In just two short months...
When will she be able to become as reliable as Henney?
Erica had no idea.
She gradually came to her senses and listened quietly to Henne's special tutoring session.
Time always flies when you're studying.
Erica herself didn't know how much time had passed when finally, a soft knock sounded at the door.
The maid stood outside the door and spoke to the two of them:
“Miss Henney, Count Victor is looking for you.”
"The Earl says it's time to go home."
Erica was slightly taken aback upon hearing the voice.
However, Henney had already straightened up and said to Erica:
"Ask any questions after school starts."
After saying that, Hene waved to her and turned to walk out the door.
The maid led Henney away from the door, leaving Erica alone, blinking her eyes.
"Huh? Ah?"
What did the maid just say?
Henny, is it time to go home?
Which family?
She suddenly came to her senses, as if she had learned something that shocked her immensely.
Henne and Professor Victor... are living together!?
She quickly ran to the window and leaned out downstairs.
After a while, a figure walked out of the door.
That was her father, Reeves.
The man following behind him, wearing a black trench coat, was Victor.
Then, right behind Professor Victor, was a person wearing an extremely incongruous, oversized robe.
It was obvious that it was Henney.
Reeve escorted Victor and Hennie to the carriage at the door.
Erica witnessed the two of them getting into the carriage that was not pulled by horses.
Her mind went completely blank.
She had no interest in studying anymore, as if she wanted to know something extremely important.
She hurriedly pushed open the door and ran downstairs.
......
Inside the carriage, Victor looked through the window at Rivi, who was already standing at the door.
"Then, Your Highness, please keep a close eye on those 'believers'."
Reeve nodded, his tone relaxed:
"Of course, their presence within the empire is my dereliction of duty."
"It's getting late, so I won't see you off any further."
Victor nodded.
As if he had thought of something, Viktor asked:
"Also, I don't seem to see any housekeeper in your house?"
Duke Reeves blinked, as if somewhat puzzled, and then replied:
"As you can see, we have never had a housekeeper in our family."
Viktor was silent for a moment, then nodded.
"I see."
"Please go back and rest, Your Grace."
As if he were deliberately pointing at something, his gaze passed over Levi and looked behind him.
"Don't let your daughter worry too much."
Levi was taken aback and turned his head away.
Erica was standing at the entrance of the mansion.
She looked hurried and was slightly out of breath, as if she had just run out.
Behind her, several servants were struggling to catch up with her.
"Miss, it's cold at night, why don't you put on some clothes?"
Victor saw Erica and gave her a faint smile.
Then, the curtains closed automatically.
The wheels turned, grinding against the bluestone bricks, making a clattering sound.
Erica stood there, stunned, watching the carriage slowly disappear into the distance.
Reeve walked over and draped his coat over Erica's shoulders.
Erica looked up and gazed at her father.
Her expression held a mixture of confusion and helplessness.
Reeve looked at his daughter with a hint of heartache in his eyes.
"So I told you from the beginning, Erica."
"Don't get too close to Viktor."
There were just too many girls following Viktor around.
Even Her Highness the Princess is one of them.
His Majesty has tacitly allowed Victor to have contact with her.
Even knowing that Viktor had a fiancée.
In this comparison, Erica has no advantage whatsoever.
Reeve sighed.
Similarly, Victor is by no means the kind of guy who would wantonly toy with other people's feelings.
This time, Victor didn't come to him simply because of the calamity.
His fiancée, Gwen Delin, has been in a coma for two days.
The reason is those so-called 'believers'.
These guys were already old friends of Reeves.
Thinking of this, Levi narrowed his eyes, a hint of anger rising in his heart.
'Cultists.'
'How many more of your accomplices must I kill before you understand?'
'The Empire is never a place for filth like yours to enter.'
...
Inside the carriage, Victor and Henney sat facing each other.
Henney lowered her head, avoiding Viktor's gaze.
No matter how much she grew up, she would become incredibly flustered whenever she was alone with Professor Victor.
Just smelling the professor's scent makes my body feel slightly warm.
I really want to... hug the professor tightly.
Become one with the professor...
Just then, the flapping of a crow's wings brought Henne back to reality.
She looked up and saw Viktor staring right at her.
Hene blushed with embarrassment.
Thinking of that image in my mind, I dared not look the professor in the eye.
But then, Victor's voice rang out.
"Take a few days off recently and come with me on a trip."
Hene was slightly taken aback, seemingly not quite understanding yet, when Victor continued.
"I've been thinking about it, and I realize I've been neglecting you lately."
Hearing Victor say that, Henney's cheeks flushed instantly, and she quickly replied.
"No...no, no, no, I don't think so, Professor!"
“I know you’re very busy, so I never say anything… oh no, no, I don’t dare to say anything… no, that’s not right either…”
She became somewhat incoherent, desperately trying to express herself, but unable to regain her composure.
Until she was so anxious that she was almost crying.
A hand was placed on Henney's hair and gently stroked it.
"Don't worry, I told you, I'll keep using you."
"Before you completely break down."
Hene paused slightly, her eyes glistening with moisture.
Victor's gentle voice rang in her ears:
"So, consider it done for my sake."
"professor……"
Hene raised her head, her gaze filled with a hint of infatuation and fascination.
She reached out both hands and grasped Victor's hands, which were resting above his head.
He placed it on his cheek.
It's like autumn waves being stirred by a gentle breeze, creating ripples of tenderness.
I will always be yours.
Forever, it belongs to you.
"Um!"
