Vinya was completely stunned by Kokot's words.
Her lips parted slightly, her eyes widened, and she stared at Cocotte in disbelief.
She quickly turned to look at Leon, her voice trembling as she asked:
"Your surname was given to you by a human?"
"Why, my fellow countryman? Have you also abandoned the sacred tree?"
As Vinya spoke, Leon turned back to look at her coldly, his indifferent voice slowly rising:
“It was the divine tree and you who abandoned me first.”
Vinya was completely bewildered and didn't understand Leon's meaning for a moment.
But in that daze, she suddenly opened her eyes wide, and slowly raised one hand, pointing at Leon, as if to touch Leon's cheek:
"You are... that elf without a surname?"
How could this be?
This was probably the most magical day of Vinya's life.
The Elf Queen, who had disappeared for many years, returned to the Elf Forest with the elf who had no surname.
Moreover, their return caused unusual activity in the Tree of Adrien.
It's hard for Vinya not to associate the current Tree of Adriatic with Kokot.
As if remembering something, she snapped out of her reverie and looked at Cocotte:
What did you just say?
"Is the head of the Clavner family your boss?"
Coco nodded, looking as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Vinya's pupils trembled, and she looked at Kokot's face with a sense of confusion.
"Kokot Yad, do you know what you're saying?"
"You are the Queen, you are the most honored being among the elves!"
"You actually... chose to follow a human."
Kokot sighed again and said calmly.
“I never said I wanted to be the queen.”
"If the Tree of Adriatic is truly omnipotent, why doesn't it create elves itself instead of needing an Elf Queen?"
Kokot's words, filled with questions, flooded into Vinya's mind.
She blinked in confusion, then looked up at the sacred tree.
Why can't the Divine Tree create elves on its own, and why does it need an Elf Queen?
Why didn't the Divine Tree choose another elf and bestow its surname upon that elf after the Elf Queen had been gone for so long?
These questions suddenly flashed through her mind, like heavy punches to her heart.
No, no!
Vinya covered her head.
It's as if something has altered my thoughts, making me deliberately think in these directions.
Vinya looked up at Cocotte, her face now showing a hint of fear:
What have you done to me?
"I just wanted you to be a little quieter; you talk too much."
Cocotte shrugged and continued:
"Since you've already thought of all this, why not continue thinking about it?"
What are you worshipping in a daze?
Vinya gritted her teeth, covered one eye, and loudly retorted:
"The sacred tree is holy! It is omnipotent!"
"Wrong."
Koko looked intently at Vinya and calmly refused immediately:
"It is not omnipotent, but because of you, me, and the existence of other spirits."
"It is all-powerful."
Vinya opened her mouth, unable to accept it:
"But...we were all created by the divine tree..."
"We are protected by the sacred tree, we are free, we can do whatever we want..."
Is it really that easy to do whatever you want?
Coco crossed his arms, his gaze slowly turning serious, and his previous lazy attitude vanished.
Vinya paused for a moment, listening as Kokot continued:
“Protect the sacred tree, and with the authority it has given you, do so for generations to come.”
"Aren't you ever tired of this monotonous daily life?"
Vinya stubbornly continued to explain:
“We are protected by the sacred tree and should serve it.”
"You are protected by yourself, and by nature itself!"
Koko shouted, and incredibly dense natural energy surged around him.
This energy left Vinya stunned, staring blankly at Cocotte, only to see Cocotte raise one hand.
Under Vinya's dazed gaze, Kokot said calmly:
"See? We have never needed the protection of the divine tree."
"On the contrary, it is the divine tree that has protected you so well."
"You've forgotten that even without the divine tree, you can rely on yourselves, just like me."
Power gushed forth from her hands like a fountain, transforming into tiny, mysterious sprites.
Seeing the scene before her, Vinya's scepter gently fell to the ground, as if she were questioning the meaning of life.
As Kokot said.
This is something that other elves cannot do.
Under the protection of the sacred tree, the elves had long forgotten what danger was.
They do not need natural energy to protect themselves, because nature will shelter them.
The elves can produce this energy, but they cannot control it.
Except for Cocotte.
She seemed to be a higher-level elf than them, able to control her power at will.
Because she is the Elf Queen?
At that moment, Vinya's eyes widened.
Like grasping at a last straw, he wanted to use a single argument to overturn Cocotte's conclusion.
"Because you are the Elf Queen...you were given a surname by the Divine Tree...that's why you..."
