Chapter 170 Uncle Zhao is so pitiful shuhaige.net

When they arrived at the underground parking lot, Yi An turned around and saw that Su Xiaoyu had already fallen asleep on the back seat.

Seeing her unusually well-behaved and adorable appearance, Yi An couldn't help but smile like a proud father.

He carried Su Xiaoyu out carefully, as if afraid of waking her.

Holding Su Xiaoyu in her arms, Yi An suddenly sighed, "Sigh, Xiaoyu is so well-behaved and pretty. What if some brat tricks her in the future?"

He went upstairs with a heavy heart and ran into Su Yan, who was coming out.

Su Yan was startled. "I was just about to pick up Xiaoyu, but I didn't expect..."

She was stopped halfway through her sentence by Yi An's urgent reminder.

Su Yan turned her head and glanced at Su Xiaoyu, "Asleep?"

Yi An nodded heavily, pointed towards the door, and said with a hint of breath in her voice, "Open the door, I'll carry her inside."

Su Yan opened the door, and Yi An walked in, entering Su Xiaoyu's room with practiced ease.

He tiptoed and placed Su Xiaoyu on the bed, straining his face with every movement so as not to wake her.

Su Yan couldn't help but laugh at his nervous actions.

Yi An had just breathed a sigh of relief when she turned her head and bumped into her smile.

"What's wrong?" he asked, still with a half-drawn breath.

Su Yan smiled and reminded her, "It's not that bad. She usually sleeps very soundly when she's around someone she considers safe."

Yi An turned around and glanced at Su Xiaoyu, suddenly realizing something.

When did he become someone Xiaoyu considered safe?

Yi An smiled with satisfaction, and her gaze towards Su Xiaoyu softened even more.

Su Yan walked over slowly and asked, "Did Xiaoyu cause you any trouble tonight?"

Yi An thought about the chaos of the night and couldn't help but chuckle.

But he still said, "It's okay, Xiaoyu is very well-behaved, there's no trouble at all."

Whether it was because she spoke too loudly or for some other reason, Su Xiaoyu suddenly moved.

Yi An and Su Yan both tensed up, not daring to even breathe loudly.

Su Xiaoyu didn't even open her eyes before turning over, hugging Yi An's hand, and making soft, babyish noises.

"Mom, Uncle Zhao is so pitiful."

Su Yan paused for a moment, then followed up with the question, "How is Uncle Zhao so pitiful?"

"He's an idiot."

After answering this question in her dream, Su Xiaoyu fell silent.

Su Yan looked at Su Xiaoyu, who had fallen asleep again, completely bewildered.

"Huh? What idiot?"

Yi An looked embarrassed. "Well... well... it's a long story. Although it's a bit harsh, it's the truth."

After hearing this explanation, Su Yan was even more confused.

She wanted to ask something more, but her gaze inadvertently fell on the time on the wall, and she immediately changed the words that were about to come out.

"It's very late, you should go back and rest. I'm so grateful to you today, otherwise I really wouldn't know what to do."

Hearing this, Yi An felt a warmth in her heart, and she enjoyed the feeling of being needed.

"Alright, if anything comes up in the future, just give me a call. We're contractual allies anyway."

He stood up as he spoke.

He managed to stand up, but his hand was pulled back by something heavy.

Yi An turned her head and realized that her hand was still being held in Su Xiaoyu's arms, and she couldn't move it or pull it away.

Su Yan watched him stand there motionless for a long time, and then turned her gaze to him, only then realizing what was happening.

"Xiaoyu, Uncle is going home, Xiaoyu."

She immediately stepped forward to wake Su Xiaoyu.

Before Su Xiaoyu could be awakened, she was stopped by Yi An.

"Don't wake her, she's sleeping soundly."

Su Yan frowned. "Then what are you going to do?"

"I'll wait until she turns over and lets go of me. I'm not that sleepy anyway. If she doesn't let go of my hand for a long time, I'll just stay here for the night," Yi An readily agreed.

Su Yan was stunned. "If you stay here, how am I supposed to sleep at night?"

Yi An felt a strange sensation rising in her heart as she listened to her ambiguous words.

He pretended not to understand, saying, "Just sleep normally, close the door and sleep. I'll just make do for one night."

Su Yan glanced at the sleeping Su Xiaoyu, but had no choice. She turned around, went back to her room, pulled out a quilt, and handed it to him.

"Xiaoyu let go in the middle of the night, remember to leave!"

Yi'an held the quilt with one hand, nodding her head like a chick pecking at rice.

"I understand, you should go back to sleep now."

He said that, but what he really thought was: Whoever leaves is the biggest fool!

Su Yan glanced at him again, still feeling uneasy, before reluctantly walking out.

Yi An suddenly remembered something and called her back.

"Su Yan!"

What are you doing?

Su Yan turned around in an annoyed manner.

Yi An chuckled slyly, "Since I'm offering a sleeping companion service, how about breakfast arranged?"

Su Yan: "So you've decided to sleep here for the night?"

Yi An immediately pointed to the sleeping Su Xiaoyu as a reminder, and Su Yan's voice immediately softened, along with her imposing manner.

"Go to sleep!"

Su Yan casually urged him on, then turned off the light and left the room.

No sooner had she left than Su Xiaoyu rolled over and let go of his hand.

Yi An was startled, and then she understood what was going on.

He leaned closer to Su Xiaoyu and whispered, "Xiaoyu, thank you, my good ally, my good friend!"

Su Xiaoyu, who was sleeping with her eyes closed, suddenly smiled.

Su Yan was worried about Su Xiaoyu and was afraid that Yi An would steal the child, so she didn't sleep well.

She got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and found that Yi An was no longer in Su Xiaoyu's room. Just as she thought he had gone back, she turned around and saw him sleeping on the sofa.

She chuckled unconsciously, "What a scoundrel."

As Su Yan walked towards the restroom, she muttered to herself, "Did they come for breakfast, or for the person?"

In the morning, Yi'an was "woke up" by the aroma of food.

Before he even opened his eyes, he felt a strange itch on his face. When he opened his eyes, he saw Su Xiaoyu standing in front of him with a paintbrush.

"Dad, you're awake?"

Her words immediately drew a scolding from Su Yan in the kitchen.

"Xiaoyu, what are you yelling about! Don't you want your own father?"

Ignoring her scolding, Yi An affectionately patted Su Xiaoyu's head and suddenly felt a sense of family happiness.

Su Yan packed her things, pulled Su Xiaoyu along, and said without turning her head, "Breakfast is on the table. Eat it and get out of here immediately."

After saying that, the door slammed shut with a "bang".

The happiness that Yi'an had just felt at home shattered in that instant.

"My wife seems a bit fierce," he remarked.
