As soon as Yi'an stepped through the door, she immediately regretted it.
"I suddenly remembered that there's an emergency at home, so I'd better go first."
He turned to leave, but the door slammed shut in front of him.
Su Yan pointed to the dining table and commanded, "Go over there and sit down."
Yi An deeply regretted her decision to come in; it was too hasty!
He gritted his teeth, turned around with the conviction that he was going to die, and saw Su Xiaoyu sitting obediently at the dining table.
"Xiaoyu? What are you doing here?"
Su Xiaoyu ignored him and continued eating.
As Yi'an watched her scoop up some soup with a spoon and put it in her mouth, she immediately cried out anxiously, "Xiaoyu, wait, wait!"
After finishing her soup, Su Xiaoyu turned back to look at him expressionlessly.
Yi An frowned, walked over slowly, and asked with concern, "Are you feeling unwell anywhere? Is your stomach feeling better?"
Su Xiaoyu glanced at him, jumped off the chair, and left.
Yi An stared at her retreating figure, shaking her head and sighing, "That child is ruthless!"
Su Yan came out with breakfast and heard this sentence, so she slammed the bowl down in front of him.
"He's far inferior to your father."
Yi An sensed her implication and quickly explained, "That's just how my mom is, you don't need to care about her. The purpose of our contractual marriage is just to deal with your ex-husband."
Su Yan pulled out a chair and sat down. "Focus on your food and don't talk."
Yi'an looked at the hot soup in front of her, torn between eating it or not.
His survival instincts made him look up. "How's your hand? Is it feeling better?"
Su Yan glanced at him and spat out two words through gritted teeth: "Eat."
Seeing that there was no way to avoid it, Yi An had no choice but to bite the bullet, pick up the spoon, scoop up a spoonful, and swallow it without daring to taste it.
"Mmm, it's delicious. I'm full. Thank you for the treat."
He wiped his mouth and tried to run away, but Su Yan grabbed him by the back of the neck and pulled him back.
"Finish eating."
Looking at her commanding expression as she pointed at the bowl, Yi'an inexplicably saw a shadow of Meng Jie.
He began to wonder if he had jumped from one fire pit into another.
He took a deep breath, steeled his resolve, and downed the bowl of soup in one gulp.
The hot soup flowed down my throat and into my stomach, instantly making me feel warm and comfortable.
Yi'an savored the lingering fragrance on her lips and teeth, and it didn't seem so bad anymore; it was even somewhat delicious.
"Your cooking doesn't seem so bad."
He blurted out what was on his mind.
He hurriedly covered his mouth, preparing to explain again, but Su Yan said without even looking up, "I was just teasing you last time."
Yi An was stunned. "Deliberately? On purpose?"
He picked up the empty bowl and shoved it in front of Su Yan.
"Another bowl, please."
Su Yan glanced at him, then quickly cleared away the dishes. "Sorry, we're closed."
Yi An: "They give us food, but they don't even give us enough to eat?"
Su Yan turned around and sneered, "Given the treatment I received yesterday, I'm already being fair by not turning you into soup."
When Yi An saw that look in her eyes, she felt a chill run down her spine, and instantly thought of the look in the eyes of a female praying mantis in the animal documentary.
"I'm not drinking anymore, I'm suddenly full."
He wandered over to Su Xiaoyu, watching her intently drawing, and praised her generously, "You draw so well! When you grow up, how about you become a designer at Uncle's company?"
Su Xiaoyu stopped painting and stared intently at him.
"I'm not going."
"Why?" Yi An asked, puzzled.
"Uncle's company is too small."
Su Xiaoyu said those words expressionlessly, making Yi An feel as if he had been struck by lightning.
Is your uncle's company too small?
He clutched his chest, feeling as if a mouthful of blood was stuck in his throat.
Yi An's gaze unconsciously drifted to the busy figure in the kitchen, and he felt a pang of guilt whenever he thought about what had happened yesterday.
His eyes darted around, and suddenly an idea came to him.
He raised his voice, "Xiaoyu, didn't Uncle promise you we'd go to the amusement park? How about I take you today?"
Su Xiaoyu did not answer, but instead turned her gaze to Su Yan in the kitchen.
Su Yan dried her hands and came out, offering a friendly reminder: "It's Thursday today, aren't you at work?"
Yi An countered, "Do I still need to go to work?"
Okay, that's how capricious small business owners are!
Su Yan didn't say anything, turned around and went into the house.
Yi An didn't know what her attitude was, so she deliberately raised her voice and said, "If you're not going, I'll take Xiao Yu there myself."
Ten minutes later, Yi An looked with satisfaction at the two people, one big and one small, sitting in the back seat.
Indeed, to catch the thief, you must first catch the king.

Lin Hui took Yi Kangle to the film set early in the morning to shoot a cover. As soon as they arrived, they were surrounded by a large group of fans.
Yi Kangle greeted them with a smile, her well-behaved and adorable appearance eliciting cheers from the fans.
The staff greeted him warmly, "Xiao Bao, you're right on time today! Come in with Auntie to change your clothes."
While the staff led Yi Kangle inside to change clothes, the director came over.
"Xiao Bao's mom, I have a filming opportunity here and I'd like to invite Xiao Bao."
Fearing Lin Hui might disagree, the director added, "This show will definitely be a hit, and our little one will become a child star!"
Upon hearing this, Lin Hui was not only displeased, but also gave him an annoyed look.
"Our little one is a child star, isn't he?"
