Chapter Seventy-Six: The Rumored Black Card

Duan Sisi tried her best to suppress her excitement, pretended to be calm as she got up, walked gracefully to Su Yan's side, and hugged her arm.

"It's not too late, it's still warm!"

When Su Yan received Duan Sisi's call, she subconsciously guessed that something might have happened, otherwise she wouldn't have specifically reminded her to bring her black card.

Upon arriving and observing the atmosphere in the store, she was almost certain of what was going on, but unexpectedly, she turned her head and met Lin Hui's gaze.

Lin Hui thought Duan Sisi had invited some big shot, but after waiting for so long, all that came was a little Su Yan.

Her face immediately relaxed a lot, and she deliberately smiled at Duan Sisi and said, "So this is the savior Miss Duan invited."

When Yang Lili saw Su Yan arrive, her heart skipped a beat, but upon hearing Lin Hui's relaxed and teasing tone, she immediately felt relieved.

She looked Su Yan up and down carefully, confirming that she was a complete stranger.

Su Yan and Duan Sisi exchanged a glance and quickly resolved the situation.

"Didn't I tell you to pick any birthday present you wanted? Why are you taking so long? You've been looking for so long and there's still no sign of you," Su Yan said deliberately.

Duan Sisi instantly understood and went along with her act.

"And you're telling me? I was busy at the shop, so I asked Wenrou to come help me. Who knew she'd get treated like this, and then they came up with this stupid rule that whoever pays more gets served first? Isn't that hilarious!"

In just a few words, she quickly conveyed the situation to Su Yan.

Su Yan glanced around the store, her gaze settling on the man dressed in a suit.

"You must be the manager here. I've never heard of this rule before?"

Before the manager could even speak, Yang Lili stepped forward first.

She said arrogantly, "This lady looks unfamiliar; she probably isn't a customer of ours. No wonder you don't know this rule; we've had it since we opened."

After she finished speaking, the manager did not refute her, which can be regarded as tacit acceptance of the situation.

Seeing that everyone was on her side, Lin Hui became even more assertive and then spoke up.

Her face was exceptionally kind as she spoke, but the words she uttered were rather unpleasant to hear.

"You're being too demanding. Your guest wouldn't know anything about these things. She's probably more familiar with the street stalls that appear after eight o'clock in the evening."

Su Yan just smiled, not annoyed: "Yes, I like those stalls because at least I can get the respect I deserve by paying money. Unlike here, it's only suitable for rich but brainless suckers."

No matter what Su Yan said, Lin Hui just took it as a pretext for her to talk nonsense because she was incompetent.

Su Yan paused deliberately, then slowly took out an inconspicuous black card from her bag and placed it on the table.

"Furthermore, I have never heard of this rule in any of your stores in the United States."

The United States? That's not their headquarters.

The manager was stunned. When he looked at the card on the table again, his pupils shrank, and he was so frightened that he couldn't speak.

Yang Lili looked at the strange expression on the manager's face, puzzled, and subconsciously walked to the table to examine the ordinary-looking card.

"Manager, what kind of card is this? Is it also from our store?"

Her words were full of doubt, clearly indicating that she felt Su Yan was just trying to fool them with a hair salon membership card.

The manager was still in a daze, staring at Su Yan as if he had seen a ghost.

Who is she? How could she have a black card?!

It's no wonder Yang Lili didn't recognize it. As far as he knew, there was only one person in M City who possessed this black card: Meng Jie, the president of the Yi Group.

He had only had the privilege of meeting this important figure once.

However, when it comes to the woman in front of him having any connection with Meng Jie, he prefers to believe that she is a black card holder from the United States.

The manager didn't answer, so Su Yan kindly explained for him, "You don't even recognize the cards in your store? No wonder you're so ignorant. This card is a limited edition of one hundred worldwide. Don't think it's too many; after all, with so many countries in the world, there's bound to be a few more figures like the Queen of Y Country."

Yang Lili was stunned by these words and turned to the manager, seeking a definite answer.

But the manager had no time to pay attention to her now and hurriedly came over.

"Madam, I am truly sorry. It was our oversight that we neglected your friend. I would like to express my sincerest apologies."

Su Yan raised her hand to interrupt his hypocritical words. If such words were useful, he would have said them long ago.

"I will report your service to your headquarters as it is. As for your high-sounding words, leave them to them."

The manager panicked, stammering, "Madam, please let me explain..."

Su Yan's good temper was finally worn away by his repeated harassment.

"I've already said it! Your explanation is for your headquarters!"

Her stern words turned the manager's face pale.

Su Yan softened her expression and walked towards Yang Lili.

She simply brushed the dust off Yang Lili's shoulder, and Yang Lili couldn't bear it any longer; her body began to tremble.

"To put it nicely, you're a saleswoman in a high-end luxury store; to put it bluntly, you're just a salesperson! Do you think you're any different from someone who sets up a street stall after 8 p.m.?"

After Su Yan finished speaking, she suddenly exclaimed "Oh!" and then added, "Yes, there really is a difference. You have an extra roof over your head to shelter you from the wind."
