Chapter 73 Unworthy to be a Father

Inside the room, there was a man whose entire body was covered in dirt and grime.

The wound was torn open by a sharp, claw-like object, there was a ligature mark on the neck, the eyes were bulging out, and the tongue was sticking out and hanging from the chin, making it look sinister and terrifying.

Rong Yan felt his internal organs churning, and he leaned against a nearby tree, vomiting incessantly.

Su Lenghe remained calm, her eyes cold and clear.

Despite feeling extremely nauseous, Liang Xun stepped forward to check, and his pupils suddenly dilated.

"This...isn't this the hotel owner?"

The hotel owner's name is Weng Zhong. He was drinking in the neighboring county when he received a call from the police that a body had been found in his home, so he rushed back immediately.

Unexpectedly, he died tragically at his own doorstep before even entering his home.

Upon confirming that Weng Zhong was dead, Liang Xun immediately reported it to the police station.

Rong Yan almost vomited his gall bladder. Looking at Su Lenghe's calm demeanor, he was full of admiration: "Master Su, you are really brave. You are not affected at all."

Liang Xun also said admiringly, "This is the first time I've seen someone so bold."

Whether male or female, anyone would be frightened upon seeing such a scene for the first time. Even Liang Xun, who saw a murder scene for the first time, couldn't eat a single bite of food for three days.

Moreover, Su Lenghe's expression remained calm and composed, which was truly admirable.

For Su Lenghe, these were all minor incidents. In her previous life, when she was catching ghosts, she had seen all kinds of ghosts.

Some had their hearts and livers ripped out, some had their intestines pulled out and strangled, some were cut in half at the waist, some were subjected to slow slicing...

The smell of blood in the air made Rong Yan feel dizzy again, and he felt like he was going to vomit his internal organs.

Su Lenghe made a breathing-blocking gesture, then pointed with both hands at Rong Yan.

Rong Yan felt the air instantly become fresher, and he felt refreshed.

As his muddled mind gradually cleared, Rong Yan asked in a low voice, "Master Su, who was so cruel as to kill someone like this?"

Su Lenghe said coldly, "Every wrong has its perpetrator, and every debt its debtor; naturally, it is the one who is collecting the debt."

Rong Yan didn't understand, but Liang Xun did: "This man was a notorious gambler in our area. He was killed by his creditors?"

Su Lenghe shook her head and then nodded: "He is a creditor, but not a person."

Liang Xun didn't understand, but Rong Yan understood half of it: "Could it be another paranormal event?"

Su Lenghe gave him a look that said, "Not bad."

Although Liang Xun knew about Su Lenghe's abilities, he was still skeptical about supernatural events.

The forensic doctor didn't arrive, but the bureau chief did. Next to the bureau chief was a young man dressed as a student, looking youthful and inexperienced.

The young man whispered a few words to the bureau chief, who nodded and then walked over to Liang Xun and said, "You don't need to be in charge here anymore. You're tired today, so go back and rest."

Liang Xun asked, puzzled, "Director, who did you hand it over to?"

The bureau chief remained tight-lipped: "You don't need to worry about that."

Seeing the bureau chief's unusual behavior, Liang Xun's eyes flashed with a hint of suspicion. Could it be that the bureau chief was related to this murder case?

If the bureau chief was indeed involved, Liang Xun would never bow to power.

He nodded and pretended to leave, then walked into the darkness, found cover, and secretly observed the movements on this side.

The young man walked over and extended his hand to Su Lenghe: "Hello, Miss Su, my name is Xie Tianlin. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Su Lenghe gently shook hands, nodded and smiled: "Su Lenghe, but this isn't our first meeting."

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Xie Tianlin's face: "Miss Su must be mistaken, we have never met."

Su Lenghe: "I've seen them, in the elevator of the apartment complex, and in the room next door."

Xie Tianlin gave an awkward smile: "What a coincidence."

Su Lenghe smiled slightly, and Xie Tianlin suddenly asked, "Miss Su, it seems you already have your own deductions about this matter?"

"It's just a vengeful spirit seeking revenge."

A hint of surprise flashed in Xie Tianlin's eyes: "You didn't even catch the murderer, yet you know?"

To solve cases, they need to catch the vengeful ghosts, interrogate them thoroughly, and then impose appropriate punishments based on the severity of their crimes.

"What's so difficult about that?" Su Lenghe waved her hand, and a woman dressed in a red wedding gown suddenly appeared before everyone's eyes.

Rong Yan and the bureau chief couldn't see it, but Xie Tianlin, having cultivated his Heavenly Eye, could see it all clearly.

Xie Tianlin grew up in a Taoist temple and began cultivating at a young age. He only recently mastered the Heavenly Eye, making him one of the best among his peers.

Unexpectedly, Su Lenghe, who looks so young, also has a third eye, and can see things that ordinary people cannot see without the help of external objects.

Moreover, summoning a vengeful ghost requires the blessing of a magic circle and talismans; it's impossible to do it so easily.

Xie Tianlin couldn't help but swallow hard. Su Lenghe was much stronger than he had imagined. He hoped she wouldn't be an enemy.

Rong Yan felt a chill run down his spine, and the temperature suddenly dropped. He looked around warily and asked in a low voice, "Has that thing appeared?"

The unknown is the most terrifying. He couldn't see it, but he always felt that it was everywhere.

Xie Tianlin handed over a white ceramic bottle: "This is cow tears. Apply it to your eyes and you'll see."

Curiosity piqued, Rong Yan wiped a tear onto his eyelid, opened his eyes, and his pupils suddenly dilated.

A female ghost dressed in a red wedding gown appeared before them.

"Ah!" Rong Yan let out a sharp scream, his heart pounding wildly.

Being too curious is not a good thing.

Seeing Rong Yan's appearance, the bureau chief was both frightened and curious. In the end, curiosity prevailed, and he also wiped cow tears onto his eyes.

"Ah!" A scream just like Rong Yan's.

Liang Xun, who was hiding in the shadows, couldn't resist. He jumped out from the shadows, snatched the cow tears from the bureau chief's hand, and wiped them on his eyelids.
