Chapter 87: A chicken's fate is not to become a phoenix

Looking at his long-lost smiling face, He Cao was not happy at all. Instead, he took several steps back to distance himself from them.

She looked around, trying to find a good place to escape.

But all that caught my eye were either weeds that were one meter tall or vines and branches that were more than one meter tall.

There were unknown dangers on the ground. She covered her stomach with one hand and tried to find a suitable weapon with the other.

"What are you looking at? Hurry up and tell me. Once we get the money and pay off our debts, we can go to the commune and buy a job. This will just satisfy your wish of not wanting to live in the countryside."

Pretending to be affectionate, Xu Weijun opened his hands and encouraged her to speak quickly.

Seeing this, He Cao was so frightened that he fell to the ground.

With tears in her eyes, she told the story of her money being stolen again, and emphasized that they would definitely find ginseng as long as they looked nearby.

It would have been fine if ginseng was not mentioned. As soon as ginseng was mentioned, Xu Weijun glared at him.

He thought about how he had just been like a dog, almost crawling on the ground to search, but couldn't find it, and all he found was a hole that had been dug by someone, and he became furious.

"Tell me, did you secretly use that money to support your lover?

My mother is right, you are a bitch, you deserve to be punished, if you don't tell me where the money is today, I will kill you here."

As he said this, he turned his head and looked around, until he found a low grassy area, then he strode forward, ready to pull her there.

Looking at Xu Weijun who took a step forward and looked around, He Cao suddenly shouted, "No," and immediately turned around and ran.

She was too familiar with this sentence and this look. Thinking of the torture she had suffered in the past few nights, her legs went weak and she ran away in panic without caring about the baby in her belly.

If he hadn't been pressing her closely from behind, she would have collapsed to the ground by now.

"Why are you running? When you were hiding in the haystack with me, didn't you say that you loved the excitement of the wild?

I just haven't satisfied you recently. Today's environment is good, you should be happy. Why are you running?"

Looking at He Cao who was running away in panic, Xu Weijun smiled evilly and followed her closely, like a cat playing with a mouse, watching her stumbling and running, and he would catch her in an instant.

He Cao didn't dare to stop at all. He got up as soon as he fell, for fear that he would fall into his hands.

In the past, she might have been happy with what he said and looked forward to the excitement.

But now, he has lost his manhood and will only make her afraid and humiliated. She must not fall into his hands here, otherwise she will not be able to go down the mountain today.

It was unknown whether He Cao was also satisfied with the weeds that Xu Weijun had taken a fancy to, but he actually ran there in a hurry, which made Xu Weijun, who was following closely behind him, look sarcastic:

"My mother is right. Look, I was just trying to scare you, but you couldn't wait to find a suitable place for you to lie down. You are really despicable."

He Cao was tripped by weeds again and fell to the ground. Listening to Xu Weijun's words behind her and feeling the man pressing on her, her eyes were filled with despair.

She didn't understand why she was still so miserable even after she traveled through time and space and snatched away He Wanqing's identity as an official's wife.

Just like she was before, beaten by her in-laws every day, scolded and humiliated by men. Is it really her fate to be a chicken and therefore unable to become a phoenix?

Feeling all his clothes being stripped off, He Cao looked up at the sky with empty eyes, without even the slightest reaction, which made Xu Weijun annoyed.

Then he showed his perverted methods and did not let He Cao go until she trembled and cried for mercy.

While the two were rolling on the ground, He Wanqing in the space was eating a peach while listening to the sounds outside the space.

Finally, after realizing that there was no sound outside, she finished the last bite of the peach and quickly flashed to the place where she had just dug ginseng.

Just as he was about to get up and leave, he heard He Cao's shrill plea for mercy, as well as Xu Weijun's triumphant and arrogant mocking laugh and cursing.

In order to avoid being discovered by the two men, she half-knelt down again and looked around.

Just one glance almost made her destroy her own eyes, pretending she didn't see it.

She didn't expect that the couple would be so extravagant, even doing it in the wild, and even having substitutes.

Using the leaves of weeds to block his view, he took another quick look and discovered that Xu Weijun was only torturing He Cao, so he slowly backed away.

She didn't stand up until she could no longer see the two of them.

Looking back at the place where she was begging for mercy, she quickly ran to where she was going before, as for the two junglers.

I looked back at the location and thought, forget it, this is halfway deep in the mountain, so I won’t go down to call for people to come and watch.

She ran all the way to the hillside she wanted to go, turned left and right, and cut the vines with a sickle. Finally, she saw two ginseng plants hiding under the vines.

Reaching out and touching the swaying leaves above, her thoughts flew back to her past life.

In her previous life, she used these two ginsengs to open the door to leave here, and it was also these two ginsengs that gave her the funds to open a small restaurant.

It was these two ginsengs that gave her the opportunity to resist Zhu Sanni's beatings and scoldings for the first time.

"Old friends, it's been a long time since we last met. I won't sell you out this time. I'll take you to a place where no one will find you. Grow up well!

I hope that many years later, when I leave this world again, you can become immortals as the legend says."

Looking at the ginseng leaves swaying back and forth, she smiled, gripped the wooden handle of the shovel tightly, tied the two ginseng plants with red ropes, bent down and started digging.

For the second digging, she was very experienced and perfectly avoided the places where they were damaged in the previous life, and dug out the two ginseng plants that were crossed together intact.

After sending the ginseng into the space, she straightened up, looked at the big pit up to her knees, smiled, and jumped out of the pit.

Just like before, she filled the hole back with a shovel, and then she left the mountain, looking back every few steps.

She was very careful when she came, and when she went back, she only took the same route she came, and reached the foot of the mountain before dark.

She was carrying a basket on her back and was just about to pick up the branches on both sides to take home for firewood when she saw Gu Chengan looking at her with a dark face from the other side.

As if she remembered something, she looked at him ingratiatingly: "Don't be angry, I will never go up the mountain alone next time, I promise." She raised two fingers to promise.

"Really?" Gu Cheng'an raised his eyebrows and looked at her with obvious disbelief.

He had just been searching in the mountains for a long time and was about to go back to call for help, when he saw her humming an unknown tune and jumping out of the mountains.

If he hadn't been afraid of scaring her and there were no idea where the wild boar was on the mountain, he would have said it at that time, why would he wait until now.

Looking at the wild vegetables in her basket, he sighed, reached out to take them and said, "It's dangerous in the mountains. Don't go there alone next time." He had no choice. This was his wife, and he couldn't scold her loudly.
