"That's... a fourth-tier spell!"
The old mage pointed in horror at Victor, who was hovering in the air, and said these words.
Immediately, the hall fell silent.
"Fourth-tier magic!?"
"Could it be that Viktor has already become a fourth-tier mage?"
"impossible!"
None of the monks present could believe their eyes.
Noble Beck rubbed his eyes, and when he opened them again, the crimson sun was still in the sky.
"This is not an illusion..."
If Victor alone prevented the volcanic eruption, it only affected their mindset.
Now that Victor can use fourth-tier magic, he is truly a force to be reckoned with.
No one in the empire's long history has ever achieved such a feat.
Twenty-nine years old, a fourth-level mage.
The sheer density and astonishing power of this magical energy forced them to believe it.
Viktor has become a fourth-tier mage; this has become a reality.
The second prince squinted and looked up at Victor in the sky.
Its posture, like a demon in fire, seemed to be about to completely devour him in the next second.
The alarming temperature continues to rise sharply.
Before them lay a fully prepared magical array.
With a mere flick of his finger, Victor could incinerate all the mages and the second prince present.
Such a powerful aura is definitely not something that a third-tier magic could possess.
Suddenly, the second prince smiled with relief and reached out to extinguish the flames on his body.
Then he bowed to Viktor.
"I believe you."
"I'm sorry, Mr. Victor, but I have my doubts about you."
"I hope you and Sir Gwen can understand that under these circumstances, all doubts are perfectly reasonable."
The temperature inside the main hall suddenly dropped.
Victor deactivated the magic circle, landed back on the ground, and the flames on his body transformed back into his trench coat.
His ability to control and unleash magic at will astonished all the mages.
At this moment, Viktor's strength was recognized by everyone.
Even the emperor showed him admiration.
Many mages seemed to realize something, and the clever ones quickly smiled apologetically at Victor.
"Mr. Victor is truly a genius! A fourth-tier mage at the age of twenty-nine is probably one of a kind outside the Empire."
"The Empire's holy mages, even now, there are only a handful."
"In this way, our empire will gain another holy mage, and our national strength will flourish!"
The mages who had just questioned him quickly changed their tune and began to flatter Victor.
Only a few proud old mages remained, looking at Viktor without saying a word.
Without exception, all of these people had spent decades honing their skills at the third-tier mage level.
"See you at the summit."
It turned out that he was the one at the bottom of the mountain.
Even if Duke Rivi reached the fourth level, they would not be jealous, but would only offer their sincere blessings.
But who is Viktor? The infamous genius mage.
The thought that it was the very person they hated who had surpassed them and become a Holy Mage was unbearable.
These old monks were so angry they almost ground their back teeth to powder.
"How awful!"
Gwen, seeing the unfavorable situation suddenly reversed in front of Victor, blinked.
'How...how did he suddenly become so strong?'
She really wanted to go up and ask Viktor a few questions.
But now is not the time.
With the Second Prince showing weakness, the outcome of this court assembly was essentially set.
Nine years later, Viktor once again made the world aware of his genius.
"Oweiser, you may leave."
The emperor waved his hand, revealed the second prince's real name, and gestured for him to leave.
The second prince glanced at Victor one last time, then turned and bowed.
"Yes, Father."
He flicked his robe and left the hall.
“Victor.”
The emperor beckoned to Victor with his finger, "Let me take a good look at what the empire's youngest holy mage looks like."
Victor stepped forward, meeting the king's gaze with confidence.
Even if the person standing in front of the emperor was a powerful fourth-tier mage.
The emperor's gaze did not waver in the slightest.
Viktor bowed respectfully:
"My apologies, Your Majesty."
"It's alright."
The emperor asked, "You just said you defeated a magical beast, so does that mean the volcano won't erupt?"
Upon hearing the emperor's words, Victor shook his head and explained:
"I cannot kill that monster, I can only defeat it and reseal it inside the volcano."
"The volcano will not erupt again for at least some time."
"Of course, if it breaks the seal again, I will still defeat it."
The emperor nodded, a look of joy on his face.
"good!"
"You have eliminated a huge hidden danger for the empire, and I will reward you handsomely."
"Tell me, what do you want? Status? Power? Or wealth?"
Viktor is now a fourth-tier mage; such a powerful mage shouldn't be just a viscount.
He deserves a higher position.
Victor shook his head and said, "I haven't decided yet, so I hope Your Majesty will allow me to keep this reward."
The emperor nodded and granted his request.
The more he looked at Viktor, the more he admired him, and he blurted out:
"You are even better than your father."
