Chapter 30 You say I'm not strong enough?

Viktor appeared to everyone's surprise, his deep red trench coat adding to the sense of danger.

"Your Majesty, Victor Clavner has arrived."

The eunuch reminded Emperor Auberty from the side.

The surrounding monks looked at each other and asked:

“Victor Clavner? Is that the head of the Clavner family?”

"Didn't they say that Victor wanted to trigger a volcanic eruption and ended up dying inside the volcano?"

"He didn't die, he actually came back?"

A mage suddenly asked Victor:

"Victor! You sinner! How dare you come to the palace to see His Majesty!"

Viktor heard the man's words and his tone was cold.

"A crime? What crime did I commit?"

He turned around and looked in the direction of the sound.

His cold gaze, like an ice spear, pierced the mage's heart, making him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cave.

However, soon, a burning resentment spread throughout his body.

As if he were actually there, the next second, he fell to the bottom of Mount Vesuvius.

The intense heat made it difficult for him to breathe...

Is that magic?

It's unbelievable that someone could cultivate the oppressive power of magic to such a terrifying degree!

Suddenly, Victor looked away and turned his gaze back to the king.

"Ha! Hoo..."

The monk clutched his neck, gasping for breath, desperately craving the gentle air.

Revenge, it was Victor's revenge!

He was in a state of panic and was drenched in sweat.

Even so, he still needs to stand up and question Victor.

"You...you sinner who almost triggered a volcanic eruption!"

"Even if you're not dead, you've committed the heinous crime of fleeing from justice! How dare you come back!"

"Oh."

Viktor gave a disdainful smile and never looked at him again.

“I came here on the emperor’s orders, yet you have repeatedly asked me why I dared to return?”

"Could it be... that you have more power than His Majesty?"

The monk quickly shut his mouth. There were some things that needed him to step in and set the stage, but he dared not respond to this matter.

However, he has already achieved his goal.

Some things, others will say for him.

The other mages quickly chimed in, their words filled with hostility towards Victor.

"Your Majesty, the head of the Clavner family is simply being unreasonable!"

"He makes no mention of his own crimes, and instead slanders us and His Majesty!"

"I implore Your Majesty to punish us!"

Emperor Aubrey waved his hand, and the surrounding eunuchs immediately shouted.

"quiet!"

Inside the hall, everyone obediently shut their mouths.

But they still stared at Viktor with hatred in their eyes, wishing they could skin him alive and drink his blood.

There was no way around it, because he was Victor Clement.

They were already the kind of people who resented them.

The second prince, who was in the crowd, shook his head.

It's a bit of a shame that Viktor wasn't cornered.

But... he didn't die in the volcano.

The second prince still remembered the descriptions given by the many sorcerers at that time.

The crater of the volcano erupted with astonishing energy, instantly suppressing the volcanic eruption.

If Victor was indeed inside the volcano at the time, trying to make it erupt.

Under that energy, he had no chance of survival.

"Tsk, what a pity."

The emperor beckoned to Victor, and the eunuch beside him immediately shouted in the hall:

"Victor Clavner! Step forward to hear the case!"

Victor moved to the position closest to His Majesty and awaited his question.

The emperor opened his eyes, stared at Victor, and asked, "Did you trigger the eruption of Mount Vesuvius?"

Upon hearing this question, everyone present craned their necks, curious to see what Viktor's answer would be.

Or rather, what they preferred was Viktor's sophistry.

Gwen was equally curious, but she hoped even more that Victor would tell the truth.

Tell the truth that this matter has nothing to do with him.

Gwen's ability to stand beside the emperor was not merely as His Majesty's bodyguard.

Her role is crucial; possessing a sense of justice, she can easily distinguish between truth and falsehood.

Therefore, when the Emperor questioned Viktor, Gwen's gaze remained fixed on Viktor.

The will to justice has been set in motion.

"The unusual activity of the volcano was indeed caused by me."

"hiss--"

Viktor readily admitted it.

Everyone gasped upon hearing the truth, and Gwen's heart skipped a beat.

She couldn't believe it was true, but her sense of justice told her the truth.

“Victor, you’re not lying.”

Gwen spoke, declaring Victor's authenticity.

These words ignited the emotions of almost everyone present.

They were like a volcano suddenly erupting from silence, pointing at Viktor and unleashing a torrent of attacks while hurling insults:

"You bastard! Do you even know what you've done?!"

"You murderer who almost killed everyone!"

"A volcanic eruption—do you realize how much responsibility you bear for a natural disaster of that magnitude?!"

Gwen also felt an unbearable emotion.

Viktor became the culprit who triggered the volcanic eruption, and she was the one who found it hardest to accept it.

Gwen felt incredibly guilty.

If a natural disaster were to strike, then she would be the greatest sinner.

She did not refuse Victor's request to accompany her, which ultimately nearly led to disaster.

"But I was also the one who prevented the volcano from erupting."
