Chapter 219 Your Dad's Here

But by this point, she had become somewhat insecure, and her speech became hesitant and stuttering.

Cocotte shook his head, delivering the final, devastating blow.

"If everything is as you say, then why doesn't Leon have a surname?"

These words made Vinya pause instantly.

The Tree of Adri gave all the elves surnames, authority, and power.

So, if it can really do that.

Why are there elves without surnames among the elven race?

Vinya looked at Kokot in disbelief:

"How did you find out... no, why do you think so?"

Cocotte stroked his chin and closed his eyes:

"Hoo hoo, well."

In a daze, Viktor's words echoed in my mind:

'By keeping spirits in captivity and making them happy, the natural energy they produce can be used as a power source.'

'However, you don't need this.'

The divine tree is ultimately an external entity.

'Even without the Divine Tree, you are still the Queen of the Elves.'

After reminiscing for a while, Cocot opened his eyes again, touched the back of his head, and laughed out loud.

"Well, although I was given some pointers, I also deduced it using my own wisdom."

"In short, I'm telling you all this not so that you can understand me."

As Kokot spoke, he looked at Vinya, who was completely bewildered on the spot.

"I came back this time, partly because of her."

As Cocotte spoke, he glanced back at Leon.

"On the other hand, I came back to resign."

As if he had been waiting for this moment, Kokot looked at the elves who had all arrived and said calmly.

"I'm tired of being the Elf Queen. Let whoever wants to be the Queen take the position."

The moment the words left his mouth, countless elves stopped in their tracks.

They surrounded the Spirit Tree, their heads surging in dense clusters, like another surging ocean.

These elves all rushed here immediately after receiving news of the Elf Queen's return.

At that very moment, they happened to hear what Cocotte said.

They all looked up, staring blankly at their adoring Elf Queen:

"Your Majesty, what did you just say?"

"She said she didn't want to be the Elf Queen anymore..."

"Why? Did she betray the Divine Tree?"

At this moment, the elves' eyes became lifeless, just like Vinya's had been before.

They couldn't accept it.

When Vinya came to her senses and saw the elves, she couldn't help but feel a chill run down her spine.

'Oh no! When did these fools get here?!'

Vinya knew very well that even she herself found it difficult to accept Kokot's logic.

These ignorant people are obsessed with the fact that the divine tree has given them a surname.

How could anyone accept Cocotte's conjecture?

Thinking of this, Vinya quickly shouted, trying to salvage the situation:

"Kokort Yad! Do you know what you're saying?!"

"The sacred tree gave you life, the sacred tree gave you strength! How could you possibly abandon this surname, abandon this identity?"

"The Tree of Adriatic will not allow it!"

Vinya's attempt to salvage the situation was successful. All the elves present regained some of their senses, and their eyes cleared of cloudiness.

They started chattering amongst themselves:

“Yes, Her Majesty’s surname was bestowed upon her by the divine tree, and she has no reason to abandon it.”

"Her Majesty the Queen is also an elf; she cannot refuse the Divine Tree, she cannot leave the Divine Tree!"

"Fellow countrymen, rest assured! Her Majesty the Queen will not abandon us!"

With just a few words, Vinya revitalized all the elves.

She remained remarkably calm, like a stern and unyielding high priest.

But her heart was already in utter chaos, like a dam bursting.

Cocotte's words had already completely shattered her psychological defenses.

If she were to say a few more words in front of these ignorant masses...

These ignorant people would naturally not accept it.

At that point, it won't just be a simple questioning; it could even escalate into... a riot...

Vinya dared not imagine what would happen to the entire Elf Forest at that time.

However, Cocotte seemed to be deliberately provoking them.

"The divine tree gave us life? Haha, that's ridiculous."

She stood with her hands on her hips, looking down at the group of elves below, her calm eyes carrying a hint of sorrow.

"Wasn't it I who gave you life? Wasn't it the previous Elf Queens?"

As soon as he finished speaking, a surge of intense natural energy spread across the area, completely stunning all the elves and leaving them frozen in place.

This also includes Vinya.

Because she was an elf created during the reign of the previous Elf Queen.

Kokot, with an arrogant attitude, gave a faint laugh:

"As for whether the Tree of Adrien will allow it?"

All I can say is that it definitely will.

The elves could no longer utter a word; only one question remained in their minds:

Why?

Suddenly, a terrifying roar that shook the earth emanated from within the Tree of Adrien, resounding across the sky and filling everyone's ears.

The high-frequency, dull sound became painful to the ears of all the elves.

This was accompanied by a roar.

The golden sun in the sky suddenly became even brighter and incredibly hot, enveloped in a crimson hue.
