Su Lenghe said coldly, "Inside the roof."
Suddenly, the proprietress pointed at Su Lenghe's nose and started cursing: "You must be competitors sent by the shop next door. You're so young and yet so wicked. Get out!"
Rong Yan was getting anxious. He trusted that Master Su wouldn't make a mistake: "Master Su, where is the body?"
Su Lenghe didn't speak, her gaze fixed on the ceiling.
Without the slightest hesitation, Rong Yan moved a table from the room, lifted a stool with both hands, and smashed a large hole in the plaster ceiling with the back of the chair.
The proprietress then realized what was happening, rushed over, grabbed Rong Yan by the collar, and dragged him out: "You smashed my ceiling, now get out of here!"
Just as the two were struggling, the young policeman's eyes sharpened: "What's that?"
Everyone's attention was drawn to it. Rong Yan looked up and saw a black thing appear in the large hole.
He turned on his phone's flashlight, and upon closer inspection, his pupils dilated in shockâit was a claw made of white bone.
The proprietress's legs went weak, and she collapsed to the ground, clutching her head, her body trembling like a leaf: "I don't know anything."
Hidden in the ceiling was a corpse. Due to its age, it had been weathered away, leaving only a skeleton. She was wearing a red dress, which could be vaguely seen to be a red wedding gown.
There were also yellow talismans stuck to her body. The talismans looked very old, and they crumbled instantly when the young policeman touched them.
A body was found at the hotel, and the police immediately took the hotel owner into custody: "Please cooperate with our investigation."
The young policeman approached and said, "Sir, we need your cooperation in our investigation."
Rong Yan and Su Lenghe each gave a statement. The bureau chief looked at the two statements, his brows furrowed: "Do you believe this report, Liang Xun?"
They asked the two of them separately, and their answers were exactly the same, showing no flaws whatsoever.
Seeing the red-clad female ghost, nothing I say seems convincing.
Liang Xun, the young police officer handling the case today, felt that Su Lenghe looked familiar, as if he had seen her somewhere before. After thinking carefully, he finally remembered that Su Lenghe was the supernatural live streamer who had assisted the police in capturing a fugitive some time ago.
Su Lenghe picked up her cup and took a small sip. Rong Yan yawned and complained, "When can I get a good night's sleep?"
"We can leave soon."
As soon as he finished speaking, the bureau chief walked in and said respectfully, "So it's Master Su. Thank you all for your help today in solving a murder case."
Su Lenghe politely replied, "It was nothing, not worth mentioning."
Liang Xun volunteered: "Director, I'll take Master Su back."
The bureau chief said sternly, "Master Su must be delivered safely."
Liang Xun: "I guarantee I will complete the mission."
Su Lenghe nodded slightly: "We do need you."
They arrived at the police station in a police car, and then returned in the same police car.
While driving, Su Lenghe's gaze fell on a tree not far away, and Rong Yan asked curiously, "What's wrong?"
Su Lenghe looked away: "It's nothing."
A dark shadow flashed past behind the tree.
Back at the hotel, as soon as I stepped into the room, a strong smell of blood hit me.
Pushing open the door, even Liang Xun, who had witnessed countless murder scenes, felt a wave of nausea wash over him.
