"You'll always be there to protect me, right?"
Victor didn't say anything, but simply turned into a ball of flame and disappeared again with a 'whoosh'.
But this time, Aurelion felt a little more at ease.
She knew that her teacher was always by her side.
Moreover, her teacher is very strong.
Her first battle in the wild gave her a feeling of complete abandon.
A sense of freedom and novelty filled her mind.
Soon, three more corrupted tree spirits emerged crookedly from the forest.
Aurelion was prepared this time, and the second-tier spell she had prepared in advance was released in an instant.
[Second-Tier Magic: Fireball]
A fireball, even more powerful than before, struck the three corrupted tree spirits simultaneously.
Although its level was lower than these monsters, the power of its second-tier magic still caused them considerable damage.
A flame suddenly rose from their bodies, and their branches collapsed and scattered.
One of them suddenly died.
But the remaining two tree spirits were more tenacious; even with their hands burned to charcoal, they still charged toward Aurelion with their mouths wide open.
Aurelion conjured a simple spell in her hands, and a black array began to form in her palms.
That was hallucinogenic magic that Victor had shown her.
[Tier 1 Magic: Gray Mist]
A cloud of smoke enveloped the two crippled tree spirits, who froze for a second before colliding with each other.
Under the powerful impact, their last health bars were depleted, and their bodies gradually turned into dust and dissipated in the wind.
Aurelion stepped forward.
These monsters do not leave behind corpses after they die; instead, they weather away and completely dissipate.
This meant Aurelion didn't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable seeing the corpses after killing monsters.
She picked up the fallen materials from the ground and heard several roars behind her. She turned around nervously.
This time, five monsters came together, one of which was completely different from the other four tree spirits.
It was a monster formed from intertwined flowers. Its body was enormous, more than twice the size of those tree spirits, and it emitted various intoxicating fragrances from time to time.
Beneath its body, thorny vines sway.
Aurelion's heart pounded as she watched this scene unfold. This time, she had no time to prepare her second-tier spell.
She could only deal with the two tree spirits with simple first-tier fire magic, and the pollen she kept emitting made Aurelion's consciousness less clear.
Even simple first-tier magic seems to have become complicated.
With a whoosh, the vine suddenly shot out from the grass at Aurelion's feet, wrapped around her ankle, and dragged her toward the flower monster.
The moment Aurelion tripped and fell to the ground, she instantly regained consciousness.
Danger is imminent!
But at that very moment...
boom!
It burst into a terrifying, inextinguishable flame, burning through the vines behind her.
The moment she was able to move, Aurelion turned around immediately.
The remaining three monsters were completely engulfed by the raging flames.
Viktor was bathed in flames, and in that raging inferno, not a single flame touched his body.
In the flames, he collected the green crystals left behind by the monsters.
After doing all this, Victor came out, and the intense flames that had been burning so brightly disappeared.
"You failed."
Under Victor's indifferent gaze, Aurelion, still shaken, trembled slightly.
"If this were a real skirmish, you would already be dead."
In the wild, there is no chance to relax.
Humans who lose consciousness will only become food for monsters.
Aurelion was somewhat disappointed, but she really didn't have time to react.
She wanted to say something in her defense, but instead she heard Viktor speak.
"But with me, do not be afraid of failure."
"If you fail once, start over."
As he spoke, Viktor's body turned into flames once more and vanished.
Once again, five monsters reappeared before Aurelion.
As if they had planned it all along, they attacked just like last time.
Aurelion was prepared this time; she pulled at the tree spirit while dodging the vines and pollen.
Through constant attrition, the tree spirits were burned to ashes.
Suddenly, vines emerged from the bushes and attacked Aurelion.
This time, however, they came up empty-handed.
Aurelion stepped back, and a flame instantly appeared in her first-tier spell, which she threw into the mouth of the flower-covered monster.
In an instant, pollen became a highly flammable and explosive medium, and the explosion caused by the ignited dust blasted the monster to pieces.
Orian breathed a sigh of relief, but this time, she didn't forget to keep a watchful eye on her surroundings.
Once she was sure there were no more sounds coming from the vicinity, she finally relaxed and plopped down on the ground.
The burn marks and the monster's corpses around her all spoke volumes about what had happened.
"I really did it!"
An indescribable sense of accomplishment welled up inside Aurelion, giving her an unprecedented feeling of satisfaction.
This was a completely new experience for the first time.
This made her extremely excited and thrilled.
She rested for a while, feeling that the magic power in her body had recovered to a near-complete state, then stood up again and continued along the mountain path.
Her course is not over yet.
