiful.

Qin Su couldn't move her feet; she hid in the shadows, staring intently at the carriage.
